"Kissing lessons" is a small-town romance type of book where we get to know Audrey, who works in a coffee shop and for the last couple of years has been in charge of her sibling, we also have Ronan a new teacher in town university.
I really like how the relationship btw Audrey and Ronan developed through the book and how by knowing each other they learn to overcome some of their own problems. As for Audrey's family dynamic I had some problems bc it kind of seem selfish to rely everything into her.
Overall is a sweet and steamy romance and also really quick to read!
Kissing Lessons is the first book in the new and fun series The Kissing Creek. It certainly started the series off with a bang! The book was full of emotions and the characters were realistic and so easy to connect with. I loved the witty humor and the main characters' trivia questions, which was unique to them and their relationship. It caught my attention at the beginning and held it until the last sentence!
Audrey Miller had taken up the responsibility of her mother when she had passed away. At the age of 15, she had to make some hard choices. She dropped out of high school in order to work and provide for her four younger siblings because her father had fallen into such despair. She didn’t want her siblings to be stuck in Kissing Creek like she was. She took one day at a time and wouldn’t allow herself to dream of a future. Ronan had moved back to the states so he could be closer to his grandmother. He took a position at the college in Kissing Creek with a one-year contract. He wasn’t looking for a relationship because he didn’t know where he would be in a year, but Audrey intrigued him.
The book was fast-paced but still flowed smoothly and didn’t feel rushed. I really enjoyed reading it and look forward to the next book in the series.
This book was so enjoyable to read! I laughed out loud at many of the parts and I loved the addition of the random facts. I thought the relationship unfolded at a natural pace throughout the course of the book. I was left wondering at the end what happens next, I hope there to be a sequel!
Such a cute chick lit book. Nothing deep but a fun relaxing read that will leave you with a smile. Definitely a weekend kinda read.
Cute and sweet story that follows Audrey, who has been giving a tough hand in life. Taking care of her brothers and sisters, all while putting her life on hold. Then there is young professor, Ronan. He is also dealing with long term family issues and has been away for so long not to deal with them. Their issues make them who they are.
This was a light read with lots of romance and family. It was a fast read for me.
Kissing Lessons sucked me in from page one, something most books don't do. It was sweet, funny, poignant... surprising and refreshing in a way that had me excited for what was next.
Audrey and Ronan both struggle with tough family dynamics and a thirst for knowledge, though those both play out very differently for each of our two protagonists, giving us a lens into how things can differ based on other factors at play.
There were moments with both of the main characters where I felt a little annoyed, like they were being too stubborn or looking for reasons to go wrong, or like they were willfully choosing to be miserable, but it felt real, natural.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book for any fans of romance, responsibility, and trivia-eqsue facts.
I received an advance copy of, Kissing Lessons, by Stefanie London. This is acute book. There is fun facts on every chapter. Audrey and Ronan are great characters, I love the setting, Kissing Creek.
