This book was super cute. Coll and Persephone were a lot of fun and had great chemistry when they were together. The hijinks and situations were fun and amusing. I very much enjoyed Coll and his family and their story and totally understood. It took me a little longer with Persephone because her motivations were often a bit hidden and not fully explained always. I think there wasn't quite enough space for her because there was so much world and backstory with Coll. It probably could've been like fifty pages longer to accommodate all it needed to balance it. However, what is there is fun and enjoyable and while things between them might seem fast they are still fun and, again, cute, and a good read.

A fan of Suzanne Enoch and her novels, I was very interested in reading the story of Coll MacTaggert, the Viscount Glendarril’s story. Coll is the oldest of the MacTaggert highlander brothers who really does not like to be told anything that he wishes not to do…especially having leading strings around his neck by his English mother who is determined to have all of her son’s wedded to save their lands. Taking matters in his own hands, he believes he’s discovered the Englishwoman of his dreams, however is the play on words “Englishwoman or English Lady” good enough for his mother.

His challenge and match for an Englishwoman…Mrs. Persephone Jones as other women of society have steered clear of this very masculine highlander. Persie, the heroine of this story is a famous, wealthy and independent English Lady who has turned to acting to protect her life and gain her inheritance. Her plans did not start out wanting marriage and including her handsome McBeth (aka Coll), but with the sexy allure of this MacTaggert brother on her heals, it made it impossible for her to resist the sexy, Scottish rogue.

This the third book in the series, I did find it lacking a bit from the others. Although there were some twists and mystery, it was not developed enough in the story which had me rating this a 3.5/rounded to 4 instead of a spot on 4 stars. As Coll was the elder of the sons, I was looking for a much more intense romance between him and the lady of his choice…as he was so headstrong against marrying.

The book was enjoyable and the banter between the characters was refreshing in the story. I do love when the relationship and chemistry between the hero/heroine mesh well together and how the family all pulled together to protect the heroine. Highly recommend the series as a read.

In this case, I owe both organizations for introducing a delightful 'new to me' author in Suzanne Enoch and by default gifting me a week of laughter and pure joy as I dove into the world of "The Wild Wicked Highlanders".

First out the gate readers should know that "Hit Me With Your Best Scot" is the capstone entry in "The Wild Wicked Highlanders" trilogy series. While it could be read alone, I would recommend reading this particular trilogy in order from the start to gain optimal enjoyment as each story is interlinked and picks up directly where the last left off with the total time span covered in the three novels being approximately 8 weeks of crazy back to back hijinks as three "wild" highlander brothers are set lose on London to hunt for brides before their youngest sister marries, triggering them losing access to their family's wealth. I was very glad that while I was sent the final book to read, that I paused for the extra time to get my hands on the first two (also having fabulous pun titles) books of the series and read them first.

That being said this final book appropriately centers around the drama of Coll, the oldest and final MacTaggert brother, to find a bride. As the oldest, he bares the most weight to not fail, as he holds the title and is heir to the Scotish Earl Aldriss, and responsibility for the livelihoods of their cotter, villagers, herdsmen, farmers, and their families. So of course this is the perfect time leverage the inappropriate match trope a.k.a. the star-crossed lovers story in a novel that circles around Shakespearean plays and the theater, as Coll falls for Mrs. Persephone Jones, famous London actress. "Hit Me With Your Best Scot" is the best kind of romp in the fact that it has a little bit of something for everyone: forbidden love, family drama, mystery murder plots, hot Scots, wedding deadlines, and a badly dressed stag named Rory.

I am giving this one an incredibly hard to earn 5 stars. Put ""Hit Me With Your Best Scot" and the entire "The Wild Wicked Highlanders" series on your TBR list and Suzanne Enoch on your watch list.

Another great read by Suzanne Enoch and a satisfying ending to the Wild Wicked Highlander series. Enoch created a perfect heroine in Persephone/Temperance to complement the hero, Coll MacTaggert, Viscount Glendarril, Two strong, well-written characters find that bending will not break them as they find love in this final book of a very enjoyable trilogy. You don't have to read the first two to enjoy this novel; but for those of us who have, you will not be disappointed in the reappearance of characters from the previous books and in the resolution of the family conflicts that have plagued the characters throughout.

I liked this book a lot - Suzanne Enoch writes wonderfully crafted, funny, and emotional historicals. This family is fascinating and over-the-top - as you would expect a clan of highlanders unleashed on London to be. I will say, this was the first book I've read in this series - and perhaps I shouldn't have started there. I think I would have loved Coll more had I witnessed some of the scenes from the prior book.

In brief, the MacTaggert's parents separated when Coll was young. Lady Aldriss took her infant daughter, the youngest of her four children, and left her husband when he refused to compromise with her for any time at all spent in London. She agreed, however, to keep supporting her husband's lands as long as her sons married English women before her daughter married the man of her choosing. All of Coll's brothers have found English women to love and Coll is the only one left. He hasn't found any woman he likes, let alone wants to court. Running from his mothers latest matchmaking, he hides backstage and meets Persephone Jones. The darling of the London stage. Persephone is definitely more than she appears. She is a talented actress and a chameleon - changing her looks constantly to avoid recognition. Now her life is in danger from an unknown person. Coll vows to be her protector and wants to use her to torture his mother. Persephone offers to help Coll tell which ladies like him for him - so that he can find a wife. It is, of course, clear that Persephone and Coll are meant for each other.

Coll is funny and over-the-top and passionate about Persephone. Persephone is practical, kind, and very much the diva she deserves to be. This is definitely a fun, wild ride to read!

I think you would adore it more if you read the entire series - but I still recommend it even if you haven't!

We finally get “The Mountain’s” story! Coll MacTaggert regretfully comes to see his mother in London, for the good of his clansman. As their future leader he is well aware of how much they depend on the financial benefits that his English mother provides but he has no desire to wed a “hothouse flower” like her just because of some contract. And then he meets the perfect solution, actress Persephone Jones. Persephone may be in high demand on the acting scene, but an actress as his wife will certainly outsmart his mother. And what happens when a pretend courtship starts to become real? Along the way we discover that all is not it seems with Persephone. Add in a bit of mystery, a lot of heat, and best of all some Highlanders and you have a recipe for an intriguing courtship. While Coll’s story is the last of the MacTaggert brothers (all of which are quite enjoyable too) you do not need to read the others to enjoy this book, although you will have a bit more understanding. I admit I am sad to see these crazy Highlander’s go as the characters are hilarious and entertaining. And the females are no fainting flowers. 5 stars must read. Enoch wraps up the MacTaggert brothers' story strong—Coll and Persephone are fantastic together. Coll is a gem, and delightfully not entitled about his relationship with Persephone and what he expects from her, from the get-go. Persephone is strong, fun, and talented, and maintains her independence well, not caving in unnecessarily but also not being stupid about her safety or the safety of others. She's a great leading lady—and I loved all the Shakespeare thrown in. To be honest, my favorite part was Gavin, the MacTaggerts' groom. He's just an absolute delight of a side character, and I'd even have liked a bit more of him.

The one thing that this book had against it is that there was quite a bit of wrapping up to do with the series as a whole (i.e. the family drama) which took away from the time that could be dedicated to Coll and Persephone's arc. This perhaps pushed the two of them into a friends-with-benefits situation and then into a relationship a little too quickly, or rather, without quite enough buildup. Persephone's backstory felt a little underplayed as well.

Overall, a very enjoyable read. Also, that cover, though!

I'm really sad I missed the first two books cause I'm sure they were as great at this one. And I won't be buying the ebook when it's priced at $7.99

Coll wasn't looking for a wife at the theater but he found Persephone. She wasn't looking for anything either. True love sneaks up on both of them while a bad guy attempts to kill her. Loved her secret. I just wanted an epilogue several years in the future to look in on all the siblings.

I was excited to return to the Wild Wicked Highlanders series to read about Coll MacTaggert's adventure finding a wife before time ran out. I loved how he was so straight forward and spoke his mind. I loved the interactions with Persephone. They were very witty, strong, intelligent characters.. All the characters in the novel are wonderful. It was a very entertaining read and I was very curious to find out who was behind the attempts on Persephone's life. A great read!

Coll must marry but falls for an actress. I like the book title, catching and had me humming. I liked the characters and the story line. This series has been a fun one. Scots crashing the ton scene of London was just too delicious to miss. I like the determination to wear their kilts. A good ending to the mystery of who wants to kill the actress. I enjoyed the book.

Suzanne Enoch is remarkable. "Hit me with Your Best Scot," is remarkable.
Persephone Jones, an actress seems to be having some trouble with someone trying to hurt, or perhaps even kill her. Coll MacTaggert has become not only her protector, but also her very good friend. Together,  they learn what the other means to them and the intensity of their devotion to one another. A beautiful love story!

4.5-5 Stars!! This was yet another great book by Suzanne Enoch!! The entire series ‘Wild Wicked Highlanders’ has been memorable! I’ve loved every book. I highly recommend any book in this series & very highly recommend reading ALL of them. They can be read as a standalone but I think it’s best to read them all, in order. I’m not sure if there is going to be more in this series but I hope so. I want to know what happens to the MacTaggerts & this book didn’t have an epilogue, so fingers crossed! This book has it all - mystery, romance, sexy times, heroic actions & a strong female main character! Coll & Persephone were great main characters. And this was an amazing book. I still have a few unanswered questions and I’d love another book or novella to wrap it all up! Either way, I HIGHLY recommend this book & the other 2 books in the series!

I really loved this one. It was a fast read for me, I just couldn’t put it down. I must say I enjoyed reading the family dynamic with Coll and his brothers & Persie and Flora and Gregory. Plus Hades is my kinda fella. Persie is a strong woman who plays strong women and that’s a woman every man needs by his side.

I usually love a good historical novel with Scottish Highland romance, but this one didn't quite hit the mark. I enjoyed the characters and the main plot of the book, but it kind of felt like there was no spark between the main love interest.

Really good read! Coll is awesome! This is the first in the series I've read but its easy to get into. The characters are wonderful and easy to love. The story is cute and sexy. Really entertaining.

This is a well written story but it needs more spark. This read like a paint by numbers story, I understand it's the last in the series so maybe everyone was just exhausted and racing to the finish line. I didn't feel the chemistry between Coll and Persphone and I thought there was too much focus on the family instead of their romance.

5 Word Review: Love, responsibility, scandal, family, secrets.

Earlier this year I got the chance to read Scot Under The Covers, the second of the Wild Wicked Highlanders books. While I have somehow still not got around to read the first book, It's Getting Scot In Here, I jumped at the chance to read the third book.

There is something about the MacTaggert's that draws you in like a magnet. They're wild and witty and I just want to swoon at the lot of them. They're big and brawny and fiercely loyal, and they remind of kittens almost in how caring and gentle they can be.

I liked how this story played around with the fact that Persephone was an actress and Coll pretty much always puts on a dumb highlander act. It was clever and funny to watch play out, and I love how both of them defied expectations. It was fantastic fun. There are secrets and hidden identities and a would-be murderer hiding away, and it all makes for a pretty exhilarating read.

If you're looking for a masquerade ball to tick off for Romance Book Bingo, then look no further, as Hit Me With Your Best Scot has a pretty tense and exciting one near the end.

Now that I know Coll and Aden's stories in full, I can't wait to go back and read about Niall, even if I know the gist of what happens from the two books that I have read. Suzanne Enoch is definitely a romance author to look out for if you love passion that make you want to swoon.

Another enjoyable read by Ms. Enoch! The last MacTaggert brother, Coll, has yet to be ensnared by any woman, despite everything his mother has thrown at him. Coll already has the reputation around London, for he says what he means and has no problem fighting. He is rather direct and meets his match with Persephone Jones, an actress. Persephone has many admirers, but has not let anyone in. She is witty, smart, stubborn, and Coll sees her for who she is, not as an actress playing a role in a play. Coll loves to aggravate his mother and decides that Persephone will help him, Persephone has her own troubles, so it becomes a mutual bargain. The attraction blazes between them, neither denying nor fighting it. But Coll cannot marry a commoner and Persephone enjoys the stage. But the heart wants what the heart wants and both will have an uphill battle with themselves and society. An enjoyable conclusion to the series!

This is the third book in the Highland series. I have not read all of them, but this one can stand alone. Coll McTaggart is the eldest son whose must marry to retain his fortune. As a hot-headed Scott, Coll is not about to let his English mother pick a wife for him. He is leaving the theater where is ambushed by his mother. He recues Persephone Jones from a bad situation. The story goes from there. I really enjoyed this installment. The writing was fresh, and I loved seeing a few of the characters I had met in former books. I thought the secondary characters really made the book.
