Danielle Steele does it again this was a very good read couldn’t put it down thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
Loved this book as usual Danielle Steel never lets me down. I have read all of her books. What I loved the most was the powerful family connection. Very heart warming and emotional at times. I fell in love with the characters and was rooting for them. I couldn’t put it down and did not want it to end!!
Not your typical book on older men having affairs with younger women. This is a journey of love and grace especially where none is deserved. Plots twists and turns. A totally unexpected ending. A subplot is the strength of sisters and their love for each other. A lovely read with just the right amount of spark and sizzle.
I enjoy Danielle Steel novels and The Affair lived up to its intriguing synopsis. This is a story of a close knit family who will come together when they are needed. Nadia finds out that her husband is having an affair.as she tries to figure out a plan her Mom and sisters lend their support... This is a beautiful story of a long line of strong women who are their for another and it becomes clear that life may look easy and simple but things are not as rosy as they appear. This affair brings all four sisters and their mother to a new level of closeness.
Thank you to NetGalley for an electronic version of The Affair for an exchange of my honest review!

I always enjoy Daniele Steel books. Enjoy this one about Rose and the hard decisions she had to make to keep her daughter from heartache. As a mother we want to protect them. Rose was a tough editor and ran her magazine like she saw fit until something unexpected popped up and she had to decide the further of Mode magazine and still protecting her love ones. Easy read.
The Affair
Author Danielle Steel
(This review is from a Net galley ARC)
The story revolves around Rose McCarthy and her four daughters ; Nadia, Olivia, Venetia, & Athena. Four sisters who are so close nothing can come between them. They are a close-knit family, but the Affair emanates from Nadia’s (a talented interior designer,) husband cheating on her with a much younger Hollywood star. Nicolas, Nadia’s husband is blinded by passion and the young star is pregnant with his child.
Rose is the editor in chief of the Mode Magazine and when her staff suggest Nicholas’s lover Pascale as the cover girl of the Mode Magazine she fights back hard as the staff do not know that her daughter is the wife of Nicolas. He was extremely selfish in asking Nadia to be willing to endure that his wife wait until Nicolas was done standing by Pascale until she gave birth .Her Three sisters close ranks around her, Athena, a jovial celebrity chef with her own TV show in Los Angeles, who does not believe in marriage ,Olivia, a stern conservative New York superior court judge who is harboring a secret of her own and Venetia, a fashion designer, happily married with three kids. Despite their varying degrees of advice Nadia must figure out the predicament she is in by herself. Danielle Steel weaves the plot of The Affair through the book and keeps the reader guessing on the outcome.
I found the story repetitive and not one of Danielle Steel’s finest novels, but it is an easy read.
This book revolves around a mother and her four daughters. One of the daughter’s husbands has an affair, hence the title. Rose McCarthy and her daughters are way too perfect for me. Rose is a publisher, and she has a cover shoot with a young actress, who happens to be having “the affair” with one of her daughters. I thought this book was good, it was not my favorite Danielle Steele book.
It did keep me interested and I wanted to see how the affair played out.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Random House Publishing through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
Author #Danielle Fernandes Dominique Schuelein-Steel is really known to many. One of her new novels is # The Affair. It's time to stock up on treats and settle in for this high-profile affair. One that rocks all women.
Thank you for the advance copy,

Slow to start, but a really good book once it got going. Loved the characters in this story! I don't know how Danielle Steel keeps cranking out the winners, but she does!
Thank You to the author and publisher for an ARC copy of this book. The opinions expressed are my own
I am a huge Danielle Steel fan and this book did not disappoint me. I enjoyed reading this book. I felt like the characters became part of my world and I was able to become part of theirs. This book was no-stress, no-anxiety. If you want something that’s going to be realistic, make you a bit mad, but ends well overall, this is the book to read. It’s a great summer read.
I received this ebook free from Netgalley but the opinions are my own.
Rose McCarthy is the editor-in-chief of a popular fashion magazine. She has 4 daughters that are as talented as their mother, Olivia is a superior court judge, Athena is a television cook and owner of a popular restaurant, Venetia is a fashion designer and Nadia an interior decorator. When Nadia's husband Nicolas cheats on his wife with a model/actress the whole family is crushed.
The story shows how everything changes when just one aspect changes.
It was an interesting story.
As with all of Danielle Steel books, this one is very well written.
Personally, I didn't like the ending, but that's just my opinion.
I give it a full 4.5 stars, because storyline and characters are on point, as always.
Sisterhood at its best. Loved this book. Exciting. Not at all boring. Powerful relationships among siblings. A mother who truly loves her daughter. Husbands who love their wives and vice versa. The scenes between France and the US were exciting and caused the novel to grow pivotal. Dialogue became heated; Steel was on top of her game. There were many short sections because of the many characters, which drove the novel to a steeping climax that felt powerful and purposeful. Steel does it again. Kudos. Buy this book for a quick and page-turning read.
I do not know how Danielle Steel does it, but she definitely has a way with words! I have read every single book that she has written. Although The Affair was a bit different than her usual romances, I enjoyed this book all the same. Reading about the love and bonds between Rose McCarthy and her four adult daughters was incredibly moving, especially considering the struggles of heartbreak and secrets. Great read! #TheAffair #NetGalley
Rose is blindsided when an employee of her fashion magazine begs to put a new up and coming actress on the cover of their September issue. The reason the employee wants to feature this actress; not only is she in a new hit movie but is having an affair with a highly known writer. The only problem is this man is the husband to her daughter. Follow this mother and her daughters through the trials and tribulations of deciding what to do over an affair.
While this book was a bit repetitive, I still thoroughly enjoyed the story.
When Rose McCarthy’s staff at Mode magazine pitches a cover shoot with Hollywood’s hottest young actress, the actress’s sizzling affair with a bestselling French author is exposed. The author happens to be Rose’s son-in-law, which creates a painful dilemma for her. Her daughter Nadia, a talented interior designer, has been struggling to hold her marriage together, and conceal the truth from their young daughters, her family, and the world. But Nicolas, her straying husband, is blinded by passion for a younger woman—and not only that, she is pregnant with his child.
I loved Rose and her daughters. They are always there for each other and brutally honest with each other. So when Nicholas has this affair and it is plastered all over the news media, Nadia's family is there for her.
I hated Nicholas from the start. He is a very selfish man. Wanting Nadia to wait for him while his fling runs its course, I was like oh Hell No. Nadia's emotions are all over the place, which I get but what he does and acts like is infuriating. She doesn't need him or his money since she has a great business of her own.
I enjoyed all of this book except for the end. I was not happy with what Nadia's choice was.
I received this ARC for review from NetGalley and Delacorte Press.
A painful journey with family connecting to protect and love their sister. A mother torn between her business and her daughter. Great read.
This book is in the top ten of my all time favorite Danielle Steel books -- I think she just keeps getting better and better which as a woman I find very inspiring! This book of course revolves around an affair -- the main character Rose has four daughters -- one of her daughters -- Nadia, has a very famous husband who is an author. He has a very public affair with a young actress and she ends up getting pregnant. The main question is what will Nadia do -- divorce him or find a way to forgive him. The answer to that question isn't as important as the ride Danielle takes you on to get there!!
I've been reading Danielle Steel's books since I was a teenager and with each book, she seems to follow a pattern, which has obviously made her very successful. This book follows Rose, a high-powered editor and her four daughters, one of whom finds out her husband is having an affair.
I liked how Ms. Steel created four sisters with unique personalities. Of course, with all of Ms. Steel's books, the characters are ultra-rich, successful and glamorous. Clearly, she writes from the world she knows and lives in.
Nadia's husband, a French writer/producer, falls in lust with the lead actress on the set of his current film. I won't give away the details of what happens, but let's just say I didn't like the ending of the book. I would have liked to see more depth with Nadia and a different ending.
I Loved this book. It was amazing and painful at the same time. I was hooked from the beginning. I love how the sisters really banded together. and supported each other no matter what decisions they made. The husband was truly a rat. But this story proved that love conquers all if you are strong enough to ride the storm out. Was truly a wonderful book..
