I enjoyed reading this book. It is a good addition to the series.. There are no "draggy" parts. Very enjoyable

The first few pages were a major turnoff. I started reading but stopped because I didn’t want to read that locker room humor. The whole guys being guys thing is NOT for me. I ended up going and reading what the book what about and then went back to try again. The story was very interesting, different from the normal romance or chick lit storyline. Once it got good it was good. A bit dramatic concerning the new dads inability to care for the child by himself - single poor moms raise kids by themselves ALL the time. Dads are certainly capable too, especially when they’re rich. I didn’t get the need for a nanny all day and especially didn’t understand the need since it didn’t seem like he even worked. Other than that it was a good story, sweet and heartbreaking and a bit of eye rolling. I’m glad I found this book series, I especially love reading about my home state.

I always look forward to a visit to Eternity Springs, and this trip was another enjoyable one. Emily March has a formula - put two damaged people on a collision course in Eternity Springs and let the healing magic begin. All the while we get to catch up on some of the other residents that we've met in previous books. In this instance, our man Boone feels that he's pretty much healed, and he's ready to pay it forward and help someone else. When he runs into Hannah he feels like he might've found his chance. But as the story moves on we see that he still has some wounds that need healing, and that Hannah could be much more to him than just an opportunity to pay it forward - if she can overcome the tragedy of her own past. Both characters are likeable, and as their backgrounds are revealed slowly, we hope (as always) they'll be able to "get past their pasts" and find a future together.

When I first started to read the The McBrides of Texas Trilogy by Emily March I became intrigued with Boone. For me it felt right that his story would be the last book in this trilogy.

Boone’s refusal to talk about a past that tormented him makes him very allusive and intriguing. It drew out the puzzle solver in me. I wanted to know what made this hot man so reserved when it felt like he was a man that was supposed to be larger than life filled with love and laughter. Also, why would a man who had everything leave family, friends and his lucrative job to isolate in a small town.

The story opens on Chapter 1 and quickly draws the reader into what haunts Boone. Though we don’t get the full story in this part of the book it is heartbreaking as the author weaves a story filled with all his emotions sorrow, disappointment, feeling of failure, dread, fear and eventually anger. This chapter also explains why he ran away from a lucrative law job in Fort Worth, TX. As well as opening the dialog on his deceased wife Mary.

Celeste plays a pivotal character in this book directing both Boone and Hannah into each other’s orbit. As always, her sixth sense seems to know what people need and she keeps creating situations to make sure things happen that helps the right people find each other. She is much like a spiritual love matchmaker.

I can relate to Hannah with her losses and honestly, I would have contemplated what she wants to do for the same reasons. In her situation, feeling hopeless and at fault is easy while still living seems impossible with such devastating losses in her personal life. The evolution of her grief is handled superbly, and the reader will fell a sense of relief as the pages unfold and both Boone and Hannah start to fully heal.

This book is full of emotions of loss, sorrow, sadness, and regret. What it does excruciatingly well is touch on child abuse, multiple accidental deaths and finding redemption and love again. I cried several times while reading this book and the ending for me was really rewarding.

Author Emily March does an outstanding job of ending The McBrides of Texas Trilogy with deep emotions and love.

Bravo!

Native Texan Boone McBride is charming, good looking, and totally able to hide his heartbreak from his friends and family in this small Colorado town. When Hannah Dupree passes through, Boone is drawn to her damaged soul and grows determined to save her. When each of their pasts threatens what they start to build together, Hannah and Boone must fight to protect their future.

This book was not for me. I found it overwhelmingly cheesy and I really did not like Boone. The cowboy with a savior complex is not my jam.

Hannah's story is really tragic, but she seemed to get over her trauma pretty easily in the arms of Boone. It just didn't feel realistic.

Of note, this book is not an open door romance and has little to no language.

Thanks to netgalley, the author, and St. Martin's for the eARC in exchange for my review.

Boone by Emily March is the third in the Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas series. These stories have revolved around three cousins, Jackson, Tucker, and Boone. This story is of Hannah, who has had way more than her fair share of heartache, and Boone working together to help alleviate some of that and move on to a better future. Boone literally saves her life, but what he really wants is to have her heart and he is such a gentleman that it is difficult to not root for him throughout. One thing I found funny, that I did not notice in the first two books was the name dropping of brands. Boone's cars and motorcycles are always mentioned by 'Range Rover', 'Ducati', 'Maseratti', 'Mercedes', etc. It is not distracting, but it was amusing. I suppose it was that way to show how he really has a lot of money? I am sad if this is the end of these characters, I have enjoyed following their stories, but there was great wrap-up in this one, so at least nothing was left hanging.

All the makings of a sweet story, but Hannah's transformation from person who had a panic attack seeing a baby to doting babysitter planning a children's boutique was a little sudden for me. Other than that, it was a fun romance with interesting characters.

I've read other books in this series and I was excited to have a chance to read this last book in the series. We've already met Boone in past books with glimpses of his past now we meet him full on.
Boone meets Hannah at Lover's Leap while she is mourning the passing of her family and he saves her from a tragedy she is contemplating.
The book is sweet and tender, emotional. Romance brings to life a character who had just been going through the motions of living for the past three years.
Hope anew from the ashes again for two broken people.
You will definitely want to read the earlier books about the cousins Jackson and Tucker as well in this Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas series. Can be read as I stand alone but do yourself a favor and read them all!

This is the third book in the trilogy about the McBride cousins, focusing on Boone. Like all the Eternity Springs books, it is a heart warming story about pain, loss and healing, with wonderful endearing characters.

I do not remember if the tragedy that sent Boone to Eternity Springs was revealed in the previous books, but it is revealed here. He is jealous of all his friends who have received their Angel's Rest blazon from Celeste Blessing, when he comes across Hannah Dupree, who looks like she is about to jump off of Lover's Leap. She lost her husband and 2 daughters 3 years ago to the day in a horrific accident and since then has just been wandering from place to place, barely hanging on. He is a lawyer, a smooth talking, larger than life Texan, who talks her into coming into town and while in his attempt to help heal her and be her light, he falls for her. In Eternity Springs, time and good friends heal all and bring love into your life.

I read an ARC that I received fromNetGalley.com. It had a few typos, but I am sure they were corrected before the release. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

This is the third book about the McBride brothers and they are all great reads. unlike the first two books, this one is set in Colorado. Boone and Hannah have to fight their own demons and put the past aside to make their relationship work. This book does have a few tough scenes in it, but overall the story is enjoyable and heartfelt.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, as I haven't read any of the others and didn't know any of the characters. I was a bit taken aback at first with how sad and forlorn the book felt as Boone and Hannah shared parts of their stories and how sad Hannah was at first. I also wasn't prepared for the heaviness of the work that Boone had done before he moved and was not ready for Rachel's story.

However, I thought the progression of the story was very good and appreciated the realistic aspects that were used, like Hannah wanting to have sex to start to heal herself and Boone deciding he wanted to romance her first. I thought the characters grew together really well and really loved the supportive small town and family that they had around them.

I found Emily March when I found one of her Eternity Springs books. I fell in love with her and Eternity Springs and had to read every book in the series. Boone is an extension of Eternity Springs and is the last book in the McBrides of Texas series and there again, Emily does not disappoint. Boone is a wonderful compelling story of love and forgiveness! It is a story of second chances . It lets the reader know that if you just have faith and believe and never give up, you can have all your heart desires. And of course, just like With Eternity Springs, I will have to go and read the rest on this series! Thank you Emily for another wonderful series! The way the world is going today, we all need all the goodness we can get!

4.5*

Thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The main character's self-reflection on their pasts and hope for their futures were the glue of this story for me.

I did not read the previous novels associated with The McBrides of Texas. It wasn't necessary to do so, however, I found the other characters that made appearances in this book quite intriguing. I may just have to go back in time to learn their stories as well.

This was a well written story that takes place in modern times with a mature couple that find each other through chance.

Boone by Emily March (The McBrides of Texas) is set in Eternity Springs, Colorado. The story is one of heartbreak, loss, new beginnings and love. The reader finds themselves emerged in a tale of an adoption with a few twists and turns. As the story opens, Boone finds himself going to Enchanted Canyon, a property in Texas he inherited with three other cousins, to do some thinking about his situation. Returning home Boone finds himself getting involved with a woman named, Hannah, her situation is depressing to the point of suicide. As Boone helps Hannah, Hannah winds up helping Boone. Both their stories are definitely heartbreaking, but there is a rainbow at the end and the story progresses to a happily ever after ending. This is definitely a stand alone book and I encourage you to read it even if you haven't read anything else from Eternity Springs or the Enchanted Canyon. I received a copy of this book and am freely giving this review.

Emily March’s Boone is a powerful story which will tug at your heartstrings. Boone is a novel of second chances, forgiveness, romance and most of all hope.
Boone McBride is a larger- than- life character; think sweet -talking, charming southern lawyer. He’s got a huge heart and he will drop everything to help someone. Boone adores his family, values his friends and desperately wants earn his Angel’s Rest pendant. Celeste Blessing awards the pendant to those in the Eternity Springs community who have “accepted loves healing grace.”
I adored that Boone felt he was ready to be someone’s light and recognized that Hannah Dupree needed him. He saw grief and despair in her eyes and identified with her sense of loss. The author crafts a wonderful story for this couple—it’s deeply emotional and heartbreaking at times—the messages of light and hope are woven throughout the storyline. Hannah’s journey towards healing unfolds with each chapter as she and Boone build on their friendship. Hannah doesn’t always know what to make of Boone’s ideas and plans. Boone’s bigger than life personality translates into a lot of unexpected situations which add lots of fun and humor to the storyline.
Emily March is best known for creating memorable characters and rich dialogue. Loved the honest, emotional; and loving conversations between the couple. Enjoyed the scenes when sweet talking Boone convinced Hannah to go fishing, attend his cousins wedding and to stay at his guesthouse---he really was taking the “be the light” to heart. Loved that the author used colors to illustrate Hannah’s journey from loss to love.
There’s lots of old fashioned romance in Boone as well. Loved Boone’s Operation Light Saber campaign to win Hannah’s heart. I enjoyed Boone’s resolve to fight for his soul mate and loved the heat to heart talks with his cousins Jackson and Tucker.
I highly recommend this well-paced and engaging novel!
Emily March scored a hat trick with Boone—it’s a poignant, emotional and oh so romantic story—just perfect for this couple!

ARC for honest review with no compensation received from NetGalley

Boone is the 3rd book in the McBrides of Texas and book 18 in the Eternity Springs series by Emily March.

Eternity Springs it seems, is where broken people and broken hearts go to heal. Boone McBride has had time to heal from his past and is ready to move forward when he meets Hannah Dupree and now he needs to become the light for her to move forward after her tragedies.

Such an emotional read, tears, tragedies, finding your inner strength that leads to love and a happily ever after!

I loved this story! The back stories of both Hannah and Boone are so heartbreaking. Hannah’s rejoining of life is a slow, but beautiful process and the obvious attraction and connection between the two is palpable. I’ve enjoyed this book so much that I am going to search for the others in the series!

Emily March deftly blends hope, humor and sizzle in her irresistible new novel set in Eternity Springs featuring a handsome big-hearted Texan who is sure to steal your heart: Boone.

Native Texan Boone McBride looks like the kind of man who has it all. With the world at his feet, Boone has been blessed by the gods and gifted with good looks, deep pockets and bucketfuls of charm and charisma. But the laidback smile and easygoing attitude mask a heartbreak that had compelled him to leave his life behind and seek shelter in a small town in the Colorado Rockies called Eternity Springs. Over time, the magic of this unique community had helped to heal the wounds of the past and provided him with the succor and strength he so desperately needed. Falling in love is the last thing on his mind – until he crossed paths with Hannah Dupree. Boone can immediately sense that Hannah has her own demons to contend with and initially he just wants to help her out in her hour of need. However, the more time Boone spends in her company the more he begins to wonder whether Hannah might the woman to heal his broken heart forever…

The last couple of years had knocked the stuffing out of Hannah. Having endured one tragedy after another, Hannah feels lost, bereft and heartbroken. Overwhelmed by her own grief, sorrow and despair, each day is a struggle for Hannah – until she meets Boone McBride who seems to have made it his mission to help her out and put a smile on her face. Rather than fighting it, Hannah thinks that it’s far easier to go along with all of Boone’s plans than to put up any resistance. Fate has pushed the two of them together and as their friendship gives way to a love neither one of them was expecting, Hannah and Boone wonder whether they will have the courage to face up to the truth about their feelings for one another…or whether their past will continue to hold them back.

When old ghosts resurface and threaten to tear them apart once and for all, will Boone and Hannah’s fledgling love be strong enough to withstand all the adversity in its way? Or will they end up torn apart forever?

Emily March’s Boone is a terrific contemporary romance that draws you in from the very beginning and will have you smiling, laughing and crying until you reach the final satisfying conclusion. Boone and Hannah’s love story is emotional, dramatic, heart-wrenching and uplifting. These two characters are beautifully nuanced and so richly drawn, they will feel like old friends by the end of the novel.

A brilliantly written romance of love, loss and renewal, Emily March’s Boone is a superb contemporary tale you will not be able to put down.
