I love holiday stories When I think of romance, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect books to snuggle up with on any day.

Not my cup of tea. I don't mind the going to bed before even knowing each other thing but I didn't liked it here. This was more a PNR book with romance rather than a romance with PNR elements. I feel like the author put too many things in this book and it felt crowed so some "scenes" felt too much.
My biggest complain here though was that... The only thing "Christmasey" about this book is that is set during the holidays. That's it!
Overall it was okay.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Well this is on me. First person present narration is not my jam. As silly as it sounds, I'd love to have knowledge of POV for romance before downloading.

This was just okay for me.
I didn't realise this had an element of magical realism which just isn't my thing.

And the biggest let down of this book for me is that this story takes place before Thanksgiving so not remotely close to the Christmas season which was the point of me picking this book up now.

Oh and the conflict was the straw that broke the camel's back for me and led to me DNF'ng this story.

A quick romance between CJ and Drew, with a quick into bed, then the getting to know each other afterwards. I prefer the other way, but that's just my taste. CJ can see into the future if she touches someone, so usually avoids handshakes. Drew is a chef, with a crazy ex. At times it's fine, but quick fights, anger, not much attraction besides sex, doesn't build a firm foundation. Wish there would have been more Christmas too, as the allusion from the title and cover hinted at that. Not really there though. Not a bad story, but could have been better. Also, didn't feel the need for all the swearing. Again, may just be me, but makes them seem more immature.

Wow, what great story! CJ and Drew had a ton of chemistry and such an adorable meet-cute that all this alone would have made their story a winner for me. But that little touch of paranormal magic and suspense really pushed it even more into the 5 star category for me. While I myself enjoy and read all kinds of romance sub-genres, this is the perfect story for someone who might be looking into delving into para reads. Call it para-light, if you will.
Wonderful characters, great dialogue and an interesting plot that had me guessing almost to the end...and that’s hard to do! Melanie Smith has found herself a new fan in this reader! I can’t wait to get my hands on more of her books!

I dont like Paranomal and just couldn't get into it which it seems that i am definitely in the minority.

It is exactly what is set out to be: a cliché romance with magical realism and a tiny bit of murder mystery. But I expected more. And, unfortunately... it’s not really Christmas-y.

I didn't like the characters. They were both very cliché characters, and I just wanted a little bit more of depth. I felt like it took a while for us to get to know them.

The author tried to put a lot in just 300 pages and it got packed. The romance was too fast-paced and the murder mystery took so little time to be resolved, and it was predictable. Plus, the mystery didn’t interest me at the end and I was just bored by it.

The one thing I will say I actually enjoyed was how mental health was brought up here. The author gave it a nice spin and took her time to be careful about the subject.

The writing just wasn’t for me. I really thought this one was going to work for me, it intrigued me so much. Maybe this just isn't my type of book, because this is a very unpopular opinion.

I really liked this story and its characters, I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down!

Despite the title, this story isn't what I'd generally class as a Christmas story. Much of the action is set before Christmas and although it ends around the festive period, there's much more going on here than a simple Christmas romance. But that's not to say that this isn't full of magic and feel-good vibes.
Drew and CJ work well as a couple, there's heaps of chemistry and sparks between them. There is a fairly major disagreement for them to work through as well. In the context of the story and the baggage that they both have from previous experiences, it works well. There is also an element of romantic suspense in this story. A threat hangs heavy over our couple and until they can get to the bottom of who is behind it and why there isn't much chance for them to be happy with one another.
I enjoyed this romance and read it fairly quickly. It had everything that I was looking for at the moment, a bit of mystery, great chemistry, a slightly supernatural element and of course that happily ever after. A great read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

4 1/2 Stars for this hot chef and the woman he can't resist!

I just loved CJ and Drew! CJ is a little quirky but just so cute. And Drew ... who wouldn't love a hot guy who cooks ... no really, WHO? The characters are well developed and the banter between them is just so realistic. This book has some of the hottest steamy scenes I have ever read ... WOW! I would have loved to see a story about Matt and Anna.

CJ and her twin brother are not your average twins. She can see a person's future and he can see their past when they touch them. Only their immediate family circle knows, therefore they have a hard time letting anyone else into their lives. But when CJ meets Drew, an up-and-coming chef, she feels this connection to him and wants to let him in, but is afraid to expose her secret. Drew has no time for a relationship, as his main focus is his career and besides who wants to be with someone who works 80 hours a week? But when he meets CJ, he begins to rethink his life plan.

This book was all over the place for me. I felt no connection with the characters, After around 30 percent in, I almost gave up. The psychic visions about Drew made me not want to finish reading the story.

I thought this was really cute! A little predictable but I liked the supernatural aspect of it. It was a quick read and well written. Thank you to netgalley for the ARC!

Absolutely nothing wrong with the writing of this story. I just simply cannot get into even though the blurb sounds awesome!
I did attempt to finish this one by skipping around, but I just couldn’t get through it and DNF.
