Tressa lives in the Cornish town of Port Lowdy. Working for the local newspaper she is tasked with running it for six months and needs to find a part-time reporter. When new colleague Dan enters her life, he turns it upside down. Where Dan sees a story, Tressa thinks he’s being nosy. Can this mismatched couple work together or will sparks fly?

A delightful lighthearted story which was an easy and enjoyable read.

I love this author's books so when I saw that she had a new book out I bumped reading it right to the top of my list and I have to say that I loved it!

I thought that it was a great storyline but it was a little slow in places as there was quite a lot of detail to the story. The characters were wonderfully developed, genuine and believable too.

Heartbreak and romance bring this book together and it was a lovely story to read. The author has done an excellent job yet again.

It is 4 stars from me for this one, I really enjoyed it - highly recommended!

I loved this book. It was a love story and about believing in your self. I loved the mermaid purse and the putting the mermaid in the pictues. It was great how Tressa mother came round in the end. You just do not what goes on in other peoples minds,. I enjoyed Dan's character and his dog Ritchie was a character and not loyal. A must read

Tressa loves her life in Port Lowdry, away from her family, to whom she feels like a disappointment. Selling her art online and working at the local paper keeps her busy. When Dan enters her life and upends it.

This was a lovely gentle afternoon read.

What a lovely book - I enjoyed it immensely. The story follows a young journalist as she navigates her strained relationship with her parents, village life in a sleepy seaside idyll and the blossoming friendship with a unexpected colleague. Twists and turns but overall love - in all forms.

Tressa lives in a small town on the coast where s he she works at a small newspaper which supports her real passion - painting and drawing the coastline and view she sees outside her windows. . The editor's wife is taken ill and Tressa has to run the w hole shebang until she can hire a reporter. Once help arrives, everything in her life is turned upside down. A really fun, uplifting read.

Loved this book and found myself unable to put it down. The characters were brilliant and found myself completely immersed in their lives. It wasn't until after I had finished the book I realised I had read another by this author earlier in the year and that too had been amazing. 5 stars from me.

I’ve read a previous book by this author so I was excited to be given an opportunity to read this book.
Tressa was a bit prickly and Dan was kinda wimpy.
It was still a good story with many happy characters.
I enjoyed the story
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the early copy

Tressa lives in Port Lowday and is a part time photographer for the local paper and an artist but she doesn't think she's good enough. Her mother has always compared her to her sister who died. Dan is an Irish journalist who was fired from his job and can't get another in Ireland so ends up in Port Lowday

With thanks to netgalley for an early copy in return for an honest review.
Having read the last book by this Author was delighted to get an early copy, was a nice seaside read with the delectable Dan felt as if something was missing from it but a nice read all the same.

I really enjoyed starting over at acorn cottage so was thrilled to receive finding love at mermaid terrace and couldn’t wait to start reading! Tressa has settled in the quiet little village of port lowdry in Cornwall and enjoys a quiet solitary life in her little cottage on mermaid terrace away from her disinterested parents in St Ives.
Tressas existence as she knows it changes dramatically with the arrival of Dan an Irish reporter who will be working with her on the local paper, suddenly Tressa has a social life and starts dealing with the demons of her past with Dans often unwelcome help!Tressa is not the only one who benefits from Dans friendship as others in the community are thrust into the limelight resulting in many benefits! The path of true love never runs smoothly and this is well illustrated in the ongoing on off relationship between Dan and Tressa which highlights family dynamics, relationships and trust and forgiveness.
A beautiful read that will transport you to the seaside and fill your heart with love!
Thank you netgalley for this early read.

Tressa lives a perfectly content life as a reporter/artist in the Cornish village of Port Lowdy. When the newspaper’s owner is called away for 6 months, it’s up to Tressa to run the paper. Dan Byrne has lost his job as a columnist after one of his articles hits a sour note. He and his Golden Retriever are starting over in Port Lowdry. The man known for his invective filled columns would seem to be the polar opposite of Tressa and while they strike sparks off each other, they know that of they are to make a success out of the paper, they’ll need to find a way to get along. This is a charming Cornish rom com, just what we all need right now

This was such a sweet, heart warming book, and just what we need at the moment; I couldn't put it down. I must admit I was a bit dubious about this book thinking it'd be a bit twee but it was so lovely and the character progression was perfect. I liked reading of the imperfections in the different characters, and also the stories of each character, rather than it just concentrating on the main 2. I would definitely recommend this book to others; there's no sex scenes and although there is swearing throughout, it's not done in an over the top manner so it doesn't detract from the sweetness of the story

This was a sweet quick read that I did enjoy, but at times it seemed to just gloss over things and never really go to deep. The story moved very quickly with the relationship between Theresa and Dan, but it never quite seemed real, felt a bit superficial. I could see what the author was trying to do but at times it just missed the mark

I received an advance copy of, Finding Love at Mermaid Terrace, by Kate Forster. I liked the characters of Tressa and Dan, I loved the location. This is a good book, about finding love, trust, and new challenges.
