Another fabulous installment in the You series by Carline Kepnes. I can’t believe there is still more trouble for Joe to get himself into. A good next novel that still ties Joe into his past wring deeds. Not getting tired of this story yet!
Great character development and plot!
Recommended to all the fans.

You Love Me by Caroline Kepnes is a thriller novel following Joe as he starts a new life in a small-town as he tries to be a "good guy" after he run-in with the law. Joe is on his own without his son after Love Quinn's family tries to protect their son from Joe. Joe directs his energy to his colleague Mary Kay as he tries to win her heart. However Mary Kay may not be who Joe initially convinces himself she is and has her own secrets that Joe will have to discover.

This was an entertaining novel that was delicious brain-candy. The writing is well-written making you relate to Joe and drawn to him out of curiosity, yet also repulsed with his inner monologue. Joe is effectively written with it clear he is a sociopath, but also shows that sociopaths can have some bit of humanity. I enjoyed reading the struggle Joe has with resisting his modus operandi to stalk his love interests and how it gets harder for him to resist throughout the novel. It was amusing the situations Joe got himself into even when trying to be the "good guy" yet he has no semblance for how a "good guy" truly acts that it results in disaster usually. I enjoyed seeing Mary Kay and how her relationship introduced some topics like dating with a child and domestic workloads which felt realistic for Joe's progression. The ending was fantastic and had some great twists yet they fit well with how the plot developed. Overall I recommend this book for those who enjoyed the previous books or just the show! A great read that I can't wait to see how it unfolds in the next book!

Many thanks to the publisher Random House and Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review.

Joe has left the city life of LA, to live the simple life on an island outside of Seattle. Pursuing his love of books, he starts a job at the local library. Thats where he meets her..
Mary Kay DiMarco is everything he ever wanted in a woman. They are meant to be together, she just doesn't know it yet. Joe just has to be everything she didn't know she needed.
He is trying so hard to be good. Joe wants to do it right this time, but there is always something in the way of true love.

Poor Joe. He just can't catch a break. I have been watching him watch these women for two books, hoping he would finally find happiness. Sure he is an obsessed stalker who will stop at nothing to turn fate in his favor, but he does it with so much love that we forgive his homicidal mistakes. I love Joe. YOU love Joe.
In this book, the third in the YOU series, Kepnes to keep Joe on the straight and narrow. Everything starts off perfect, falling into place naturally. I really felt like he was going to make it this time. But Joe can't help himself. And that's why every book in the series is a hit. Joe is our favorite stalker.
This book is thrilling, frustrating and easy to obsess over. It is a must read if you're already hooked on Joe.

The Intimacy Experiment by Rosie Danan
Pub date: April 6, 2021

(Thank you @berkleyromance for an eARC in exchange for my honest review!)

Queen @rosiedanan does it again, ya'll. 👑

The Intimacy Experiment was a book I'd been looking forward to since I read The Roommate a few months ago. On top of Rosie Dana's exquisite writing, powerful themes, and loveable characters, I was so, so excited to read a book with some Jewish Protagonists!

There were so many quotes that I wanted to write down throughout the story. Having been raised in Reform Judaism, there were a number of "jewish-isms" that spoke to me. This story beautifully wove faith, relationships, sexuality, feminism, and self-love. It made me think about my own religion and my own upbringing in a new way.

One thing that Rosie Danan does perfectly in her writing is balance. The balance of strong and feminine. The balance of sexual and spiritual. The balance of self-love and compassion. The balance of generational and modern judaism.

This book felt real and written from a place of knowledge. It was nice to see Danan's portrayal of a Reform Rabbi as modern and young but also confident in his Jewish identity. I am so happy to be seeing more Jewish joy in contemporary literature.

Ethan and Naomi's chemistry was *chef's kiss* and I applaud Danan on her ability to humanize rabbis and sex workers as people who are looking for love the same way we all do.

Rosie Danan is an auto-buy author for me, and I can't wait to see what she comes out with next!

2.5 stars
I love Joe with his witty inner dialogue and creepy thoughts, which often makes me laugh out loud. Joe's my favorite psychopath!

Unfortunately I felt this book, the third entry in the series, to be somewhat lacking. It took too long before anything developed and at 400 pages, it too long-winded. I found myself skimming instead of being riveted. Perhaps this would work better on audio so I could have listened while multi-tasking.

While this one wasn't for me, I'm crossing my fingers for #4.

Disturbing, dark and addictive.
Three books and still can’t decide about Joe.
This book started a little slow for me, but still couldn’t stop reading, there’s something about Joe’s character that pulls you into the story.
After finishing this book all I can say is that he’s still my favorite complex character and that I hope there’s more.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House for this eARC.

I have loved every book that includes Joe Goldberg! So happy to have another glimpse into his crazy that we just can't help but love. You Love Me is a great addition to this series!

I can't wait for season 3 of You! If the Netflix season is half as good as the latest You novel then viewers are in for a treat!

The novel opens up a few years after Hidden Bodies (You #2). Joe is a changed man and has found someone else to love in the Pacific Northwest. At the beginning, I did have to refresh my memory on how things had left off, especially with TV series vs book series. Once I had found my bearings, I was sucked back into Joe's world with his newest love, Mary Kay.

So much happens throughout the novel that I wasn't sure how the ending would go. I loved all of the twists and turns that Joe's life takes and I wanted more! I'm so excited to see how this novel plays out on the screen!

I can remember reading You for the first time and enjoying it. I wasn’t of the opinion that it was an excellent book but I liked it enough to read on with the series. Hidden Bodies did nothing for me and honestly, I can barely remember it. When I was sent an advanced copy of You Love Me, I was interested to find out more about Joe but didn’t have high expectations.

There were many parts of this book that aggravated me, similar in the way that Anastasia’s inner goddess in 50 Shades of Grey drove me crazy. I hate to say this but I enjoy the television adaptation of You more than the physical books.

If you are a diehard fan and loved the other books in this series, pick this up. If not, don’t rush, this may be a better read from your local library.

You Love Me (You#3) by Caroline Kepnes - It was so nice to read in Joe’s voice again. This was a little circular at times and felt a little long, but I truly love Joe as a character and that remains here. Thanks to Netgalley for the free copy in exchange for an honest review

OMG! YOU LOVE ME is the BEST in the YOU series! If I could give this ten stars, I would. Caroline Kepnes is a writing Goddess!! She exudes so much confidence in her writing, keeping you entertained with every page turn, it is difficult to tear yourself away once you start reading. She keeps getting better and better.

If the (King) Stephen King, had a baby with (Queen) Caroline Kepnes, it would be —JOE GOLDBERG!

A massive fan of both the author and the character Joe (and this series), I have read every book in the series and devoured, and of course, the Netflix series (and anxiously await the next Joe installment in print and the third season on Netflix.

Please do NOT let this series end!

OK, readers, we all know Joe is a crazy sociopath narcissistic stalker. However, in this installment, he starts out stalking as usual and sets his sites on his new love, a librarian with a 17 yr old daughter. This book is fresh and unique. He soon receives all kinds of interference from characters that are getting in the way of his happiness.

For once, these characters have as much baggage as he does and maybe even more disturbed than he.
In YOU LOVE ME, you will empathize with Joe.

Honestly, you will. He has finally found his true love, and he shows remarkable restraint and patience. He is not killing the people who get in his way. However, he is set up to look so in many ways and is in danger at every turn.

He wants to be Good Joe, not Bad Joe.
He wants that happily ever after.
He wants his Cedar Cove.
He wants a family.

But he finds himself in very compromising positions, and there is someone in his way at every turn. I was feeling sorry for him. I wanted him to find happiness. He turns a curve and is quite likable and funny. He is tenacious, and he does not give up easily.

Joe has left the big city life of LA and New York. He now is the proud owner of a home in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Life is very laid back and small-town (there are many fun nicknames, and I had a blast reading this one). Oliver was a funny character.

To get where he is, he had to make some big sacrifices, sign a few papers, and agree to stay away from the wealthy ex-family the Quinn's and his son. He has money and is now volunteering at the local library, where he meets Mary Kay.

Of course, he keeps his past a secret. He wants a fresh start.

Yes, (the librarian) Mary Kay's mother was a Mary Kay cosmetic rep back in the day. Mary Kay has lots of baggage and secrets; however, Joe does not know just how many.

He wants to win her over. However, this time there is a 17-year-old daughter, Nomi. He befriends her and knows he will make a good stepfather.

Being younger than Mary Kay and having a daughter does not deter Joe. He is seeing this ready-made family and begins envisioning his own Cedar Cove. However, it is not that simple. Just when he thinks it is almost a reality he is blindsided. (more than once).

From Mary Kay's obnoxious friends, former high school dirt-bag, and others I will not mention because I do not want to give anything away, plus Oliver, the man the Quinn's hired to follow him, a nosy neighbor, and more. He does have a Whisper Room downstairs (former audio studio) and a guest house.

Fast-paced, hilarious, and riveting, you do not want to miss a thing! You will laugh out loud with Kepnes brilliant Joe thoughts and comebacks. Full of great pop culture, movie and book literary references, and authors Seattle (Sarah Jio) and Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove as well as Stephen King, etc. Your jaw will drop many times, going "no, no, no" and "yes, yes, yes!"

You will not see the final blow coming. The book wraps up (no spoilers here) with Joe in a different location, but I think there will be more to come. (fingers crossed)

Cedar Cove meets Dexter. Too funny. I was reading along and thinking I must put this in my review: "Cedar Cove meets Dexter." As as I moved ahead further reading the book, Caroline used this exact phrase in the book. I had to smile.

This knock-out killer thriller was my guilty pleasure Easter read, and I used as much restraint as Joe in the book. My ARC wish from the "book heavens" was granted thank you from NetGalley and Random House last fall. I downloaded and saved it for my binge-read, and trust me; it was well worth the wait. It exceeded all my expectations and more!

Masterful! Caroline Kepnes dazzles. Well done! Razor-sharp —A top book of 2021 and a must-read! She is a writing machine and I love her dark humor. She is like no other and no other character like Joe out there today.

Bloody Good! I always pre-order the audiobook (always highly entertaining) and the hardcover, a given. Now, in reference to the movie (2004) CLOSER, I must go back and watch it again.

Wow!!! Joe Goldberg is back and is more twisted and deranged than ever! If you followed the first two installments of this series, you won't be disappointed with this third one! After Joe has a change in his financial status, he moves to Seattle and volunteers at the local library. He instantly finds is next target in Mary Kay, the librarian who has secrets of her own. As in the last two books, things don't go according to Joe's plan which leads him to his infamous stalking antics. Caroline Kepnes has created a character that keeps us wanting more! Thank you to Random House for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

Joe Goldberg is back in the third book of the You series. This book picks up right where Hidden Bodies left off for the most part. Joe has moved on from the Quinn family and LA to a quieter way of life where he promises to be a nice guy and live an uncomplicated life. His mind and thoughts are still twisted, but he can rationalize most anything. And this time he is love struck by Mary Kay, a librarian, and will stop
at nothing to make her his. Trouble starts when he discovers she is married to a has been rock star and
her best friend hates him. Joe’s old ways of stalking and scheming creep back, but he tries so hard to
not to cross the line into his old ways.

Joe is a villan you love to hate. I found myself rooting for him to get the girl and live a happy life. But
what fun would that be? I am sure you could read this as a standalone, but there is quite a bit of reference to events in the other two books. I just learned there is a 4th in series planned, so super excited about that.

The first one will always be the best. I think I can say that with all honesty at this point, but dang was this still a roller coaster.

I went into this honestly wondering how Kepnes was going to continue this story after the way Hidden Bodies ended, but she successfully picked it up and kept it going. I will say that the first 3/4 of this book moved a lot slower than I remember the other 2 books moving, but man am I glad I kept at it. I will admit I am hard to surprise when it comes to thrillers especially. I honestly think that at this point I have read so many that I can't help but see where the story is going and usually predict what the twist will be in the end. Not this time!!!! I didn't see any of that ending coming and it was WILD!

This installment would have been a five star book if I didn't have to power through some tough spots in the beginning, but overall, so VERY VERY worth it in the end.

I have been a fan of Caroline Kepnes and her You book series since the very beginning. So, I was absolutely thrilled when I got an email from NetGalley to read You Love Me before it was officially out. I have been anticipating this book for the longest time.

I read You and Hidden Bodies years before the show came out, and I fell in love with them and Joe. And, now I absolutely love the show. I even got my husband hooked on it.

If you’re seen the show and the preview for season 3, you will have an inkling for book #3, You Love Me. At least it looks like the same premise to me.

After all that happens with Joe and Love at the end of book 2, in this book, he heads up to the Pacific Northwest to a sleepy little town on an island and sets his sights on the local librarian, except this time Joe wants to change. He wants to win her love the old fashioned way.

It really looks like Joe might have changed for the better. He seems older and wiser and really is trying so hard to be the nice guy, not be so obsessive, and for awhile it looks like it might just work. Except we know how things go for Joe. Trouble always finds him.

I don’t know how she does it, but Caroline Kepnes has a way to make me feel such empathy for poor Joe. Every single time I am totally rooting for him, even when he’s kidnapping or burying bodies. It just never feels like it’s his fault.

I would love to tell you everything, but I don’t want to spoil it. There’s just so much that happens. This book will leave you shocked. The final twist is just jaw dropping. I sure didn’t see that coming, which is my favorite kind of twist in a book. If you loved the first two books, this one is just as good with twists you won’t see coming.

Joe is back, and Kepnes has me once again confused over why I can’t get enough of him. This was a good addition to the series. Some parts had me second guessing that sentiment; but overall, it did not disappoint.

We continue on Joe Goldeberg story, he now moves to a small island and meets Mary Kay. This plotline seems a bit similar to the first book but with some surprises you will enjoy, remember Joe is in a different place, age and situation all changed. Then Caroline Kepnes delivered a twist and turn and now I need to know what will come up next. Joe is one character you will enjoy reading about, his life is certainly entertaining and the way he faces each situation is unique and refreshing, I definitely like the way he is becoming with and every after each experience and girl. I will love to see this one on screen as well.

I was excited to get back in Joe's head! And this twisty, demented book took this reader for a ride! And I say that with love. I loved how the reader sees Joe and feels his torment ... and his love. This book brought twists I wasn't expecting and I couldn't put this book down! I enjoyed getting lost in this book and remembering why we all love Joe, despite his craziness.

Joe is in Bainbridge, a small town where he hopes to make a fresh start and leave his troubled past behind him. He works in the local library where he meets Mary Kay and her teenage daughter. He seems like the perfect guy, but Joe has some dark secrets that he is holding close. Will they come out and destroy everything?

Told from Joe’s point of view, the reader gets a glimpse of Joe’s past and an insight into his thoughts. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I wanted to know what happened to Joe next.

This was a great book that kept me on the edge of my seat until the shocking conclusion.

I loved the first 2 books of the "You" series. I was totally stoked to find out there was a third. Joe is back, a new location and a new love interest. He has settled in the Pacific Northwest and has his sights set on a librarian named Mary Kay. This book was typical to the series, and it did not chalk up the the previous two but I enjoyed it anyway!
