Tell me your favorite book and I'll tell you who you are. Wendy Wax does a brilliant job introducing a cast of characters who find common ground at a local bookstore's monthly book club. Spanning the breadth of Atlanta, the group bonds of the shared experience of coming to terms with who you are in the aftermath of a breakup. Told from multiple narrators, insights into love at different stages of life are passed around and elegantly presented as a tasting menu that comes together when people unite for a common cause. While that might sound lofty, the story is fun to read, a feel-good tale to make you forget your troubles and lose yourself in the power of storytelling. The Break-Up Book Club is for those who believe in books and silver linings.

This book was so enjoyable! I enjoyed the story from the first page to the last page, and I found the characters so endearing. I loved that the story centered around women finding their way after their life changed due to the men they loved. There was multi-generational representation in the story, which was a wonderful way to add depth and dimension to the friendships in the book. I would totally want to to be a member of this book club! Ultimately, I loved two things about this book the most: the characters and the way they made me feel. I felt all the emotions while I read this, and I felt for every character in different ways. These are not characters you will soon forget, and I hope you will consider giving this book a pre-order! Thank you so much to the publisher and author for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I thought I was doing this earlier.... Love Wendy Wax. If you haven't read her Beach series you are surely missing out on a great series... her characters become my friends, almost family.... her writing is so fluid and not mish mash, the only thing I have never been crazy about is going from one character to another in every chapter, only because I am so involved in who I am reading, then the chapter ends and it's the next character, so I get involved with that one.... I love her writing. The blurb on this book is something that I knew I would like, Women's fiction, where the love is.

This was a wonderful and rich story centering around a book club that brought together a varied group of book lovers and created a community of friends. I loved it although some of the stories were hard hitting because I have been there. Four of the women are spotlighted as they go through difficult break ups in their lives. It was very entertaining as they helped each other find peace. There is a touch of romance but that really isn't the point of this beautiful story. They all find friendship and a shared sense of community. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't has a perfect life.

The Break-Up Book Club is a rom-com featuring interconnected characters.

Every character is going through similar trials of trying to find themselves after a break-up, with each character having their own voice. I enjoyed that the characters were connected because of a book-club and that they were able to bond through that book-club.

My favorite story followed Sara. I wanted to keep reading just to see how her story turned out with her mother-in-law and husband. Erin's story was a close second though. I loved that this didn't focus on romantic relationships, rather on friendships and family connections.

This really was a fun story about an Atlanta book-club that was "not your momma's book-club". I recommend this to anyone who is working on finding themselves again after a break-up or just because.

In this story, four different women have one thing in common: they are members of a local book club and truly value the experience. They love to read and talk about books. We get to know them well, because this story is told in alternating points of view among the four women (Jazmine, Judith, Sara, and Erin). Each woman has just experienced a traumatic relationship breakup/ending. All of their situations are different. Judith is newly widowed Jazmine was widowed many years ago and is being pushed by her family to date again, Sara's husband leaves her and she finds out he's been lying to her for years, and Erin is jilted by her fiance a week before her wedding. The women know one another and get together at book club, but we also get to delve into their individual stories, which are fascinating. Wendy Wax is a great storyteller. We really care about the characters, and she keeps things moving at a good pace. I couldn't put this book down and look forward to recommending it to readers who enjoy contemporary women's fiction.

This was a quick, women's fiction read that I devoured I a few days and quite enjoyed. Here, four women have little in common but attending a weekly book club in a vintage Atlanta-based book shop, which brings them together as they bond over reading and the notion that their lives aren't turning out how they planned. There's former tennis star Jazmine who's a top sports agent who's balancing work and single motherhood, empty nester Judith questioning her marriage, Erin who's engaged to her high school sweetheart before proclaiming he has cold feet, and Sarah whose husband works out of state which leaves her at home with her difficult mother-in-law all alone. Through books, laughter, and friendship, these women learn how to navigate new chapters in their lives. From reading, I was equally drawn into each woman's perspective and voice, all have compelling and relatable sides I enjoyed learning more about. It's a compelling read, and I didn't want to put it down as there are some juicy bombshells that I needed answers to, which heightened the raw and emotional drama. It ready quite quickly, and I liked it with all its engaging yet relatable language. I loved seeing how this book club brought them together in this novel about friendship. Then, the ending: While, I liked it to a degree and felt it did wrap things up in an empowering way, I just wanted more and to see where these characters' journeys continued.

I really enjoyed reading about the four main characters: Jazmine, Judith, Erin and Sara, along with the supporting female characters. They all are in different stages of their lives, yet the have common heartaches and tragedies. They bond over books and food and support each other as their lives takes unexpected turns. They struggle to find happiness in their new realities and seek a happy ever after. A charming group of women that I would love to call my friends.

Oh man does this book have all the bad case break up scenarios. We have one dead husband, one husband living two different lives, a son stealing everything out from his mother, and a long time love backing out the week of the wedding. The one thing all the ladies attached to these men have in common is bookclub. Lucky for them, its a pretty amazing bookclub that will help them navigate their new lives.

Man this book really made me miss my in real life book club! We just finally gave in and started zoom discussions recently, but I miss the joy of gathering with wine and snacks and discussing the book and everything else in our lives! This book definitely hit me in the bookclub feels! I really loved all the women in this book. Each one was so different and had their own issues to deal with, but I just loved the cast of characters that made up the bookclub. I also really enjoyed that while the bookclub was what tied them all together, it wasn’t just a book of them discussing books, the actual club played a much smaller part in the book than I was expecting. Overall this is a really wonderful feel good read!

Loved this book. All the characters were well written but my favorite was Dorothy. This is the type of book that makes u feel as if you are part of the story - going to the book store, participating in the book club. The only drawback, in my opinion, was the story ended too soon. I would love to hear some more of the members of the book club. Maybe a sequel in the future?

A story of women finding their way after the life they had changes due to the men they love. The multi-generational women find friendship and support at book club as they share good reads, good food, and good wine. This is a book club I want to join!
