Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me a free advanced copy of this book to read and review.
This book was absolutely fantastic. I've already added it to our library collection on preorder and will recommend it to students.
I could see how this book would be helpful for young girls trying to feel comfortable in their skin. The recipes look beautiful and Radinsky seems sincere in wanting to help others.
I really enjoyed this book! If I was younger I would've enjoyed it even more than I did now. It was a nice quick read but if I had read it when in the ages of middle school up until college, I know that I would've wanted a hard copy and that I would've referred to it all the time. The advice that Radinsky gives in short but insight chapters is directly related to experiences that young girls have on a daily basis. Teaching them mindfulness and ways to live their life in a calm and collected way, all while staying healthy, is a great book by any standards.
This book was received as an ARC from Sounds True in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.
I really enjoyed the approach Sadie Radinsky went with this book. I loved how she had a whole section on loving yourself and the importance of taking care of your mind and your body. I loved the recipes she featured in staying gluten free and Paleo and she explained why that was so important to eat whole and not processed because eating healthy is all part of loving yourself and feeling your best. Young girls can relate to Sadie and her experience is a true inspiration to all young girls around the world. I think our teen community will appreciate a book like this and learn a lot about self-worth and self-love.
We will consider adding this title to our YA collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
Very cute and quick read - well written with easy recipes to follow and try. Reminded me a lot of Kelley leveque. Author explains her issues with gluten tolerance and how she takes a lot of everyday loves we find in the world and how she makes them more “safe.” I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
