I am not sure if it was the era in which it was still, of the vague sense of romance which made me not able to fully immerse myself in this book. It is a strong mystery with some fascinating, if dark, themes.

this was a great mystery novel, I had a lot of fun to figure out how to solve the mystery. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more from the author.
