Cute but not it memorable for me. I think a case of too cute by half and too much breadth but not depth…

Thank you for this arc copy of IT Had To Be You. It wasn't; my type of book but others may like it. I did enjoy the cover picture though.

Was not able to read the entirety of the book and cannot give an accurate or overall rating/review . As a librarian for a big library system, we most likely have a copy of this item. I will look forward to reading it in future since I am sure I will. We have gotten positive feedback for this title thus far and I am excited to read it when possible.

It Had to Be You by Georgia Clark was a solid story. Unfortunately for me, I really couldn't connect with the characters. I must be a way more vengeful person than is found because there is no way I wouldn't go scorched earth if my partner died and left half of our business to his piece of fluff on the side. I am really not a second-chance kind of person so I didn't connect or resonate with this story at all. Having said that, it was still a really good and solid story. So while it may have infuriated me, it was good to see how someone else with a very different temperament to mine handled the situation.

This one is billed as a romantic comedy and well, it sorta is, but then again it is really a story about several relationships that revolve around each other. This starts out at a wedding, one that is hilariously going wrong. What else could go wrong but the wedding planner receives word that her husband is dead. Months later a woman shows up at her door, a young woman, who her husband was cheating on her with, and lets her know that she was in the will and has been named as partner in the business. This is just two of the characters in this story that veer off and start their own relationships, along with the wedding singer, the waitress, the florist and all have their own lives and crazy happenings. I hope you have as much fun with this story as I did.

This book was just okay for ne. It's pacing was too slow and I had a hard time staying engaged. The characters were likable, but the story just didn't keep my attention.

All the Love Actually vibes from this one and I was here for it!! I listened to this one some as well and loved the full cast!! Really appreciated everyone’s story and thought they all made the book!! Also loved the representation in this!!

3.5 Stars!
Diverse-Romantic Comedy
It Had to Be You is a Love Actually inspired rom-com that follows several characters as they navigate love in New York City. All of the characters are connected in some way, and have their own romance arcs.
I enjoyed the concept, but didn't connect with many of the characters. My favorite story line was with Liz- it was fun to watch the friendship grow between her and Savannah. I really liked the epilogue as well. One thing I would have changed is the length of the book- it was too long IMO. The same story could have been told with 100 less pages.
Overall cute read especially if you like a diverse cast of characters/relationships.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sending me a copy!

I tried getting into this one a number of times and just couldn’t but it’s possible it’s my reading mood more than anything else because I love the premise and the wedding planning plot lot and connecting of couples. So maybe I need to give it another go.

This was such a fun and heartwarming read. This book centers around wedding planning, which I personally love reading about! There’s so much packed into this book, you won’t want to miss it!

I stopped reading this book after the first third. It just wasn't for me. I didn't connect with the story or the characters.

This book did not capture my attention long enough for me to finish it, which is a shame. I think it might be more of a personal taste thing (major involuntary reflexive avoidance of secondhand awkwardness) than a reflection on the book itself. If I finish it, I will post the full review on my book blog - but for now, it sadly must join the pile.

This book was an easy read, but I had trouble really investing in any of the characters because our time spent with each of them felt a bit too shallow.

This is adorable! I love all things wedding planning and this was so good. So many feel like book versions of Hallmark movies but this book is so fun and yet real. I love these covers. The cartoonish style is so very romcom perfect and feels just perfect for the stressful times we are in.

I absolutely loved this book and can hardly wait for her next release! Georgia Clark has become a go-to author for me. Her stories and characters are highly entertaining, uplifting and relatable.

I thought this book was oh so cute! But there were a few too many characters to feel invested in all of them - I liked the Love Actually/Valentine’s Day of it all but didn’t quite work for me.

This was a cute and fun rom-com that reminded me a bit of Love Actually, not sure if it was intentional, but nonetheless it was a fun beach read. It was light and entertaining.
There were many characters that sometimes I found it hard to keep track of all them, but I was able to sort it out. As always, there were a few twists that were a tad predictable, but certainly did not take away from the book.

Liv and Eliot have been running their own wedding planning business for 20 years.
After Eliot dies suddenly, he leaves his half of the business to his girlfriend... hmmm, this should be fun!
Honestly, Liv and Savannah handled the situation better than I would have; I loved the storyline and banter between them.
This book was more than I expected...in a good way...I was surprised when there were so many couples introduced. I'd say the theme is Love is Love...which I'm 100% on board with. We see through each couple that it doesn't matter what your age, gender, or where you are in life, when "true love" comes along, well so be it.
There were so many different relationships woven into the story, and I loved the New York setting. While all the stories touched my heart, Liv's story was my favorite!

This was fun! Like "Love Actually" in book form in New York. I was nervous about the shifting perspectives at first, because usually keeping up with that many characters can be difficult for me (and I usually play favorites and only look forward to certain sections). But I was invested in all the stories here and rooting for absolutely everyone. Such a fun book!

This was such a cute book! Some things I loved were the multiple storylines, which are easy to follow! The way Clark ties all of the characters, especially in the end. Overall, I enjoyed this one and look forward to more from this author!
