Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book! The title and this beautiful cover drew me in and i was excited to read this book! I will be recommending this book to others for readers advisory
Molly has had to move house after her ex took everything. She ends up renting a house on a farm, and there she meets Cal. Deciding to have some fun for a change, she has a fling with him, which ends up with her pregnant. Do they have chance to be a family together?
The cover gives you the absolute wrong idea of what is happening in this book. Cheating abounds. And the main character just doesn't learn. Like seriously I rarely throw my kindle but this book was one of those times I couldn't not. Her baby daddy have sex with the baby sitter on her bed was the moment I gave up on this one. Not at all what I was expecting
Man, is this what the dating world is like right now? Geez, it’s been centuries since I’ve been there. This is a nice story about a young woman who learns a lot of life lessons in a short amount of time. Nice group of characters, nice details about world travel. And just when I was getting mad about who she would end up with, I changed my mind about who I was rooting for. All is well!
I received a copy of Molly Unplanned by Nicki Elson from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, this novel missed the mark for me. I felt that the plot should have been interesting given the story's summary, but the plot wasn't evenly paced...and there wasn't much of a plot, to be honest. Also, I wasn't keen on the main characters - found them to be very one dimensional and kind of boring, as well as not very likable.
I gave this book many, many chances. My first problem was there was so many plots going on in this one. Stolen money from an ex who cheated. The Molly has a fling with a new guy right away, Cal. Cal seems great for like a whole chapter. Then she discovers him fooling around with someone else. I had to reread that part because I thought "NO WAY!!".
After all this, I still kept reading. Then Molly gets pregnant. And he and Cal seem good. Now here is the part I gave up.... Molly comes home to find Cal fooling around with their babysitter IN HER BED!! I am lost threw my kindle against the wall!
Instead, I talked myself down and just decided not to finish the. book.
I gave it many tried after many things I did not like. This was the final straw. Neither of these characters deserve a HEA.
