Essential daily encouragement for those who feel frustrated in difficult relationships. Such great wisdom from an author who has been in the trenches. I regularly turn to her other book for guidance, and this book is another gem. It will be a great guide for people who feel stuck in difficult relationships. They will find practical and biblical help from Karla in many different areas.

I received a preview copy from the author.

This is highly-recommended for anyone dealing with difficult relationships. Reading the daily passages and prayers is comforting and helpful. Karla Downing deals with all of the topics which you need to 'keep your power', such as keeping your boundaries, being more assertive, not arguing back and countless other problems. She writes about each of these in a Christian and interesting way, making this a good book to turn to if you need particular assistance on one of these subjects.

I received this free ebook from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This is a book of bite-sized devotionals for Christians in challenging relationships filled with insightful advice, scripture, and wisdom for guidance and direction. I love that I can either read the daily devotionals chronologically or based on a particular topic and these include a short section with scripturally sound advice, as well as a prayer for each day and a Bible verse.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Change My Relationship is a book of short daily devotionals for people who want to improve their relationships and are willing to focus on themselves and their role in the relationships. I've read through the devotions of a few months and I appreciate the practical advice but don't always agree with the author's application of Scripture. That said, Scripture application is not always as cut and dry or as clear as we wish it were. I've come to the conclusion that we have to let the Holy Spirit speak to us personally and this book may very well be a tool that the Holy Spirit can use to help a person in his or her pursuit of better relationships.

Resourceful tidbits of relationship wisdom to help guide you through difficulties that even healthy relationships face. Written by a Christian licensed marriage and family therapist, the principles and information in this book reflect a biblical approach to understanding relationships and approaching issues that arise. This book is outlined in devotional format so it's great to work through together day-by-day as a couple.

Change my relationship by Karla Downing is a great book for anyone who struggles with any type of relationship troubles. As someone who has addiction problems in their family I found the daily readings very practical and helpful. I love that I can also look up a topic if I’m in need of a specific thing.

I'm a young Christian woman in a difficult, in fact abusive relationship, in which both parties are working towards a positive change. I used to pray regularly and fervently, but I lost this habit along the way and I'm trying to get right back on it. I'm telling you this because in her book Change My Relationship, Karla Downing made me feel like she was teaching and speaking directly to me, even as though she wrote this book for me.

While I haven't gone through the entire year of this self-help/devotional, I have begun to study it and honestly already feel like I'm making a huge step towards a true change in my life. Each day begins with a biblical quote and is followed by a short yet meaningful analysis and set of questions for how it might apply to your life. Finally, it ends with a short but pointed prayer.

I love how this book is organized in a progressive manner, so that as the days and moths go by, the topics change accordingly. However, I believe that it doesn't matter if you start in the middle or any day of the year, and simply work your way through the 365 days, as long as you complete the full cycle. I also love how the entry for each day is short, but gives you food for thought - and you basically take out as much as you put in.

I can't wait for January 1 to start, so I can really devote myself changing my relationship for the better permanently.
