Cold Conviction by Daryl Wood Gerber is a quick, thought-provoking read. I thoroughly enjoyed following the main character, Avery Adams, as she navigated not only to solve her parents' 14-year-old cold case (and hopefully help her sister, Rosie, jump back on the wagon), but also navigate through her relationships with Nick and her niece, Candace. The mystery is solid with a great supporting cast in Aunt Max... Ms. Gerber has a wonderful writing style, and I certainly hope we hear from Avery again soon. This is a great book for a cold and windy afternoon. Enjoy!
