Started reading Hush-Hush by Stuart Woods earlier today and just couldn't put it down. Its an exciting action based thriller For he mostb part ev erything was put together well and the plot moved smoothly from one activity to another. However. in the very beginning Stone Barrington engages in his long standing affair with the President of the United. States. They are together for a short time and then she has to go back to Washingon I have red several otherbooks and he has always been involved with the President. However in this book he quickly forms a very close intimate relationship with a young woman who is sen by the CIA to protect him. That just made tthe beginning of the book strange and not part of the plot. I wonder if Stone will continue his affair with the President or e with another woman!
I generally enjoy the Stone Barrington series, but this is an exception, I found it very disappointing. I can’t really describe the plot since it is so thin. Basically, Stone’s life is threatened by his old enemies in the Russian mob. Here they chase each other back and forth to many of his residences. Basically, that was the plot. Not much dialogue, too many characters.
Thank you Netgalley for this book.
