A really short story about a young boy, Lamont, who doesn't know which university to choose.

That's it. The short story isn't a life-changing-thing, but is cool and fun to read.

Honestly, it’s badly written and so so boring. For 21 pages, it could be a bit better. I hate the concept there is nothing exciting or interesting and it’s awful.

I'm probably the target audience of this book and I genuinely am confused. The story read like an outline of a graphic novel based on a coming-of-age experience, rather than a short-story.

The central theme of choosing decisions based on what is best on a personal level is an important lesson.

I don't know if this book is considered a hi-lo book, but if it is, I genuinely think it could have done with another round of editing if only to make the story less repetitive and to add more nuance as to why Lamont's decision does weigh a lot on him.

While there are important lessons in this book, they were overshadowed by how clumsy it felt to read, though I think the use of present tense may have something to do with this too.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for allowing me to read a copy of this story. All opinions expressed are my own.

Unfortunately i don't think this is a book I should have requested, I'm definitely not the target audience and it turned out to be un-enjoyable for me as a result.

I liked this, is a fast read and is enjoyable, I liked it and I liked its content (I can't tell you too much because of spoilers) but it is something you could love to read and you could read it in a day so I recommend it to you

This was a really boring read. Yes, it was only 21 pages long so I can't be that mad at it but it was also 21 pages of nothingness. You don't care about the main character and therefore you don't care about his decision on schooling hence the whole plot is just a bore. Personally, I lost any respect for him because he was essentially almost peer pressured into a worse school in an effort to be "cool." No. Suggesting to kids that having their friends treat them that way is such a bad example.
It was also poorly written, with typos and grammatical errors. It was very basic and read more like middle grade or younger than young adult. The character didn't have believable thoughts for a kid his age.
Overall I just wouldn't recommend this sadly. It had the potential to be a great lesson but sadly it was a failed opportunity.
