Jerrie Alexander’s “Come Hot” continues from the first of the Club Silken series. Six months ago, Kayla abruptly leaves town for some kind of emergency, leaving Nick to wonder what had caused her to leave like that. However, she returns for her friend’s wedding to be a bridesmaid, only to find out that the groomsman assigned to be her partner is Nick. It is when Nick and Kayla’s wedding assignment that brings them closer, and the time they spend together - whether in the bedroom or at Club Silken - is time well-spent.

Through the story, we discover Kayla’s horrific past and our understanding of her is threefold: what drives her to let go and strive to be a different person; how she wants to be free of the past, as well as a person to have the freedom to be bold and vulnerable; and how she takes up Nick’s offer for leading her down a path of passion she has always longed for.

“Come Hot” is similar to its sequel in that there is your fair share of angst and raw sex. This was a bit more fast-paced and that’s probably because in the first one, there was a lot more “teaching” in the ways of Club Silken. It’s an erotic romance where it may start out as a sex-only relationship, but you are guaranteed a HEA.

Thanks to NetGalley for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

If you've read the first book in the series, you know what to expect. The erotic scenes are as hot and steamy as the ones in 'Come hard', but I believe the author did take more risks with Kayla's character in this one. If you remember, Kayla ran away, while Zach's friend and business partner Nick was showing her around 'Club Silken'. We find out that Kayla was a victim of physical abuse and had a lot of therapy to put her childhood experiences behind her. She needs someone who respects her limits and puts her needs first, and she finds this special someone in Nick.
Looking forward to the third book in the series.

An enjoyable read but not as good as the first book. Nick is even more dominant than Zach. Kayla was an interesting character but I felt like her past needed more delving into. Especially with her brother. That part was glossed over. And Nick's aversion to relationships is never explained either. There wasn't as much relationship building between these two but the chemistry is intense. There are plenty of sexy, steamy scenes. The ending has me very excited for the next book!

Come Hot by Jerrie Alexander is the second book in the Club Silken Series and it definitely came in hot! Kayla is back in town after disappearing on Nick, her first time going to Club Silken. From the beginning you see and can almost feel the chemistry and energy these two elicit from each other! So many sexy and hot scenes, that I didn’t want to put it down....I read the whole book in one day! I was rather caught off guard though that all of a sudden they both suddenly love each other and then the book ends basically. I definitely feel like there was so much more that could have been added but it just all of a sudden ends with a very quick happily ever after. Don’t get wrong, this book is still hot and I will definitely read the next one! Since I was able to read this as an ARC from the publisher, I will gladly let you know it is worth it!

✨Come Hot✨

Thank you to Netgalley, Jerrie Alexander and the publisher for the E-Arc.

Summary: book two in the Club Silken series follows Kayla and Nick who we met in book one. This book can be read as a standalone in my opinion. Kayla is back after her sudden departure six months ago. Nick wants to know why she ran out on him. When they’re thrown together at their friends wedding, sparks start flying but Kayla is guarded and not sure she can fit into Nicks lifestyle. Nick doesn’t believe in marriage or long term love. Can the two overcome their issues?

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review: having read book one, i was interested to see how book two would progress. I feel like there was less plot more smut in this book, which is fine. I feel like a little more time could’ve been spent on overcoming Kaylas trauma but maybe that’s just me.
Overall another short, steamy and erotically enticing read. I look forward to book three!

This book is definitely erotica! It wastes no time in developing characters or the story, if you are looking to read something hot and quick, this is the book for you.

The writing style of this book wasn't for me, I found the characters full of genre cliches. and the dialogue is very predictable so it does get a bit boring. I could not relate to any of the characters or how quick everything was happening but I guess that was the point of the book. Zach was just eh I found him to be a bit bland and Morgan was boring.

Come Hot by Jerrie Alexander is a great second book in a series. Nick and Kayla’s relationship is combustible. They work well together and respect boundaries. I really like how the characters from the first nook are still involved and active in the book. I am excited for the next book.

***** I received an ARC from NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my honest review. *****

On a scale of 1 to 50 Shades of Grey, I'd give this a 50. The second in the series about the BDSM sexcapades of a group of Chicago friends, this particular story follows Kayla, a hot 20-something just coming out of months of therapy following childhood traumas. Amazingly, she falls right in with a hot 30-something who just happens to be rich AND good-looking. Spicy hall/limo/club adventures ensue. At this point, you may be feeling like you know exactly what's going to happen in this story (hint: you do). And yet, the writing is still about a thousand times better than 50 Shades. Totally worth it if you're in the mood for a little suspended reality.

Book 2 just as good as Book 1 and can’t wait for Book 3.
Again a great Erotic Romance that has the pages turning with the interesting stories, characters and scenes.
Definitely becoming a favourite author of mine now.

I just wanna cackle. This book was better than the first one, but not by much. I knew what I was getting into when I went to the Erotica section on Netgalley, but I had hoped to get at least a little plot. It was really just one sex scene after another and they weren't even that well written 🤦🏻‍♀️ This book was quite the waste of time. 1,5 stars for this disaster.

This seductive, sensuous, sexually ravishing, provocative yet stimulating. novel is erotically captivating in its content. With each scene comes an tantalising and raunchy experience encompassing the very essence of BDSM. Consumers are guaranteed to enjoy a sexually arousing and receptive read that is sure to tantalise their senses. I highly recommend this enticing, inviting smouldering and captivating Erotic novel as it is sure to inspire and even liven up the bedroom if readers/consumers get creative after reading this novel.

Both angles.

Much better then the first. Not so much instant everything. The characters were developed more, but thing just got solved so quickly. Her reasons weren’t really explained in depth and to be so traumatic for her they should have had more page time. The sex as always was hot and kinky. Easy short read.

Received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

I just love this series and this author!
Kayla had to take a six month hiatus from her friends and life for personal reasons. Now she is back.
She is one of the bridesmaids in Morgan and Zack’s wedding. Zack’s best friend Nick is a sworn bachelor, but he is taken back by Kayla.
Kayla has a hard past, and things to work through, but Nick wants her as his sub. They have to work through things together. (Not to mention they sex scenes are STEAMY)!
I cannot wait for the third book!

Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for a free advance copy in exchange for a honest review.

Book 2, Come Hot, just think about that title for a moment....

Yup, it is hot and even better than the first book. I just loved Nick and Kayla.

He is a super hot Alpha, seriously into the BDSM lifestyle and doesn't think he'll ever find "the one" woman who will excite him and accept all his kinks.

Kayla met Nick one night through friends at Club Silken. Seeing a scene that disturbs her, she disappears from the club and from everyone in her life for six months.

Upon returning, she sees Nick again at a wedding rehearsal. He takes her to one of his nightclubs dancing and the sparks fly!!

Nick is worried about letting her into his "life," can she handle all he wants to give her? He ends up finding out why Kayla ran away and how badly she needs a strong man she can trust in her life. He vows to be that man.

Holy hell hotness, bondage, toys and dominance is what comes next! But in the sweetest, kindest way if that makes any sense. I don't always get how it happens and where my mind goes but I think you will love Nick and how he loves Kayla the further you get into this book.

Another short, quick read that the story was as good as all the action. It could have been longer for me.

I can't wait to read book 3!!!

After reading Club Silken part 1, I was intrigued by Kayla. So, of course I wanted to see why she ran away. This story has more insight into the characters than the first part, so I enjoyed this part more than the first. And yeah, the story gets your panties in a twist as well. So, enjoy the ride. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

This is the second installment of the Club Silken series this time focusing on the characters of Nick and Kayla who met during the first book. After fleeing Club Silken and Nick in book one, Kayla returns to Chicago after months of therapy. As a child, Kayla was beaten and after witnessing a caning scence at the club with Nick, Kayla is triggered.

Nick and Kayla have incredible chemistry as the two fall and love and work through her past together.

I enjoyed this but would have liked to see if Kayla got a job in the end or not. Otherwise it was a very steamy romance with minimal plot.

This is the second book in the series and you get to meet Kayla in the first book. She is one of Morgan’s friends. Towards the end of that book, she goes to club silken as a guest of Nick. He is taking her around the club when they come to a room that when she sees what is going on inside, she leaves. When looking for her he finds out that she has left the club altogether. Neither Morgan nor Chelsea has heard from her.
Six months have gone by when Kayla has shown back up with her friends. Nick is asked by Zach to stand with Slider. Asking why he is told Kayla is back. Wondering what happened to her you come to find out about her abusive childhood and the reason why she left that night. The therapy that she has been in for the last six months and her really not expecting to be excepted back by anyone.
Nick though finds himself drawn to her and wants to be with her. You are taken on a journey with these two characters and though this story has sex it is done in a way that only enhances the story and shows the way the two of them feel for each other. This is not rushed by the author but I found myself reading this book quickly and enjoying more than the first one. A very good book.

A steamy fast paced erotic bdsm adventure to lose sleep over again. I could not put it down. This is
Kayla and Nicks turn at the Club Silken apple of sex/relationship. This book uncovers a lot of how Kayla got so jumpy from the first book and how she will get to the other side with Nick and her girls. The discovery and rediscovery of getting your groove back was a welcomed story in my book. Book was not syrupy with cuddling and mushy stuff.
