Ferroni details how she has kept to a low sodium diet and how to make it doable. Along with a nice variety of meal ideas, she provides recipes for the condiments and basics that provide so much sodium into our diets. If you or someone you love needs to reduce their sodium intake, this is a great book--informative, detailed in providing the nutritional guidelines, and creative as well.

Look. I read cookbooks like novels, often at bedtime. I find them soothing and informative and there’s no tense plot to keep me awake past bedtime. It’s an all around pleasant bedtime ritual.

I really enjoyed this one and bookmarked several recipes to try ASAP. I’m not strictly on a low-sodium diet, but I do suffer from migraines that have a side effect of elevated blood pressure and a history of stroke and heart problems in my family, so I’ve been consciously cutting back on my salt intake overall. In fact, I don’t add anything while cooking anymore, and sometimes with the right spice blend, that’s totally okay, and other times, it’s super boring and bland. So, when I came across this title, I was delighted to flip through its pages to find delicious looking meals with very low sodium.

There’s plenty in these pages for the baker and bread maker to entrees and side dishes. Often, I’ve got my main squared away but need some more veggies in that side, and seasoning is everything with those. I can’t wait to try these recipes out and post them all over Instagram, because that’s what we do.

This one is out in February, so if you’re looking to cut down on the sodium without sacrificing flavor, keep an eye out for it.
