Adrian was almost killed by her father at 7. years old. Saved by her mother Lina. lived with her grandma where she had a good summer by being a typical little girl and developing a crush on her friends brother.

Lina seemed to be detached about her daughter but more concern about promoting her fitness brand.

Years later, Adrian had her own line of yoga and workout videos. She followed her mothers footsteps. Mother and daughter were not closed. Sad!

Lina dismisses the death threats that Adrian was getting. Adrian was getting scared.

For many years the threat kept coming.. She moved back to Maryland. They continued and then the murders started and things got worse.
Lots of suspense!
Its a must read. I honestly couldn't put the book down.
I really enjoy Nora Roberts books.

A legacy can define you and build who you become. Adrian never let one moment define her life. She had a focus to achieve everything thing she could. She kept her tribe close and built an empire never focusing on the poems that continued to show up every year. Her strength will inspire you and the friendships she has made support her when she needs them the most. Raylan will simply take your breath away as he draws you closer into his world. Nora Roberts is absolutely brilliant as she weaves a story that will make you laugh, cry, cheer, and feel the heartbreak the characters feel. Five stars are simply not enough!

Thanks to NetGalley for providing a pre-pub copy for review. I’m a huge Nora Roberts’ fan and this book doesn’t disappoint her devoted followers. While the first quarter of the book had me asking if this was going to be a different Nora formula for her yearly individual title releases, it came together and the backstory helped to frame the current day main storyline with all of the expected and looked-forward to threads. Adrian following in her mother’s fitness video legacy when first introduced seemed a bit too easy, but as it developed, I realized Adrian was following her own path. Any devoted Nora fan will enjoy the yearly new romance and mystery offering. A new Nora reader would be interested for finding a treasure trove of reading possibilities. Always a fan!

The first Nora Roberts book I ever read was "The Reef." I was home with the flu in high school, and my mom's best friend bought it for me to read. I didn't become a huge Nora Roberts fan until I graduated college; however, once I did I started to literally mark released on my calendar. May is always Nora Roberts month for me, and I could not wait for "Legacy" to be released this May. That is why I was super excited to get a chance to read this one early.

I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It really stuck out to me how we developed the secondary characters in the book were. As a huge Nora fan, though, I shouldn't have expected anything less. All in all, this was a really good book, and I recommend it to all Suspense readers, regardless of it they like Romantic Suspense or not.

A delight from beginning to end! The troubled relationship between mother and daughter, the finding of friends, who turned out to be lifelong friends, the romance (which was foretold close to the beginning of the book, but like all good romances, had some twists along the way. And I loved the dogs, too. This book was a lovely escape - nothing too heavy, just relaxing fun. I loved it all.

Single mom Lina Rizzo and her daughter Adrian create an online fitness empire, but each of them do it their own way. They keep in touch, but don’t ever seem closely connected. Adrian spent much of her childhood with her grandparents. Now someone is sending threatening poems to Adrian from across the country and Lina hires a PI to find them.

Mixed feelings about this book. Starts out great and grabs your interest, but it bogged down in the middle. Lots and lots of conversation between Adrian and her friends with not too much else going on. The suspense element seemed rushed at the end.

Nora Roberts is a great writer and she adds her usual touches to the plot—food, dogs, small town life, and funny kids.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

As always Nora Roberts knows how to write a captivating romance with an ensnaring dose of suspense. It’s almost a given that her books are page turners. And books I’ll drop everything to read.

I also love how trendy her books have become. The author goes with the times, her heroines are strong, savvy, smart, and accomplished. And I really enjoyed the fitness elements, and the video making. It quickly became apparent that the author did her research, as always.

There were a couple things that made this book extra enjoyable: the kids, the dogs, the friends, and as always a charming town as supporting cast.

And of course I can’t ignore the couple. They were lovely, and I adored their connection, the easy repertoire between them, their chemistry and flirty back and forth. They made it seem so effortless.

And OMG the friendships. Nora Roberts is amazing at writing female friendships. The women are kind, genuine and their support for each other is heartwarming. I always end these books feeling good.

Also the suspense was just the right amount to add an edge to the plot. The ugly, bloody component always reminded me that something deadly was coming. But it never took away from the overall plot, the heroine’s journey.

The author found a formula that works for her and for me. Once a year I’m looking forward to her standalone with excitement and always, alwasys finish them with a high.

||> This book is perfect for anyone loving a great romance, with a wonderful cast, skilful writing and plot development, strong family roots, and the best kind of supporting cast.

Nora Roberts has, in my opinion, done her usual excellent job of storytelling. If a book doesn’t hold my interest, I tend to go to the back to see how it ends then decide if it is worth going back to read the rest. I did not sneak peek the last chapter of this one.

Adrian’s mother Lina is famous for work-out and yoga videos, and Adrian and Mimi travel with her much of the time so it is not what you would call a normal upbringing. Adrian only meets her father once, and in a drunken rage, he tries to kill her. Lina really doesn’t know how to BE a day-to-day mother to Adrian. Adrian has Mimi for that, and she has her maternal grandparents during part of the summers. In high school, Adrian finds her “tribe” in an unexpected way. And she finds her life’s calling.

Legacy tells about Adrian’s life over a number of years in a fluid manner; you get just enough of each time span without going on and on, but it doesn’t feel choppy when you find yourself a few years down the road. The characters in Legacy are believable and you can find yourself caring about them. Or most of them, anyway (no more on that because I don’t want to spoil it for you). I actually forgot about the Amazon book blurb when I started this book. When Adrian begins to receive threatening poems by mail, and there is a chapter from the poem writer’s viewpoint, it was a bit of a shock. But when it comes to books, that is a good thing. You won’t regret time spent on this book.

When you pick up a Nora Roberts novel you know you are in for a good read. This title deals with subjects such as, what do we inherit from our parents, what constitutes family and home, and overcoming loss. Loved the characters, including the dog love story.

This just went on and one and the main focus for the plot was pretty thin. I kept reading hoping for more substance and less changing points of view. OK for Nora Roberts fans. For me it was something I started skimming through trying to get to the meat of the story.

I love Nora Roberts and am always excited when she releases a new book. So grateful for Netgalley for the arc of her latest Legacy. She tells the story of Adrian from the traumatic event from her childhood to the successful life she makes for herself in spite of it. Love the relationship she has with her grandfather and her friends and co-workers, also with her mother though it is complicated they have love and respect for each other. This book is so well written, it’s a romantic suspense with just the right amount of mystery and romance. I think my favorite characters in this book are the two dogs, they are adorable. I highly recommend this book you won’t be disappointed.

I was incredibly honored to read an early copy of this book. I am a fan of Nora Roberts/JD Robb. I had just finished a fast paced thriller when I picked up this book. The first word that came to mind was CALM. The book has a nice pace with the detail and emotion I expect from this author. There is death pretty early in but it doesn't rock the steady pace. Aiden is a good main character. She creates her world to include interesting family, friends and the work she loves. Her support system is firmly in place. and the story has a nice love theme going on. But she has a stalker. The stalking is a ribbon woven through all the rest. As the story progresses the stalking becomes more of an issue. The ending is fabulous. Do I understand all the yoga? No but love Sadie, the dog. This story reminds me again why I have a library full of books by Nora Roberts. Her book made me smile, cry and cheer. What more can we ask of a book?

Another good book by Nora Robert’s. I will be reading this one again. Mystery, family, love and excitement all in this book. I didn’t want to put the book down. I will be recommending this book to others. The last five or six books by Nora Roberts have been not just romance books but books of what’s going on in the world with mystery, family and romance. Very good books that you don’t want to put down.

This is another great Nora Roberts read! It felt like it fit in with her other titles like “The Obsession” where it feels like a similar world but a very different story. I love knowing that the anticipation builds slowly, includes side stories and plot twists, but isn’t boring. I felt like I could sit and read all day without getting bored and wanting to find another book. Lina was a refreshing twist from other characters with the background and character development. Raylan both broke my heart and made me happy! I cried, I laughed, and I couldn’t wait to finish the book and see what happens! I’d definitely read it again!

I have read and loved Nora Roberts books over the years and many of them I would consider classics such as "Carnal Innocence" but this one left me cold. The suspense was lame and the romance lukewarm.

The story begins with a strong premise where the main character meets her father for the first time and he tries to kill her. But despite this interesting opening, the story quickly gets bogged down with details that didn't really contribute much to the story, dragged on and were, honestly, boring. And although Adriane and her love interest experienced trauma and tragedy in their lives, I never got a real sense of grief or suffering on their part. Reading this story was like looking through rose-colored glasses. Everyone's lives seemed perfect and things very rarely went wrong.

I was excited to obtain an ARC of this book but it disappointed in the end. However, thanks to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for this advance copy.

The first chapter took my breath away. And then it got really good!

Lina is a self-made yoga guru, having developed a huge line of videos and merchandise. She became inspired to start her company while young and pregnant with Adrian. Adrian's father wanted nothing to do with either of them until the night he tried to kill them both. Following in her mother's footsteps, Adrian launches her own line while still a teenager. She is also wildly successful and quickly becomes the obsession of the Poet who begins sending death threats at the start of Adrian's career.

The story follows both Lina and Adrian for nearly 20 years, detailing their unusual relationship as well as their successful careers. We learn about the personal relationships within both of their lives and I was especially drawn to Adrian. Despite her youth, she is intelligent, motivated and has a way of maintaining a positive outlook despite personal setbacks. She has deep and meaningful relationships with those around her. The story is also incredibly suspenseful whenever the Poet surfaces.

Kind of sill, but on a personal level, Adrian really inspired me to get off my rear and get back into exercising. I had become quite the slug during these COVID times.

I loved the storyline of Adrian, but for 2/3 of the book, it just dragged. I felt like I really knew Adrian by the end of the book, but it just felt like the story line wasn't going any where and then all at once, the story just started to move and then I couldn't put it down.

Love, Love Love this book!!!! Once again Nora Roberts is able to deliver a unstoppable read. A very engrossing story that builds into a fabulous story. I could not put this book down. I would say this one of her best books so far. I feel that it is very easy to get into the characters, there will be at least one of them that reminds you of your life and relationships with others.I am so very happy that I was able to review this book. I absolutely love Nora Roberts.
