This is a great book for children in the preschool age range. This book is perfect the perfect gift for a kiddo who is getting ready to start kindergarten or preschool as they will be able to relate to starting school and having the same emotions.
The story is easy to follow and has a great message.
This is a cute book on preparing a toddler to go to daycare/ preschool.
Good illustrations. No bright colours.
Description
A little crocodile explores a day at the park in this colorful, noisy book filled with sounds and new experiences -- some wonderful, some not -- that are sure to delight toddlers.
What sounds does the Little Crocodile hear on the first day of preschool?
The alarm clock goes ring, ring
The car goes vroom vroom
The elephant says peekaboo
The drum goes rat-a-tat
The food goes nom nom nom
And the crocodile says... WAHHHH!
In this charming book of sounds, a little crocodile experiences the highs and lows of preschool, ultimately enjoying their day . . . after a small meltdown, of course! Little ones will delight in the adorable illustrations and fun read-aloud, and parents will delight in the sly humor and familiar emotional rollercoaster of a toddler's day.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This is a simple read for little ones who have just started to read and it follows Little Crocodile through his day of preschool.
Sometimes you have to read a sweet and simplistic book to feel some comfort and remember childhood memories. This adorable short little tale hit that for me, and I think would be a lovely addition to some little one's libraries.
Thank you, NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to review this title.
I really thought this book was cute and the illustrations were well done and colorful. Also, I liked all the selections of sounds- they were perfect for the preschool age-range. As I read the story, you can feel the emotions that younger ones may go through during their day and helps even adults to relate to those emotions/feelings.
This is an adorable book with just a few words on every page, which is perfect for little ones to begin to read or even to read along with their parents. The illustrations are so cute and this makes a perfect bedtime story!
The perfect book for toddlers to practice making sounds while you read aloud. A great interactive book for lap time or a read aloud for a group.
There are lots of sounds around little crocodile as he experiences his first day ay daycare away from mom. While he’s nervous at first he has a great first day!

How fun was this book! A great read-a-long option that will have everyone in giggles! I loved the pictures on each page & how fun the book was as a whole! We had so much fun reading this one!!
The noises that happen during our day are easy to ignore for adults, but children will enjoy learning about a day at preschool through their sounds. Reading a book like this makes for great guided learning for young minds - use it as a guideline for a day of noticing the sounds around us!
This book was so cute, and my three year old loved reading along with me. The illustrations were cute and were a great addition to the sounds. There was a little bit of a story, but overall this book was just great fun.
With bright and engaging illustrations, and onomatopoeia word usage, this follows a little crocodile throughout it's day and you get to learn what crocodiles say!
"What does Little Crocodile Say?" is a wonderfully interactive book for kiddos and adults! The fun onomatopoeia keeps the story flowing and lighthearted. The pictures are adorable and a beautiful soft, neutral shade of the colors is utilized which gives the book a very relaxing and comfortable vibe. This family friendly book is a great read-a-loud and would be a great addition to a home or classroom library!
Thank you to the publisher for the free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
A quaint telling of a Little Crocodile's first day jitters. Simple text explain all the sounds that Little Crocodile hears as he completes the routine that is always associated with getting ready to go to school, the nerves that go along with being in a new place, and the enjoyable activities that little crocodile ends up getting to do! Soft and calm illustrations perfectly depict the overall pleasantness of the entire day.
Perfect children’s book for those who love sounds and repeating back phrases and animal noises. Would be a great read for introducing daily routines and for kiddos who like a more drawn animation style of animals and characters.
"What Does Little Crocodile Say?" follows the first day of preschool for a little crocodile and all the sounds associated with the activities of the day. We watch as he takes in the day from his morning wake up, to his drop off at preschool, to the activities they get to do and then finally to getting picked up by his mother. This was a super fun read for my kids with great pictures and easy to follow along simple sentences. My 4 year old was able to really get into it because preschool is closer to what he gets to experience while my 6 year old was able to read it. It was a short and simple book that I would recommend for a children's library!
I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy.
I received an advance copy of, What Does Little Crocodile Say? by Eva Montanari. This book is so cute. What does little crocodile hear, say, and who doe she love the most?
A very cute and adorable story about a little crocodile’s first day of preschool. Includes various animal “sayings” and the artwork is just adorable! I think this would be an adorable read for kids!
