I'm so grateful to Laurieann Gibson, Thomas Nelson, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.
I remember Laurieann Gibson from Diddyโs MTV reality show ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ. This was the show that created the chart topping groups Danity Kane and Day26. I became a Laurieann supporter after watching her on this show. And after reading this book, Iโm pleased to say I like Laurieann even more than before.

Dance Your Dance is a very easy, quick read packed with many gems!
Here are a few of my favorites:
โ
Develop a resistance to giving-up! No matter what! When times get tough, donโt stop. Keep going.
โ
Thereโs as much power in talking to ourselves as in talking to God. Really talking to ourselves is talking to God, because he is one with us.
โ
Success is fulfilling and accomplishing the dreams that God placed in your spirit. Not what is measured by manโs limited perception of value such as titles, income and prestige.
โ
Never feel less than because your journey looks different than someone elseโs.
โ
Make gratitude a way of life.
โ
A โdream-based lifeโ is an option. Success is not unique to selected individuals. It can be achieved by anyone as long as you stand in your truth, and youโre willing to evolve.
โ
No judgement of others. Each person is on his or her own journey with a unique purpose that should be admired.

I enjoyed first half of the book the most. It is here I learned how much she loved dancing as a child. The story of how she followed her passion for dancing is so inspiring. Her drive and motivation at such a young age was amazing.

Overall I really like Laurieannโs message! I agree with her belief that no position in life is too small. We all have a part to play and every person should be valued & appreciated for what they do. Praise should not be reserved for the most recognized, those in high positions, or individuals in front of the camera.

In ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ Laurieann gives a voice to those often unheard and overlooked. And for that, I applaud her with a boom kack and all!

In this book we find out Laurieann's path in life. Her dancing beginnings and her rise to the stars. Her ups and downs and the way her faith has helped her to stay strong and focused. We also hear about a lot of famous people she worked with...and let me tell you, that list is impressive!
