Interesting, but I had some difficulty finding the point. Maybe the point is that there is no point, but if that's the point, it seems pointless to read a graphic novel about pointlessness. Unless, of course, the work is entertaining, because entertainment is its own point. Jam is only so-so in the entertainment it serves up. Yahtzee Croshaw likes to make fun of people (or types of people) and he does that with one-note jokes that are sometimes funny and sometimes unfair. But maybe the point is that life is unfair because it's pointless. I think Croshaw tried too hard to be ironic or post-ironic and some of it works but some of it is just dull. Maybe cutting a hundred pages of redundant material would have helped.
