This latest book by Garrison Keillor is autobiographical and narrated by him. A native Minnesotan, I was a fan of Prairie Home Companion from the very start, and looked forward to listening to this audiobook. However, Keillor's voice has become more dour as he's aged and I found it depressing to listen to it. The story itself is very interesting, but I had to take it in small doses.
LOVE as always. I've been listening to Keillor for over 30 years and he never ever disappoints. My mom and I used to listen to him on our two day drive to New York each year. I always couldn't wait til we were in the car and I'd get to hear his voice. That Time of Year is great stories, lovely characters, and Keillor''s amazing, soft, and enjoyable voice.

If you have listened to his radio program, you will enjoy this story of his youth and growing up in the south seeing his friends give in to temptations and their consequences. Told with his normal ounce of humor thrown in. Garrison Keillor is the best choice to narrate his own life story.
