Whenever I see a new Leslie North book, I have to have it!
This book did not disappoint. Somehow Leslie makes even the most unbelievable situations, believable and makes you root for the characters. This book was no different, I was shouting at my kindle when Serena gave the game away!

As a huge fan of Leslie North I am always thrilled to get a new book of hers in my hands. I think was by far one of my favorite books of hers. As always the writing is captivating and will draw you right in.

Poor Serena is being held for ransom that no one seems to be paying. On top of that she is worried that her daughter will be left an orphan. Just when she plans to make her own escape she gets rescued by Noah who happens to also be her daughter's father. The same man she had a one night stand with who doesn't know he's a father.

Of course, Noah isn't ready to be a father, yet he is so gentle with his daughter. Serena is ready for more but is Noah? His life is perfect the way it is and he thrives on the danger of his job.

This book was so perfect! It had everything I love in a book; danger, a surprise baby, and plenty of steam. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I'm addicted now!

Protecting His Kidnapped family by Leslie North is a hot and steamy romance! Serena and Noah met in a tattoo parlour and ended up having a very hot one nightstand. Serena ended up getting pregnant and was raising the baby alone, until one year later when Noah is called to rescue a business executive, in South America, who had been kidnapped.

I love the chemistry and romance side, but the suspense in this novel was exciting. The book is very well written and takes you along with them.

Whilst getting a new tattoo on her hip, Serena, spies Noah from across the room. Whilst every man there is checking out her ass, it is Noah that comes over to make a move - in an 'I'll show you my tattoo if you show me yours' kind of way. Leading to them spending the night together, just one night before he heads off to complete more Navy SEALs missions.

A year later the story continues as we find that Serena was kidnapped seven months ago in South America where she fled to get her head around finding out that she was pregnant with Noah's child. Seven long months have passed and nobody has come to save her. Living each day as though it might be her last she is spending her time getting to know her three-month-old daughter, Gracie. Until one day she hears a commotion and thinks that today is the day she dies, looking to escape via a window she is stopped by her rescuer - Noah!

Finding out that her best friend Bella has hired the Southern Soldiers of Fortune to find and bring Serena back to the US. However, whilst they might have gotten past the guards they still need to trek across the rainforest to get to safety. Easier said than due when you don't have proper shoes and carrying a baby. Discovering that he is a father, Noah takes the news well and sets about protecting his family and attempts to keep them out of harm's way.

But why would anyone want to kidnap Serena? Why have they kept her prisoner for so long? Is there any way that Noah and Serena can make things work?

Noah a Navy Seal meets Sarah one night as she is getting a tattoo. After they spend the rest of the night together, they each leave in the morning neither getting the other one’s last name or phone number. Now it has been over a year and Sarah is being held, in South America after being kidnapped a few months before her daughter was born. Now Gracie is three months old and Sarah does not know how much longer she will be alive?
It is when she is having these thoughts when she hears the commotion and shouts from downstairs and suddenly in stands Noah the man, she thought she never would see again and also the father of her child. Seeing Sarah and the child has brought mixed emotions to Noah and he does not know how to process everything. First, he must complete the rescue then worry about the baby and then Sarah.
Never expecting to be a father has thrown him for a loop and for the most part he is fighting with himself for Gracie and Sarah thinks he is doing a fine job. He just needs to erase all of the old tapes that are playing in his head. See how this story plays out and who is the person that orders the kidnapping of Sarah. A very good story. Second in this series. A quick easy read. As the unfortunate title states, there is a kidnapping involved, along with angst, drama, a bit of a “who done it”, steam and romance. An easy, grab a glass of wine, put your feet up read.

I'm a big fan of stories that suck you in right from the beginning, and Protecting His Kidnapped Family by Leslie North did just that. I'm also q sucker for a great love story, which one could tell from the water that this story is a great love story. I know, about a quarter way through the book, who the protagonist was, but I still enjoyed watching the story progress. This book is a short read, at least for me, but it is worth it. I loved every minute teasing this book, and I recommend it to all the romance lovers.

Protecting His Kidnapped Family (Southern Soldiers of Fortune Book 2)

By: Leslie North

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

When others won’t he will!

Definitely a book that will captivate and pull you in from the very beginning. These Southern soldiers are something about heart stomping.
The writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shocking moments. I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Authors Blurb: Less than a year ago, Serena Carson was a happy socialite, heiress to a candy fortune, and had just had one of the hottest nights ever with Navy SEAL Noah Wild. Now, she’s being held for ransom—which no one is paying—in a remote country in South America. And the one night stand with the hunky SEAL? That steamy night of heaven left her with a beautiful baby girl. Believing her captors are about to make good on the promise to kill her, leaving her child an orphan, Serena plans her escape, only to be rescued by…Noah. Bossy, tough-guy, sexy Noah. Who also is heartbreakingly gentle with his daughter. As the trio make their escape, the attraction that first brought Serena and Noah together flares to life, making Serena wonder if that one night could ever become something more…

Noah is not ready to be a father and certainly not ready to settle down. That’s what he keeps telling himself anyway. Once the three of them are back safe in the U.S., he’s ready to return to solitary life as a hired protector, working for the Southern Soldiers of Fortune. There’s no place in his life for those warm, fuzzy, and completely unfamiliar feelings like love and togetherness. What is it about Serena that makes him crazy with emotions he doesn’t want to feel? All his adult life, Noah has thrived on danger, but nothing for him is as dangerous as what he feels for Serena and his daughter. He believes it would be best for Serena if he just let her leave. What kind of life would she have, married to someone who is more than a little rough around the edges? But what kind of life would he have if he let her go…?

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

I received an ARC from Netgalley in return for an honest review.
This was a pleasant enough read but it just didn’t excite me. The story never really came to life for me. Noah was nice guy who stayed away from emotional entanglements. He watches a woman getting a tattoo and they have a ONS. A year later she has had their baby and gets kidnapped. He rescues her etc etc.

There was no real life in this relationship: only sex. I never felt they were falling in love and Noah’s attitude towards Selena and Grace at the end made no sense. I felt like Gracie was the most interesting character in the book.
There were some really nice scenes in the book but I would have liked more heart and more emotion.

Boy Noah can be very pigheaded. Serena deals with it the same way that I would, a look and walk away. A lot can be said with just a look. She is good at following his directions in order to keep her and her infant daughter safe. The alone time that they spend as a family trying to out run the bad guys is just what they needed to form a bond. I really liked this time in the book.

I enjoyed this novel, never having read any of the authors previous works. I did not feel that this detracted from my enjoyment of this novel, and I will now seek out previous works.

Of its genre, it was an excellent example. Well drawn plot and character, and just enough sizzle to keep the reader entertained.
