Claudia Gray strikes back! Although some readers may find too many different roads at the beginning of the book, Into The Dark proposes a compelling and never predictable story, with a rich ensemble of characters.

They grow and bond during the novel, as this is one of the most important themes of Into the Dark.

The "darkness" in which we dive into, as the title suggests, is as unexpected and menacing as the Nihil marauders, but it is also the one made of secrets and fears of the Jedi: only by accepting their flaws, they are able to succeed.

Claudia Gray's prose is divine, with rich details and great introspection. Action scenes are well portrayed, especially when the Jedi use and "see" the Force.

Claudia Gray is probably the best writer currently working with LFL. I've loved all of her Star Wars books thus far and this entry in a new era of galactic conflict is no exception. I'm very excited to see where the High Republic goes from here.

Star Wars Into The Dark was a fantastic introduction to a new era of Star Wars. Claudia Gray continues to prove that she is an absolute master at storytelling, characters, and world building. The adventure started out a little slow but it allowed Grey's fantastic prose to shine as she introduced her wide array of characters. She juggled the different personalities well and gave each an opportunity to shine. The tension builds as the mystery unfolds into a fantastic second half of the book that I could not put down. I am very excited to see how she continues on in this new Star Wars era!

Star Wars The High Republic: Into the Dark by Claudia Gray, a good read into the times of the High Republic Jedi. If you are a fan or reading Star Wars, you will enjoy this book.

This is a top level addition to the world of Star Wars novels. Characterization is textured and sophisticated. I finished the last page wanting more of these people, especially more of them interacting as Gray really cooks with gas when writing ensemble scenes. The plot was enthralling, and the temporal gap between this narrative and the films, for example, sets readers up to think about both what changes and stays the same and how long, long temporality is at work in Star Wars. Wonderful!

So exited to be able to read this one, it was a lot of fun. The characters are make a dynamic padawan and Jedi duo for the ages, and it’s got a fun set up for The High Republic.

This book was a great first step into the new timeline of Star Wars. It made you instantly dive into who these characters are and what makes them who they are. It did a great job introducing the new timeline, the new villains, and new characters. Definitely will recommend to everyone when it comes out!
