Adorable, full of emotion, passion, and personal connection...Kissing Lessons is a wonderful read!
Audrey Miller always wears a smile and appears to the outside world like the eternal optimist, but when you get to know her she's actually a realist living in the present and just getting through life day by day. After her mother died she took over as the head of household raising her younger siblings and she basically gave up on whatever dreams she may have had for herself. It isn't until Ronan Walsh comes to town that he pushes her to see beyond the small town and what potential she has beyond serving coffee and selling crystals.
Ronan has spent his entire life pursuing education and furthering his career. Raised by his grandmother when his parents flaked out, he hasn't put a lot of faith in romantic relationships, so ending up in a romance-themed town seems ironic at best. However, when he meets Audrey who not only intrigues him, but has similar views on life perhaps he might just take time to enjoy what Kissing Creek has to offer.
Kissing Lessons is filled with amazingly wild trivia, a super attractive man--ok he's attractive on many levels, but mostly because he is attracted to her brain first and then her body. It is a huge aphrodisiac that he uplifts her confidence and see the potential within her, which uplifts the power within herself, and appreciates everything she is and does by just being her. He loves that she enjoys learning and knows random facts instead of being intimidated by her brain when he is a professor. Again, that is super sexy.
Audrey is a bit of a martyr, you will come to find, but aside from her trivia filled mind, her greatest strength is in loving her family and friends. She may be a realist, but she is also on the side of an optimist. Only a person who takes care of all of her siblings, deals with the public on a daily basis, is basically Cinderella with all of the chores, and doesn't do things begrudgingly, yeah Audrey is allowed a little freak out when Ronan pushes her boundaries when he comes into town.
A seriously good read and one to make sure you squeeze in before the end of 2020!
This starts with an untenable situation for most people and spirals into romance and a truly lovely HEA. All the feels are here, plus a few life lessons. Add this to your TBR list, along with a warm drink, this makes a sweet read.
Interesting, enjoyable read
This story was filled with as much tension as romance. It made for an interesting, thought provoking read. Audrey and Ronan come from very different worlds, yet both suffered through childhood loss and pain. Both had siblings to care for, but Ro had a tough and loving Grandmaโs support while Audrey assumed the entire responsibility for her family. Their lives collide in the small college town of Kissing Creek. Lots of Interesting dialogue on positive vs negative influences and the effect they have on goals and how we see ourselves and our future.
This is my honest review of this advance reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way
This is such a great story about family. I also loved the explosion of trivia facts. Audrey shows what it means to persevere in the face of hardship and still have a positive outlook on life. Ronan has had his share of setbacks but has also kept going. There is great use of humor to lighten the mood in places. Lily the llama appears as comic relief, watch out for her. Ronan and Audrey spend a lot of time in meaningful conversations getting to know each other, which adds a lot of value to the story and is what helps make it so deep and meaningful.
Kissing Lessons is a cute, small town story about an older sibling who stepped up to take care of her 4 other siblings when their mother died and their father lost his way. It has a serious side to it due to her responsibilities with her family, but the romance with the hero was just so cute. I loved getting to see these two meet and get to know each other. They are both adorably brainy. I have to say I learned a lot of really cool fun facts from this book.
In Kissing Lessons by Stefanie London we have a forbidden small town romance between a student and her professor. 26 year old Audrey is a single parent to her 3 siblings since her mothers death and her father having checked out emotionally and mentally to care for the family. She juggles two jobs while raising her siblings and has no time for a personal life, which includes romance. Which is ironic when she lives in a town called Kissing Creek where everything is romance themed. Her only time of having some me time is during her one college night class which just so happens to have a new professor now.
Professor Ronan is 34 years old. He's moved to Kissing Creek to be closer to his sick grandmother who raised him and sister. He got a temporary teaching job at the local college and doesn't plan on sticking around for the long haul. Relationships aren't his thing, neither is commitment. All that changes once he meets Audrey, though.
Between the forbidden aspect of being teacher and student, complicated family issues, and uncertain futures...will Ronan and Audrey find their own happily ever after? Only way to find out is to read this!
This was a sweet and cute small town romance. The writing wasn't bad or anything, but I just found myself trudging through this. Took me about a week or so to get through it, which is never a good sign for me. If I'm really into a book I can be done within two or three days. I think sometimes the inner monologues of the characters ran too long and took me out of the story. My mind would start to wander to the point where I just started skimming the passages until I got to the dialogue.
I liked the concept of the small town Kissing Creek being romance themed. This being a rom-com and all the quirky feeling of the town and it's inhabitants was present. The romance was enjoyable as well. Ronan and Audrey were likable, as were the side characters like Audrey's friend/aunt/siblings and Ronan's grandmother. I liked that Audrey was a curvy heroine and it was awesome to see it depicted on the cover as well. I appreciated that her story didn't center around her having body issues. I feel as though that's a common theme in books that have curvy heroines. Her issue was more about her family life and her future.
However most of this story just felt like stuff I had read before in other romances. It didn't really stand out to me. This book will be forgetful for me. I've finished it, will move on, and probably not think about it again. Overall, the book was just okay.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*
KISSING LESSONS will release November 9th 2020.
Sweet, sassy, funny & heartwarming with a touch of angst thrown in for good measure! It starts out funny & lighthearted but then delves deeper. Have a tissue or two handy but not a whole box...Lighthearted enough to make you feel good with some deep situations to make it realistic. Be sure to check this one out!
A cute quirky story, that shows how people can view themselves differently than others do. And it sometimes you need an outside View to see yourself clearly.

This book is set in the small town of Kissing Creek, where love is in the air all year round.
Aubrey's life is not easy, she is the one raising her siblings after her mother's death. Her father, even though he is still around he is never actual present.ย
Audrey likes learning new things, she has always a fact at her disposal about everything.Whileย she is struggling with two jobs, the one thing she allows herself to have is a night class at the nearby college every semester.ย
Ronan has just moved in town to be closer to his grandmother. The small town is a big change in scenery from what he is used. He has aggreed to stay one year teaching at the college while working on his book.ย
Their first meeting at the coffee place she works isn't a meet cute. Especially since she accused him of pretending to be a professor to get a discount.
What neither of them expect is to see each other again in his class.ย
They can both feel the attraction between them, but acting on them is out of the question.ย A relationship between them is not possible, he is her professor and she doesn't have time for a relationship. Her life is on pause while prioritizing her siblings.ย Ronan is very intrigued by her, but he is only in town for a short term.ย
I really enjoyed this book. Their small town was just adorable, the perfect place to escape to while reading. They are both complicate characters, they meet each other while neither is looking for a relationship but their chemistry is undeniable.
*I received an ARC from the publisher through Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.
A sweet story.
Kissing Lessons is a beautiful story of passion and survival. Characters have depth and multiple traits. I especially love Ronan who is patient and wants the best for her. It is a rarity to see men like this who want the woman they are with to excel. To say that the characters are relatable is saying the least.
The story was a little drawn out at the end and it made it a little predictable but I love how family is an important them in this book. For Audrey, one can see how she weighs the feelings of her family in every decision she makes and her man loves her for it.
Self-love is another important theme here and it was interesting to see Ronan push Audrey to appreciate and love herself.
A lovely book.
What a fun read! Kissing Lessons by the wonderful romance author Stefanie London, has a great mix of humor, heartbreak, and heat. A college professor, Ronan Walsh (AKA Sex Robot) and small town lifer, Audrey Miller, have a sweet meet cute, chemistry, and a strong disbelief in happily-ever-afters.
This was a story with enjoyable characters (both of the main characters and supporting ones!) and a cute storyline with some self struggles. Kind of an opposites-attract, small-town, professor-student read. The unique facts throughout this book were seriously and deeply intriguing! There is a lot of interesting family situations in this. Good quicker read.
My favorite thing is all of the useless facts. My son will ask Alexa to tell him a useless fact then laughs. I really enjoyed reading, Kissing Lessons.
I always enjoy books that have a focus on families, and I enjoyed the Audrey's dedication and love for her family. I was also so happy her grow and find a way to live her dreams while not leaving her family behind. The love story was sweet and heartwarming.
Kissing Lessons by Stefanie London is a small-town romance. It's the first book of the Kissing Creek series.
Audrey Miller was a twentysix-year-old woman who was born and raised in Kissing Creek. Since her mother's death, she had taken responsibility
for her younger siblings. She worked hard to make sure that they would leave the small town. Ronan Walsh was the new professor at the
Harrison Beech College. He had come back to be closer to his ailing grandma and his sister. Audrey and Ronan had a rather amusing first
meeting that created sparks between them. None of them was looking for love because of their shitty childhood but in this romance-themed
place you can't avoid it.
It has such an interesting, emotional yet entertaining plot. It started light with a humorous scene and then battled between the sweet
romance and the more deep emotions. There are moments that it was very funny, like the morning facts (which were my favorite parts) and
the witty comments (like his grandma's). The characters were amazing and had diversity. It was easy to connect with them because they
were so down to earth. At some points this story made me think about my life choices just like they did.
In conclusion, Kissing Lessons isn't exactly a light read but it's not too deep either, more in the middle I would say. It will make you laugh
and fall in love but also have some serious thinking. I truly enjoyed it and I will rate it with 4.5 stars.
Well hello, a curvy heroine? Yes please!
I love when an author gives us real characters.
I throughly enjoyed this novel by Stephanie London. I have read a few of her books and this may be my new favorite.
Audrey is such a wonderdul main character. I really enjoyed seeing the growth and development that was exhibited. She struggles to find balance between personal and family life.
Insert Ronan. Their chemistry is amazing and watching each of them.navigate their relationship, and their personal affairs, was such a joy.
Thank you Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for an advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
Kissing Lessons by Stephanie London an enjoyable five-star read. I struggled to rate this one as I enjoyed it, but it didnโt wow me all the way through, but it was so good in places I couldnโt give it less. Audrey really does have the world on her shoulders and would fight anyone to keep all of her people safe, that level of dedication for her siblings, left me in awe, I donโt know many women her age who would be so selfless, I know we all like to think we would, but I wonder how many actually would. Her passion for learning was so lovely to see, I am a fellow learn for the passion and not the qualification and its not a way people usually get, so I loved seeing that on the page. When you throw Ronan and his patches into the red and pink town, well you have something that shouldnโt fit, but surprisingly fits like a glove, the only problem is will Audrey allow him to her shoulder the load. This was a great setting and Kissing Creek just sounds sublime, for my valentine loving self.
Sweet, sexy, and fun - I loved this book! It opens with Audrey calling the new guy in town a sex robot.....in front of him, lol, - a great start to an entertaining novel.
Audrey is a woman from the wrong side of the tracks with way too much responsibility for her age. She was forced to be the adult in her family since she was a teen. Unfortunately, when that happens, hard choices need to be made, and Audrey's was to sacrifice her education and happiness for her siblings welfare. Ronan is a sexy professor with family issues of his own. They are complete opposites, yet can't seem to stay away from each other.
This book made me smile and fall in love with the characters. It does touch very lightly on domestic violence, but only to further demonstrate Audrey's character depth and life obstacles. While I liked Ronan, I really loved Audrey and found myself immersed in her life and wanting her to get a HEA ending.
If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.
I just found myself a new favorite author to add to my list!
I loved everything about this book. It was fun, witty, real, and sweet.
Be right back, I have to go read everything Stefanie London has ever written.
Audrey gave up everything to care for her younger siblings when her Mother died. Now Professor Ronan Walsh has come to town for a job at the university. Audrey will do anything to keep her family together and see to it they have a future, at her expense. Ronan is a temptation that Audrey canโt afford. Can she find a way to have a future for herself and still take care of her family. This is a story about family and the love they have for each other. It also has a steamy romance. If you want a fast feel good read this is the book for you. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
