Trying dating websites has lead Poor Zoe to cringe at opening up their pictures because of what type of photo they might have sent! She has decided that she either is truly going to die a cat lady or she has to endure a lot of toads!

Her friend has told her about going an alternative way to try. Why not find out what there Zodiac sign is and see if they are compatible with your sign. Is she really going to do this and what if she passes over her Mr. Wonderful just because his sign is not compatible?

I found this book to be drawn out in places, but overall the storyline was great! I liked the characters and it was actually a fun and fresh take for a book.

Zoe is having a really hard time with online dating, but for the most part her life is going okay. She's got a great job as a chef, her apartment is right above her work, she's got a great work-out routine and a new friend to work out with, and maybe the best (pub) cat of all time. Now if only she could get that dating life thing under control. After getting off to a really rough start with a guy who turned out not to be a spy, but a very recently released felon, Zoe is pretty sure she's swearing off online dating forever. But, after telling her co-worker, Robbie, about her concerns he convinces (actually dares) her to start dating based on her horoscope. Zoe agrees and that's when the real horror (fun?) begins.

I thought this was one of the most fun books I've read this year. Zoe really does have some horrible dates but lucky for her she also has some awesome friends to commiserate with. I really loved the dungeons and dragons storyline, which was completely unexpected and great for the plot and character development. The only thing I really missed was getting to know more about Adam.

This is my first Sophie Ranald novel but it won’t be my last. A gorgeous, lighthearted, funny tale of the dating disasters of Zoe, a woman who is determined to find her man by following an astronomy apps advice. You root for her from the beginning, hoping she and her gorgeous cat Frazzle will indeed meet their perfect match. A really lovely read!

3 1/2 stars - What an absolutely enjoyable book! This was my first by Sophie Ranald and I cant wait to read more. While I haven't had to go on blind dates for a really long time, I can only imagine how much harder it is now tie online dating and not always knowing who you are going to meet. I laughed at many of Zoes failed dates. Overall a fun book and I couldn't wait to find out who Zoe would end up with. Would recommend!

Rewind six months... takes you back to before Zoe signed up for online dating, and matching horoscope signs to each potential date. Each chapter gives a brief on that particular zodiac sign wanted for that date and potential compatibility... each date memorable for all sorts of reasons.

From the very beginning it'll make you laugh/smile... at times some dates that people can relate to (but hopefully not too many 😉). Told from Zoe's view, other than dates mainly confiding in good friend and colleague Robbie and good friend Dani. Sometimes in part on the date, then talking over with Dani at regular gym sessions.

A great lighthearted read, with humour and the hope of finding love ❣️ Definite should read.

I was given a free review copy in exchange for an honest review. This was a really great book. Zoe is such a lovable relatable character. I also loved Frazzle! The romance was awesome. I laughed out loud at some of the dating mishaps. I also cried with her and Dani when the bad parts of dating reared it’s ugly head. I would definitely recommend this book!

This book was a 5 🌟 read from the first couple of chapters. It made me smile instantly and the characters are so relatable which made you truly see the world through their eyes and root for them. I loved this not just because it was hilarious but because it also tackled serious and difficult topics in a fun and meaningful way! I cannot wait to read another book by Sophie Ranald!

A super feel good, girlie chick lit this one. Zoe doesn’t want to spend her life alone with her ginger cat so she attempts a few dates, absolutely hilarious I actually found myself laughing out loud in parts! This book was right up there, with up to date, real life experiences making it very easy to totally relate to Zoe. I couldn’t put it down.

Zoe has had a bad gig lately with men. She just really wants somebody to love. (insert song here) While working in a pub kitchen she and her sous chef come up with the idea for her to create an online dating profile and date men from a specific category.

We watch as she goes on many dates throughout this book. She often discusses these failures, sometimes successes, with her best friend Dani during their lunch weight lifting gym sessions.

Ultimately this is a success for her, but it takes quite a while to get there. A while indeed. This is my only criticism of the book, it was long. I would have loved for it to have been condensed a great deal. I loved the banter and the mannerisms throughout, and honestly have no opinion on what could be cut but I would have wished it were. It was just a tad too long for my taste in a rom-com/women's fiction novel.

I adored all the British humor and often found myself googling things to make sure I was reading it correctly.

Overall that was a fun read. Thank you Bookoutoure and Netgalley for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest opinion.

I loved this. Cute, funny, heart warming and lovely characters that I cheered for throughout. Just the quick and light hearted read I needed.

A fun book about two characters from her prior books.. Zoe, a cook in a pub called The Ginger Cat, is determined to to find a date through online dating through he signs of the Zodiac. Yet Adam, another character from prior books, a shy nerdy tech type, turns up and could there be a spark? Well, it's a romantic comedy. Also, FWIW, set in London.. Very light reading.

Thank You, Next is a lighthearted romantic story that includes some laughs. Sophie Ranald's main character, Zoe, is easy to like and the reader finds it easy to root for her success in the dating scene. Some sexual situations. I want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for an early copy to review.

The blurb was catching the plot not so much, this is marketed as a rom-com and even if the label doesn't fit could have been a chick-lit in which Zoe finds herself but that wasn't the case.
It's an easy read with funny moments, the romance bit might not be so clear.

Thank You, Next by Sophie Ranald is a quick read that will certainly resonate with anyone who has ever turned to a dating app in the search for love.

Zoe has all but given up in finding her soulmate, and has more or less resigned herself to living out her days with only her cat for company. But when her friend Robbie suggests a dating app that relies heavily on star signs to align the perfect match, Zoe figures that she has nothing to lose, and commits herself to a process that will shake her confidence in ever finding the perfect partner among a sea of punters.

This is a lighthearted read, and while I never felt totally invested emotionally, I was curious enough to tag along for the ride. 3.5 stars

A fun, laugh out loud story with added romance!
Zoe, still in love with her previous, brief romance from years ago, decides to base her dating choices on the zodiac. Next follows some interesting dates, with lots of laughs and moments to cringe!
It’s a light hearted read, something everyone needs.
You really get to know the main character and the people that she has around her. The author portrays things so well that you can visualise everything. Throughout the book you will get a hint of who the main love interest may be but what I liked was that it wasn’t just another predictable romance. Lots of twists and turns and humour along the way.
Be prepared to fall in love with the cat!!

I will definitely read other books from this author.

Thank you, Next started promisingly, I struggled a lot with the middle part of the story and then it took a fast turn and ended well.


I wish it was 8-10 chapters shorter and as much as the blurb sounded promising the story just didn't make a place in my heart.

Why not choose dates based on star signs? Zoe is a vegan chef whose main man is a cat named Frazzle. She's missing the relationship she had and looking for love in London. Things haven't gone so well on Tinder so when Robbie suggests choosing with a zodiac based app, she's willing to give it a try. All those dates! So many disasters! Don't worry, Ranald knows we all want a happy ending and there will be one here as well but with who? No spoilers from me. This is light and amusing with good characters and, oddly enough, a Dungeons and Dragons thing that went slightly over my head but which I'm sure others will appreciate. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. A fun read for fans of chick-lit.

Zoe is dating by horoscope, working her way through them starting with the least compatible. Will she find the man for her?

This was the first book I read by Sophie Ranald and I thought it was really cute. This was a perfect light comedy to read following October which was filled with mysteries and thrillers. Thank You Next features Zoe, a down on her luck young woman who decides to start dating based on mens zodiac signs. The main character and her friends were hilarious. The commentary and conversations between Zoe and her friend Dani really won the book for me. Hearing about Zoe’s dates through her commentary was fun and the characters were all well developed.

What I didn’t love about this book was that we didn’t meet the real love interest until so late in the book. This book felt more like a comedy about friendship and dating then a real romantic comedy. However, Sophie’s writing was great and I definitely laughed out loud a few times. I look forward to reading more from her in the future and would recommend for fans of Sophie Kinsella and Lindsey Kelk! 3.5 stars!
