I received an ARC of this book through NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

Seriously! Are We THERE Yet?! is an inspirational picture books for adults. The rhyme scheme was nostalgic, reminding me of Dr. Seuss. I think a lot of adults will relate to this book and the feeling that they haven't made it to that successful adult stage where they have it all. I would love to buy this book to give all my friends when they are feeling down.

This is billed as a self help guide for adults to find their sense of childhood enthusiasm. Using rhyming prose and cute illustrations, Milana touches on a lot of relatable sentiments for people of every day feeling lost and left behind as everyone seems to be hitting those milestones and living way more exciting lives.

By the end, the main character has rediscovered their spark, vowing to try and explore new things and pursuing fun.

While I found it a cute read, I didn't take much away from it to use in my day to day life. This might make a nice gift for someone graduating or on the road to something new, similar to Oh, The Places You'll Go by Dr Seuss.

First, many thanks to Netgalley and Madness To Magic for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was beautifully made, it felt rushed but I like the gist of it, easy to read, and a bit relatable.
The art work was beautiful and the content was very useful.

Seriously, Are We There Yet?
Author: Paolina Milana & Joe Edwards
Illustrator: Whitney & Andrew Horton
Genre: Self-Help, Health, Mind, & Body, Comic & Graphic Novel
Pages: 42
Publication Date: 1/20/2021

Description: This short, illustrated book is like a Dr. Seuss book for adults. It explores that feeling of waiting for happiness, waiting for life to happen, and thinking everyone else has figured it out.

What I liked about this book:
*The lettering and artwork are gorgeous in this book. They are elegant in their simplicity. I especially loved the lettering.
*The rhyme pattern of the story made me feel like I was reading an adult Dr. Seuss book.
*This message really resonated with me and my place in my life. It is a very relatable feeling of feeling like everyone else has figured out how to have a great life and you’ve somehow been left behind.

What I did not like:
*This book felt a bit short and the ending was a bit abrupt. The main character had some great revelations and then it was over. The afterword mention that a workbook will be released to accompany this book. I’m really curious what this will look like and if it will give the depth that I felt was missing in the book.

This is a beautiful, uplifting book that would be good for anyone who needs some encouragement. I would recommend this book to anyone struggling with happiness and look forward to reading more in this series.

The art for this is cut and enjoyable. I thin this was meant as inspirational, but quite often i was sad, so sad I didn't want to gimish. Ah, what life is really like.

Thanks to netgalley for the ARC - this book has nice art work, nicely explains that we will continue to run behind things in life and seriously it's time to start wondering when we will reach "there"
It's one after the other in a person's life - all the way from childhood to adulthood and the running just doesn't stop!
Yes I would recommend this to others and remind that it's not necessary to keep running behind one after the other so called "achievements" in life.

Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for the digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is a picture book about being adult, growing up, expressing our fears, hopes, about how we feel lost and how we constantly compare our lives and personal and professional development to other people's (when we obviously shouldn't do it at all). It has also a self-help vibe, since it motivates the readers to having goals and saying we can achieve them.

The illustrations are beautiful and I loved the colors they used because they are not bright, as it shouldn't be. Instead they are kind of opaque, which suits really well the whole book vibe.

If you like picture books with a motivational vibe, this one is for you. It is a quick and very pleasant read.

The struggles of achieving something in life, little or small, and then thinking "is this it? was this the final goal? am I there yet?"...

This book was very Dr Seuss-like but for adults and about the many steps, ups and downs of life as an adult... and learning how to see it all in a more simplistic way, as we did when we were children, with less complication and less stress and anxiety.

Learning that the "there" we so strive to get to, may already be the here and now, if we simply learn to enjoy it and live in the moment.

It was funny and very relatable and an enjoyable quick read, with quirky illustrations.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for my opinion and honest review.

Seriously, Are We THERE Yet was an extremely super illustrated look at these high expectations that people these days seem to have on themselves their lives. It brushed on the detrimental effect that social media comparison can sometimes have on our mental health and expressed the need to be yourself. The illustrations were delightful and the poem made me laugh and is totally relatable! Great job! Thanks IBPA and NetGalley for the Arc in exchange for an honest review.

'Seriously! Are We There Yet?!' by Paolina Milana & Joe Edwards is an insightful little book about self-reflection; one that prompts us to understand that the experiences we encounter along the journey of our lives are not in vain.

We tend to spend too much time looking for the next big thing, thinking that until we become superstars or bestselling authors or renowned artists, that's the only time we have 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 in life and be truly fulfilled.

The truth is, life may not be turning out the way you planned it, but even the little that you're doing right now counts. Who, what and where you are right now is exactly who, what and where you should be, now.

A great graphic book for all adults alike!

This book is just what you need to put right beside your bed, where you sit down to eat and keep it at your bag when you need the whole world to understand you when you feel like everyone's expecting too much from you.

This book is a clear reminder of you will never be able to please everyone because that's just not the point of being you.

This book touched my heart with its urgent writing with a caring voice! The artwork is simply the dreamwork of the little girl inside me. It's so pretty and so today!

I wish you and you have this book and flip through the pages whenever you feel inadequate or unhappy...or just whenever you feel tired, sad or having a bad day, especially adults like me who everyone thinks we are handling everything fine and our social media feed are perfect and we are happy everyday when in fact we have so many bad moments, tired to the bone, and feeling quite insecure.

Thank you so much for this book. It means a lot to me. I am going to keep this one with me at all times.

Thank you, authors and the publisher for the advance reader copy.

I have already read the book more than I have read my favourite books. I just love it so much!

Inspirational, self-esteem self-help book presented with cartoon drawings

For those moments when we realize our life isn't where we thought/expected it to be or to encourage us on a new path. Rhyming style (almost like Dr. Seuss), short (compared to other self-help books), easy-to-read, and would make a great gift.

The end also has a little something about the authors which is nice to see how this book came about.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I read this book tonight and quite a lot of it I could relate too.

There have been plenty of moments where you can look back and think what if but this book shows that you just need to put them all behind you, what is in the past, is in the past and you can only move forward now.

It is 4 stars from me for this one, one that did make me stop and think too - highly recommended!

I received a free eCopy of this book from NetGalley. All opinions in this review are my own.

This was SO adorable! I loved every minute of it! The art style is simple and cute. The rhyming scheme was similar to Dr. Seuss and that just made my inner child's eyes shine. I remember devouring books with this kind of rhyming scheme at a young age. My only qualm about this book was that it was way too short! I was having so much fun reading it that I was disappointed when it ended. Some of the rhymes really hit deep and I appreciated that. I loved how full-circle the story went. I truly loved what the author did with this book! I'm interested in reading more books in this style by this author in the future!

I received a digital copy of this book via NetGalley. I loved the book. The book is seriously fun, if that can be a thing. The book is respectfully irreverent, if that is a thing. The book is simple, yet profound. This is the kind of book that i would love to gift to my wife, son and all my good friends.

The writing is simple and elegant. The art work complements the writing, nothing more and nothing less.

I must complement the authors for doing such a wonderful job.

The answer to the question - Are were there yet, lies within the question, "We are here yet!"..

4 stars to this book!

This is a story with beautiful illustrations. We all have a kid inside us ,often confused what choices to make and if we choose it we keep on thinking about consequences

This book was alright, even thought you read through it super fast, it wasn't as fun. It's just rhyming sentences and I wouldn't even call it poetry. You kind of get moved with the character when it comes to a midlife crisis and not knowing what to do with your life. Always wondering if they are there yet, but not knowing what "There" is.

I thought it was very intriguing in the beginning but got super dull quickly because it literally went nowhere and the build up to the conclusion was weak in my opinion.

The art and story telling was quite good on the other hand. I really liked it and I thought the use of typography together with the colours was very smart and thought through. The overall design so to say was good.

Would I recommend this? No, not really but don't let that influence your choice too much!

I was about to start crying as I was reading through this book- all the wouldas, couldas, shouldas and thinking about how my life isn't exactly where I thought it would be at this point in time. Thankfully then the story changed gears and became more of a being "perfectly imperfect" story, reminding us there is no "right path" and that we are just where we need to be. The drawings were cute and I enjoyed the simple colors. A good reminder for us all. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Paolina Milana has created a book that is inspiring and attractive to the eye. I loved Milana's use of full-page layouts, with enjoyable art, and a positive message. Seriously! Are We THERE Yet?! is (ironically, given the title) a graphic novel and visual text to sit and relax with.
