These kinds of books tend to not work for me because they often feel a bit cheesy.
I will say that I loved the premise! It was so weird, which really intrigued me. Girl is in love with dead best friend who is now a ghost, but starts to fall in love with new alive boy? That's just wild. Major points for creativity.
The writing was good, so that part was definitely a plus. The reason I can't rate it higher is because though I loved the creativity of the plot, I don't feel like it was executed to the best of its ability. There were a lot of untied loose ends and plot holes throughout the story that kept pulling me out from being fully immersed.

Paranormal romances with ghost don't work for me. "Ever" was hard to get into and after halfway through it I just didn't want to go any further.
