In a world where everything has me fretting about a multitude of things, this book is just what I needed to remember to stop and reconnect with myself.

There are so many good techniques and exercises in this book to help you take a step back and calm yourself.

This is absolutely a book I will return to again and again as I try to navigate everyday life in the “new normal”.

Very much a primer about mindfulness - based on the number of pages, you'd know this initially going into this read. However, it managed to pack a lot of tips and pointers throughout, in concise and easy to understand language. You don't need to be a long-time practitioner of mindfulness or need a guru or guide to help you 'get' the concepts, and this was refreshing and made this a winner for me. Also really liked the format - assigning a word/concept to every letter of the alphabet and thus giving the wide scope mindfulness can take and that's not a 'one way fits all' approach - you can find 'your' way, and that's perfectly fine.
A very good one detailing the concept and easily accessible to each and all

I am starting the New Year with this book. The book has suggestions and exercises about how to be more mindful in day-to-day life.⠀

Each chapter starts with a letter⠀
A for Acceptance ⠀
B for Breathe⠀
C for Coloring etc.⠀

I liked the quick-to-read suggestions and the soothing art. The activities were relevant to each topic of the chapter and it encourages to delve deeper and learn about yourself. This is a book that can be read multiple times to remind us to be grounded, more mindful, and enjoy life. I purchased two copies of this book, one for myself and one for a friend.

I would like to thank NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this ebook.

The A to Z of Mindfulness by Anna Barnes is a good guide for beginners who wants to practice mindfulness. It is also filled with good interactive activities. The illustrations are beautiful.

This is a very easy read. Reading an A to Z book made me uncomfortable initially. However, it was a light read and kept me engrossed and interested. Mindfulness as a concept, holds immense value for today's generation, and Barnes has created an easy to use guide for it.
I found the book motivating and inspiring as well. I could finish it in a single sitting. Even though the book has some standard recommendations, they make you consider the impact of the techniques used. Definitely go for a paper copy as soon as this one is out.

The A to Z of Mindfulness by Anna Barnes is, as the title shows, a collection of words associated with mindfulness. The book has lovely illustrations, and would be fantastic for journaling; however, an ebook just doesn't do the book justice.

As an avid ebook reader, many mindfulness books can be useful regardless of the format of the book. Here, the book's impact is better in paper format. The simplicity of the book makes it appealing.

An absolutely gorgeous book full of wonderful nuggets to help you live a more mindful life. I loved the layout, the pictures, the colors, quotes, exercises, affirmations and well the whole book! The author provides great reminders for everyone to listen, breathe, focus on the moment, spend time in nature, say no, set boundaries and take care of yourself. I highly recommend this book to everyone! Thank you to NetGalley and
Andrews McMeel Publishing.

This book would be great for people who are interested in becoming more mindful in their daily lives.

Each letter of the alphabet is given a corresponding word that has something to do with mindfulness. The author describes that feature of mindfulness, suggests one or more activities, and includes one or more quotes illustrated with watercolor before moving on to the next letter. The activity book format keeps the reader engaged and encourages mindful contemplation.

The introduction and conclusion answer the question of why mindfulness is a worthy practice, gearing this book toward beginners, but there are so many suggestions for activities and thought experiments that almost anyone could find something in here that would be beneficial to their mindfulness practice.

I didn't give this book five stars because I felt like some of the activities didn't correspond well to the mindful word they were included under, but al of the activities and all twenty-six topics seem well-considered and beneficial to the practice of mindfulness.

I'm so glad I read The A to Z of Mindfulness: Simple Ways to Be More Present Every Day by Anna Barnes today. This is a quick read that provides an overview and benefits mindfulness from A to Z in a very approachable way. I often hear that people are overwhelmed by the concept of mindfulness and this book really breaks it down in a way that would appeal to a beginner. I thought the author did a wonderful job of providing examples of how mindfulness can be incorporated into daily life.

I appreciated the quotes, mantras, and activities throughout. This book would be best in a physical copy since the reader is encouraged to write responses and there are also coloring pages. I am in love with the beautiful watercolor illustrations and they make this book truly special! This would make a lovely gift to someone interested in starting to learn about mindfulness and one I would love to pick up a physical copy. I can see myself returning to this book in times of stress and reminding myself of all of the ways I can be mindful.

This is a lovely, soothing little book. It combines guided ideas for self-introspection, prompted journaling, and centering quotes (think Louise Hay). I found the art and formatting cheery and welcoming. Ideas for mindfulness are presented in an A-Z format, which makes it easily digestible. Anna Barnes has created a gorgeous brain break here with 26 accessible ideas that feel like comforting hugs.

First let me say that this book is gorgeous. I highly recommend the print version. I read this as an ebook and I wish I had the print version to gift. A to Z Mindfulness is a good place for someone interested in journaling and meditation and just being more present. The alphabetical order will help some people be able to remember these concepts. While I enjoyed the book, I think it’s better suited to a beginner.

I loved this beautiful book! It would be a wonderful gift to yourself or someone you love who is interested in becoming more mindful. The wonderful illustrations throughout add to my love for the book, and the exercises on how to apply the various A-Z tenets of mindfulness are really helpful. Completing the exercises is fun because I loved the book's colorful designs, and would enjoy writing in a hard copy of it when it is published! There is even an option to color mandala designs to foster peacefulness in your life. Helpful, inspiring quotes are also sprinkled throughout the aspects of mindfulness introduced!

I was able to finish this in one sitting. Some great advice to calm your mind and reduce your stress. A few new pointers but most of these tips I have heard of before. Still recommended to destress and be more present in life, with family and friends, work and more.

One of the better self-help, mindfulness, de-stress yourself books I have read this year.

Thanks to Netgalley, Anna Barnes and Andrew McMeel Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Love this book of mindfulness. it’s filled with activities, quotes, life lessons and a topic for each letter of the alphabet.

It’s colourful and well put together and is a book I will read over and over during times of need and when needing to be present with my self and my mindfulness

This is a great one. No predictable at all as far as what each letter will represent, and author avoids the error that other A to Z authors make: it's not at all predictable or boring. Author has collected some inspiring insights, and created a work that's just what you need: simple, speedy, direct, delightfully so. I loved this one and even though I received an online free copy for review, I'll be sure to pick up a copy of my own...and then a few more for Christmas gifts this year.

This was a wonderful introduction to mindfulness. Easy to follow, never coming across as “holier than thou,” and so, so beautiful. Like, there are pages I’d like to frame. I like the journal aspect, also, and felt that the exercises helped solidify the concepts. I would definitely pick this up again!

Beautiful little workbook and nice bitesized introductions to different practices of mindfulness.I enjoyed the practical application for each letter and the exercises

The book is divided into A to Z alphabets signifying major concepts in mindfulness. I found this book really calming and engaging. Each topic ends in an actionable activity, which makes you practice the concept and understand the effect right away. I did all the exercises in the book, some of which I plan to pursue regularly.

The major highlights of the book are the beautiful illustrations and quotes. It's no doubt a beautiful book.

Highly recommended for a relaxing and calm read!
