Kelly Jamieson can write hockey books, and I believe this is one of her best series yet! Must Love Hockey...and Dogs was by far one of the most fun reads of the summer. You Had Me at Hockey is next in that series. Kelly writes great characters with witty yet thoughtful dialogue. Josh and Sara charm you from the beginning with how fun they are together. What adds so much to this book though is you also get a few lessons about living life, caring for others and rising up when you're down. Lessons we all can take forward in life, written in a thoroughly enjoyable book!

I had to grab a box of tissues! I was sobbing near the end!
I absolutely loved Sara and Josh!! Sure, I wanted to smack Josh a couple of times but they both had the best chemistry and seemed to bring out the best in each other.
I can’t imagine this being written any other way. 5 stars.

This one was cute. I liked how Sara and Josh met and how they seemed to have a spark of chemistry right from the start they went with. I liked that Sara was chaos personified, while Josh was give me a routine to follow all the time. Josh had to learn to deal with the chaos that followed around Sara and if he thought about it, most of the time it was fun. You had to give the poetry reading a pass, one bad thing was bound to happen, but even then they found something to laugh about.

These two were low key about their relationship, both not wanting to hope for more, but secretly wanting more. I was glad with how things progressed for them, it took the pressure off. Things were going great until Sara did something good, something that needed to happen, but like all guys who are avoiding things, Josh lashed out and did so in a hurtful way. I liked that Josh saw the error of his ways and the person that helped him, because he needed to do something big to fix things. Josh picked the perfect way to grovel and get back into Sara's good graces, it fit them both and allowed them to find their HEA.

Thank you to Net Galley, Kelly Jamieson and Random House for an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book made me swoon. Sara was one of the greatest characters I have seen in a book in a long time. She made me laugh and cry. Sometimes at the same time. It was insta-love for me.

This entire book was adorable. Josh was sweet but stuck in his ways and needed routine in his life like he needed water and food. Sara made me laugh from her point of view every single time. And together, they exploded. There was so much chemistry. There was a neat side story about two stubborn boys playing hockey together. I also loved the inside look at the life of an influencer and blogger. It was so interesting to learn what they actually do and how it bleeds into every aspect of her life.

This is going to be one of my favorite sweet romances I have read this year. I just couldn't put it down. I loved both characters, even grumpy Josh.

Whoa. This book was NOT what I expected. At. All. You Had Me At Hockey by Kelly Jamieson was unexpectedly and refreshingly deep, and had me up way past my bedtime (thank goodness for Kindle back-lighting, amiright?).

Pro-hockey player Josh and Youtuber Sara both come to the story with a lot of baggage, and although a lot of that baggage is unpacked in the story, they don't rely on each other to fix their problems and actually not all their problems are fixed by the end of the book which makes this story real in a way that caught me by surprise.

I liked a lot of things about this book but the thing that really stands out was how it normalizes mental health and does not try to say "hey, if you find the right person, you can cure your depression." Don't get me wrong, this book is definitely not a downer, it is funny, bright, and ultimately very satisfying.

Josh's first impression of Sara is that she is kind of nuts. Cute, hot but nuts. Sara tries to get Josh to open up. She asked a lot of questions. Probably too many for Josh. You Had Me at Hockey is a funny, super sexy and an easy to read romance novel It flowed quickly.

Yes, ma'am! Yes! This is my second book in the Bears Hockey series and I adore these characters! There were LOL moments and swoon-y moments. Kelly Jamieson has such an incredible gift of writing contemporary romance. I loved Sara's character and all of her quirks. She kinda reminds me of me! :)

This was such a good love story. Josh and Sarah balance each other out. I loved seeing their relationship unfold. They are perfect for each other. Sarah meets Josh when she interviews him for her podcast. Josh has just been traded to New York, and doesn’t want to do the interview but knows he has to. They have great chemistry from the start. I laughed, and had a smile throughout the book.

I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. This book was just amazing. I just lost myself in this story and didn’t want it to end. It was really well written and just drew in you into these characters lives. I look forward to seeing what’s next from this author.

OMG. I wanted to devour this in 1 sitting and had to slow the roll. I've enjoyed a few of Jamieson's hockey romances but the couple new ones I've managed to get a hold of have not been very good. Bears Hockey #1, for instance, was a disappointment.

Now this was sooo much better. I loved Josh and Sara. I get why they each have their own fan bases in their own careers. They are lovely, evolved and resilient individuals. Jamieson did a great job showcasing them and making this a relationship you root for.

What an emotionally wonderful read! You Had Me at Hockey, by one of my top hockey romance writers, Kelly Jamieson, will give you ALL the feels. It was a total emotional roller coaster ride...but in the absolute best way.

This book has some of my favorite things:

🏒Hockey
🏒Hockey players
🏒Opposites attract romance
🏒Virgin heroine who is “who she is”
🏒Overcoming a past
🏒Friendships
🏒Tears/Heartbreak

Sara is a spontaneous, far-from-perfect, social media guru with a lot of fans. Josh is a hot hockey player who just got traded to the Bears hockey team and isn’t really pleased about it…partially because his ex-best hockey playing friend is on the team, and partially because changing things just isn’t okay!

"Our life isn't a book written by someone else...I have to create my own story line."

I LOVED the way the author introduced these two characters to one another! I LOVED the well-written characters! I LOVED the storyline! I even LOVED all the tears I felt slowly flowing down my cheeks!

This romance was full of humor, honesty, heat, and heartbreak. The banter between Sara and Josh was fantastic! I loved the romantic relationship that slowly developed and all of the realistic moments in this book. There were some parts of this book that dealt with cancer, accidents, death, depression, however…they were all so well written. The “hot” moments got pretty dang steamy (fanning myself) and descriptive and…wow!

I always enjoy when other characters from other books are weaved into a book, and this one has that. Some of the other Bears’ hockey family were cameoed in this one. Easton and Lilly (and Otis) from Must Love Dogs…and Hockey played a bit into this storyline and I was so deeply touched by that whole portion of their storyline.

I don’t want to “spoiler” any of this spectacular book, so I will just leave by saying… this was a 5 puck read and I whole-heartedly recommend it!

As I have read every one of Kelly Jamieson’s previous books, I knew I was in for a great story with a hot guy. This latest release did not disappoint! Josh was such a great character. You couldn’t help but fall in love with him. And Sara, great quirky, Sara. If two more perfect characters for each other exist in another book now, I have no idea where. I loved every page of this story! Well done Ms Jamieson!!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by NetGalley.

Man this was a hard love story. Josh is so closed off. He's been through a lot and it's understandable but it makes it hard for him to realize how much he needs Sara and to let her in emotionally. I liked Sara and Josh. Sara's occupation as a social media star is fun and interesting. She and Josh click from day one and the attraction is never their problem. Building a relationship is difficult and I wanted to reach into the book and shake them both. Well mostly Josh. I've enjoyed several of Jamieson's books and she always creates good character, an interesting progression to their HEA and a compelling story. This book met all my expectations and was enjoyable to read.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to leave an honest review. This is the second book in the series and I have read both. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I did with the first one. Kelly Jamieson has a very good writing style, the book flows well and was easy to follow the timeline and synopsis.

This book is about Josh Heller, a professional hockey player, and Sara, an influencer very popular on social media. Josh likes everything planned; after a tragic accident as a teenager that almost left him unable to play, he despises surprises. So when he gets traded from Dallas to New York to a new team, his world goes into a bit of a tailspin. Sara is famous on her blog/channels for being real, spontaneous and all out there; she doesn't always wear makeup and is open about pretty much everything. The two meet when the team arranges for Josh to be interviewed on Sara's podcast. They didn't realize how compatible they would be even though they are very much opposites. It isn't all easy however and this brings in to play there differences and how they deal with them.

This is a story about how two people need to compromise and communicate to make it work. It was a very sweet story and really enjoyable. I would recommend both books in the series.

The saying opposites attract has never been truer than when it comes to describing Josh Heller and Sara Carrington. Sara is quirky and spontaneous, while Josh is a little uptight and a planner. The two meet, when Josh is a guest on Sara’s podcast, and they find that they’re intrigued by each other. Chaos and some fun dates ensue as they get to know each other. But when Sara begins to find out what’s behind Josh’s uptight demeanor and decides she wants to help, will Josh be grateful, or upset with her meddling?

I loved the first book in this series, and that book had me super intrigued to meet Josh. Add in the fact that I love the entire Heller Brother’s series (which are about Josh’s dad and uncles), and I knew this book was going to be great! Sara is hilarious and I love that she keeps Josh on his toes, but I also have to give Josh credit. He planned some super fun dates that I wouldn’t have expected from him. The two are definitely opposite sides of the same coin and their banter is hilarious! Plus, the chemistry between the two…WOW. If you love hockey and quirks this is the book for you!

I love to read and watch sports and when you combine hockey and a swoonable romance, I’m there. While this isn’t the first or second hockey series Ms. Jamieson had written, she manages to make the characters' story their own. While they may be intertwined with others, she keeps each story fresh and believable. And the romance is off the charts and always with a HEA. Josh and Sara’s story made me laugh and I found myself wishing for my own Josh.
I can’t wait for the rest of the Bear’s Hockey series!

I really love reading the books in this series. There are funny, sweet, sometimes sad but they always reach a HEA. In this book we meet Sara and Josh, both characters are well developed, the storyline moves at a great pace. There were some very sad moments ( I am from Canada and the tragedy that is referred o in the book, touches my heart) and some funny conversations. So very happy the found someone who is perfect for them and it was wonderful to read about the second generation !

You need to read about Josh and Sara!

Hockey star Josh Heller liked knowing what he was going to do every day and being traded to the New York Bears was the last thing he wanted because it would change his routine. Josh never did anything without planning it in advance and meeting influencer Sara Carrington who thrived on trying new things was the last thing he thought he expected or needed in his life.

I loved You Had Me at Hockey because it crossed almost boring hockey star who needs to be in control of his life with a social media influencer who was all about being real. I had already preordered the book the first time I noticed it listed in the coming soon books.

Josh is the son of Tag Heller from Faceoff of the Heller Brothers Hockey Series.

P.S. Now you need to Heller Brothers Hockey Series too!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I didn't find this book as engaging as the first in the series. Maybe it's because I'm not Gen Z but the heroine was hard to relate to. She just seemed vapid and aimless. The hero seemed to be lost a lot in the new city. I appreciated how naturally their relationship developed. Overall I would just call this book pleasant but not . memorable

For me this title is so perfect, because Kelly Jamieson, You Had Me at Hockey!! There is no way I would miss one of this fabulous author's hockey romances because there is always so much more going on than hockey and romance. It sounds funny to say because it is fiction, but her characters are always real people with real emotions, issues and problems. Take Josh and Sara for instance; both have their own real problems but together they are able to work through them, although not always smoothly or easily, and be perfect for each other. They lift each other up and are the strength the other needs in life. This is a sweet, sexy, sometimes funny but sometimes emotional story about living for today and learning to sort out the past so you can move on from it in a healthy way. I loved every moment of Josh and Sara's wonderfully entertaining story and was rooting for them from the moment they meet.
