This is an educational book for children, which reads like a graphic novel.. At first I was not sure about the way it is written, but as I read through it I started to enjoy it more and then I started to like the layout and illustrations more. The message of the book is great, which is that we as humans should be recycling, renewing and reusing our things, so that we can help the planet. I liked the characters of the book, especially the Gods and Mother Earth. I think older children will like this book and it is a good book to have in a classroom.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A Conservation Tale is beautifully written and illustrated. It highlights to children of all ages what they can do to help save the planet.
I read it to my 4 year old son and he loved it. Even at his young age the story provoked questions from him on what he and us as a family can do to help the planet.
Thank you to NetGalley and Gelos Publications for my copy.
This book is great! I love the creative and simple way the message is conveyed. How small little actions make a huge difference to the environment we live in. The illustrations are beautiful, colourful and imaginative, as is the writing. A fabulous teaching aid that makes learning fun! A must for every primary school aged child!

This is an adorable little book, which is so integral and important for children to help with their own personal development at a very young age, whilst also telling a cute tale to go alongside.
A great little story, very relevant to today’s world. In simple language it explains to youngsters that the earth is in trouble and they can do little things to help it.
Using a Back to the Future method makes it interesting.
Wonderful illustrations all the way through. There are helpful hints along the way from Pongo the Orangatan. He acts as “host” of the story.
At the end is a section for suggestions to the child, specifically showing what they can do to help our earth. This section is more serious but still easy to understand.
This book is a perfect way to explain to children how we and they should show respect to our Earth.
While I am a huge proponent for teaching children about conservation, recycling and climate control, I was left feeling a bit uncertain about this book's delivery. I did not find the illustrations very pleasing, nor did I find many new ideas for kids to consider doing to help the planet. I know graphic novels are popular with children and pre-teens, so I hope that this book will be read in order to begin thinking in the right direction. If kids will read to the very end, there is a user's guide offering additional information.
