This book is made up of three stories centering around Amish midwives, the new lives they deliver, and surprising romance for each one.
This was a very enjoyable, quick read by these three great Amish writers, which I highly recommend.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Zondervan through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This was a sweet trio of books. While the plots aren't very deep (hard to do in a short story) I was entertained and uplifted by each one. All the main characters were strong and independent Amish women who were trusting in God and His plan for them. It was refreshing to read clean books with no swearing. A perfect light hearted read that I can recommend to everyone.
This collection of novellas was an absolute joy to read. All three are beautifully written and hope your attention. If you like Amish fiction you will love this book. Thank you Zondervan Fiction via NetGallery for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Readers who enjoy stories about midwifery will like these sweet stories. Each features an unmarried Amish midwife who loves her job. The stories are quite predictable but will give readers a chance to sample a story from three different authors.

A collection of stories by three different authors. Being a midwife in the Amish community is hard work and often unexpected things happen, including finding love. Each story was a quick read and I enjoyed reading them..

I loved these three different stories about midwives from three different authors. Each story is different but includes a unexpected romance for the midwife. I couldn't put them down. I would definitely recommend this book.
In the first story, Bundles of Blessings by Amy Clipston, Kristina and Aidan meet up again after a decade apart and it seems like they never stopped loving one another!
In A Midwife for Susie by Shelley Shepard Gray, Joanna is scared to continue working as a midwife after a recent tragedy. Thankfully her friend and neighbor, Dwight is there to help her move on.
In Christmas Cradles by Kelly Long we meet Anna as she skillfully helps three mothers deliver on Second Christmas. Asa steps in to be her driver since his father is sick and they are quite drawn to each other.
I'm not usually a fan of novellas but sometimes when I am busy it's nice to be able to sit down and read a book in one sitting. These were all sweet and clean romances written by three ladies who know how to write Amish fiction.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.
Three novellas bring the joy of a new birth and a new relationship into the mix with stories from three popular genre authors.
In "Bundles of Blessing" by Amy Clipston, a widowed midwife has given up on having her own family, but is shocked when her ex-boyfriend Aidan returns to town. With his own troubles in the past, it seems a romance isn't likely, but can two old flames rekindle?
In "A Midwife for Susie" by Shelley Shepard Gray, Joanna walked away from midwifery after a tragedy and has kept to herself, even avoiding her old friend Dwight. When his sister is pregnant and he seeks her out, she must decide if she will take a chance on both herself and him to overcome past pain.
In "Christmas Cradles" by Kelly Long , Anna is kept busy on Christmas night with a lot of unexpected deliveries, and the help of a handsome man that she never expected.
All three stories are a comforting read that would go perfect with a quilt and a cup of tea.
I throughly enjoyed these three stories. Pure escape, and peace, which in these tumultuous times is extremely needed. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for a review.
AmishMidwives by Amy Clipston, Shelley Shepard Gray, and Kelly Long is a wonderful collection of three stories about the love three midwives have for their jobs, their patients, and the love they find for themselves.
Bundles of Blessing by Amy Clipston is Kristina and Aidan's story about misunderstanding and new beginnings.
A Midwife for Susie by Shelley Shepard Gray brings Joanna and Dwight to a new understanding and love to their longtime friendship.
Christmas Cradles by Kelly Long shows how God can bring together two people, Anna and Asa, who were very unlikely to ever meet, but by God's timing.
I give this collection a 5-star rating and encourage any lover of Amish fiction to read this book.
I was given an ARC through NetGalley by Zondervan Fiction and was not required to give a positive review.

I am not usually a fan of short stories, but this book is a good selection of stories about midwives who have chosen their profession over the usual Amish marriage. All the characters are real and likable, and the situations are also realistic. I recommend this book to anyone who likes books about the Amish. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.

Amish Midwife is exactly what I expected it to be, wonderfully woven stories about the Amish life style, with a mix of birth and a lot of love and warm feelings.
They are perfect reads for a snowy afternoon.
Amish Midwives
Amish Midwives is a collection of three short stories by Amy Clipston, Shelley Shaepard Gray and Kelly Long. Like the title implies, these stories on three midwives and their lives.
In Bundles of Blessings by Amy Clipston, we meet Kristina, a widow. We see how Aiden, her old boyfriend and her reconnect.
In A Midwife for Susie by Shelley Shepard Gray we meet Joanna. I like this story because the relationship between Dwight and Joanna does not follow the traditional mold.
We see Dwight support Joanna while she is dealing with a tragedy.
Last but not least, we have Christmas Cradles by Kelly Long. This was a refreshing story! We see Anna and Asa working together on Christmas night.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from Zondervan through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
Amish Midwives by Amy Clipston; Shelley Shepard Gray; Kelly Long is a wonderful collection of stories united by the common theme of the book title. Those who like this genre will be glad to see three strong heroines who have not followed the traditional Amish cultural norms find their own happily ever after. These three stories are fascinating glimpses into the life of Amish midwives.
In Bundles of Blessings by Amy Clipston, Kristina is reunited with an old boyfriend after she is unexpectedly widowed. Kristina has found joy in her new calling as a midwife and is stronger because of it. The misadventures of Kristina and Aidan are charming.
In A Midwife for Susie by Shelley Shepard Gray we meet Joanna who has stopped being a midwife after a tragedy that was out of her control. Her old friend Dwight helps her find healing.
Christmas Cradles by Kelly Long follows the adventures of Anna as she has multiple responsibilities to several mother's all at once. The tie ins to quilts and a new friend Asa was a wonderful addition.
The selflessness of Kristina, Joanna, and Anna was admirable. Their characters are believable and also inspirational. You will gain a deeper understanding of Amish culture. It was inspiring to see what God has in store for their future.
I was provided a free advance reader copy from Zondervan Fiction in exchange for my honest review on Net Galley. The opinions shared in this review are my own.
A great collection of Amish romance. Ladies whose common bond is they are all midwife's.
Engaging protagonist, and secondary characters.
Fun short stories
I loved this collection of stories revolving around Amish midwives. Each one was unique, yet they all fit together so well. I enjoyed the glimpse into the Amish way of life and highly recommend this.
I could not wait to read this book! The delivery of Amish babies by a midwife has always interested me, even when told from the perspective of a fiction story.
Each of the three midwives have a unique history. In the first story, told by Amy Clipston, Kristina is a widowed midwife and her former boyfriend, Aidan has moved back to the area. Will healing come to these two after such a long time apart? In the second story, told by Shelley Shepard Gray, Joanna is the midwife who has had a recent loss in her business and Dwight is her friend that walks alongside of her. In the final story, told by Kelly Long, Anna comes to town for one night to cover for a midwife and Asa is her driver for the night. Lots of experiences happen during the night.
Each of the stories tells about all of the joys and sorrows associated with midwifery and the relationships that are forged.
