A lovely little book with some good tips on how to meditate better and with more purpose. I liked the authors voice, and found the material easy to read.
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have been trying to meditate more and get the stress out of my life. This book gave me a good place to start and I have been using the methods for a little while now. I have tried out some of them and like the visualizations and affirmations that were included in the book. I found it useful to keep a journal while doing this.
I enjoyed Meditations for the Soul and have incorporated many of the breathing techniques and visualizations into my new meditation practice. I enjoyed reading about the authors meditation journey. I found the exercises in the book to be very helpful.
I thought this was an ok book. I felt that I needed more time to read and fully use this book to my benefit. I would like to take the time to reread this book at a later time

This is a book about being mindful in addition to meditation. The author shows the reader how to become more in touch with the soul to be more present in the moment. The book has three parts. He talks about his youth as a musician and his journey in becoming a monk.
Part 1: Awakening to Soul in the Material World
Part 2: Strengthening Soul in the Material World
Part 3: Bringing Soul to the Material World
Each chapter consists of soul journeys with meditations. They are short but powerful and are followed by an awakening exercise. I found I recommend this book to anyone that would like to deepen their meditation practice.
Wow...I have trouble meditating most times. I just can't clear my mind enough...way too much going on. This book...it is such a savior! You learn so many new techniques and I can not wait to implement them in my meditation practice!
An excellent book if you want to learn more about meditations. It's well written and informative.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
At the beginning of this title the author shares the journey that led him from a sense of emptiness toward a richer life of the soul. While most readers will not be able to spend time in a monastery as the author did, they can benefit from the wisdom that he imparts in this title.
The author provides a series of chapters that offer meditations practices with breathing techniques, visualizations and affirmations. There are also exercises and quizzes.
For readers who are interested in an exploration of their inner selves and who are open to the practices of meditation, this title is worth a look. Spending a few minutes each day contemplating and breathing can be so enriching.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this book. All opinions are my own.
What a wonderful informative book on soul meditations. There are lots of meditations to try for all different aspects of the soul journey.
Will definitely be buying a hard copy of this when its out so that I can refer to it all again in book form.
Thank you Llewellyn Publishing and Netgalley.
