Justine has a rescue dog she loves. He does tricks and amazes the folks at her shop. Then she finds out someone is looking for him...

Berkley and Net Galley let me read this book for review (thank you). It is being published today.

She doesn't want to give Spencer up, but she would like to let the man who owned him before that he's OK. He'd named the dog Leo and he wants to see him. She agrees to a meeting. Spencer recognizes him and things are going fine until he says he wants Leo back. She refuses and leaves. After all, Spencer is acting in a movie and earning money that she needs to keep her shop.

To be in the movie she has to take him to the set. Griffin offers to let them stay at his apartment. He'll be traveling and there will be no conflict. The better they get to know each other, the mutual attraction keeps growing. But their life styles are too different. Best they let it be. But that doesn't last.

Then he gets a promotion and goes even further away. Justine sells her shop to her worker who big plans and goes back to movie making. Will they ever get to be with each other?

My favorite part was the dog...

Justine adores her rescue dog Spencer and he loves her too. Together they are juggling Spencer’s burgeoning dog acting career with keeping their pet emporium, Tricks & Biscuits, above water. When Justine’s friend spots a social media post by the handsome Griffin McCabe looking for his long lost dog, who looks suspiciously like Spencer, she embarks on a rollercoaster ride that could lead to a happy-ending or the loss of her beloved pet. Could Griffin be the one to help her overcome her past romantic failure or is he playing with her emotions to get his dog back at any price?

After some particularly heavy read’s this book was the perfect antidote. I loved Justine and I also loved Griffin…..almost as much as I loved Spencer. The custody battle, potential love story and dog- acting storylines were perfectly balanced with a wonderful supporting cast. I read this book in two sittings as it moved along nicely and kept me interested throughout. On the face of it, this sounds like a fluffy read (which there is nothing wrong with) but there were layers here that gave it the perfect depth. The only downside was that it made me realise how badly behaved my dogs are

This was such a fun feel good story and made a great escape for the darker books I have been reading lately. The characters were great and very likeable but Spencer, the dog, was by far the best part of the book! I loved all bond between the characters and the dog too. It was also nice to see characters that had real life issues instead of a simple miscommunication, of which there are way too many in most books. The setting was quaint and I really loved the witty banter between characters.

Justine is satisfied with her life. She has the companionship of her dog, Spencer, and she works a job she cares for. She accidentally finds a lost and found ad for a dog who resembles her dog. She starts to inquire only to discover that the dog does belong to a handsome gentleman.

Justine is not about to give up her dog but she agrees to meet the previous owner, Griffin. She just didn’t expect for him to be kind and lovable. Spencer lands an acting role in the city and Justine agrees for Griffin to spend some time with him. The two seem to spar over who is Spencer’s rightful owner but sparks slowly fly between them.

At first, Justine is so cold as she is scared that Griffin wants to take away her dog. I found it weird she would even contact him if she was so concerned about Spencer belonging to someone else but then we wouldn’t have a story. She warms up because Griffin is really a nice guy and it is kind of hard to keep up her defenses.

This story is cute and predictable. The author appears very knowledgeable about dogs and the training aspect which helps with Justine’s storyline. It just that I didn’t care to know all of the ins and out of the training and the dog acting.

Overall, I recommend this book for fans of animals and cute hallmark type romances.

This book was so charming — exactly what I wanted. Justine runs a pet shop in a small town outside of NYC, where she lives with and trains her rescue dog, Spencer. Justine and her dog get a fantastic chance to try out for a TV part (for the dog), just when she learns that Spencer belonged to someone else before her—someone who wants him back. Hijinks ensue, just as you would expect. It’s a bit contrived at times, but you know what? I totally expect “contrived” from my light fiction reads—in fact, I might even WANT “contrived.” Sue me.

This book was cute and sweet and emotional and utterly charming. More importantly, it was well written and flowed perfectly, unlike a lot of light fiction I have tried to read lately. So I give it 4 stars, and I refuse to be defensive about giving light fiction 4 stars when the book offered well drawn characters, a plot and sentences and paragraphs that flowed and made sense, and a story that made me say “AWWW” several times and swipe a tear or two. Thank you, Ms Schade, for a really fun read!

Lost, Found, and Forever by Victoria Schade is the perfect romance novel featuring an adorable Super Dog named Spencer. Now Spencer, he is a fun dog with so many tricks up his sleeve. Lost, Found, and Forever is about how he brings together his two favorite humans and becomes the star of a television show! These two humans (Justine and Griffin) both think they own Spencer and so they meet. Chemistry, sparks, and a deep love for an incredible dog bring them together.

I love Victoria Schade's writing -her characters are well developed on this journey to love, the conflict is great provides the perfect amount of tension, and this dog...well let's just say he is so well written that I want him too!!

Thank you to NetGalley, author Victoria Schade, and Berkley for this temporary digital adbance review copy. As always, my opinions are my own. A special shout out to Berit and an amazing group of women forming the best buddy reads group on Instagram!!

Lost Found and Forever by Victoria Schade is a cute fun standalone novel. We meet our heroine, Justine Becker, as she opens her Tricks & Biscuits dog supply store; with her dog, Spencer, whom she loves with all her heart. Justine is an excellent trainer, and works with people to train their dogs, but Spencer is so smart, he can do so many tricks. Despite this, she is financially struggling to keep the store open, despite the ideas her friend and helper suggests. While at a private local restaurant, she shows off to friends the many tricks Spencer can do, and at another table a producer sees her. Justine is approached to try out Spencer for a series they are doing, and Spencer could be the perfect dog for them. Excitedly, Justine accepts this chance to change her life, especially with her training abilities.

While waiting to start, her friend notices on social media a picture of a dog that looks like Spencer, who has been missing for over a year. Griffin McCabe, our hero, is ecstatic that his dog has been found, but quickly realizes that Justine will not give up ‘her’ dog, whom she loves. In the beginning, though Griffin tries to not antagonize Justine, they are both suspicious of each other; especially when Justine tries to keep her personal information secret, but Griffin manages to find her. As much as Justine loves Spencer, she can see how much Griffin does too. Who will get custody of Spencer?

When Justine has to begin working with the studio with Spencer, they are both exhausted from the car drive; and when Griffin offers his place (near the studio) for her and Spencer to stay overnight on the days they travel, she accepts. Justine finds Griffin very charming and sweet, and a friendship begins with the two of them. Griffin travels a lot on his job, and slowly he realizes how Justine is always there for Spencer; a slow burn romance, both Justine and Griffin find themselves attracted to each other, though they know there is no future, since Griffin does not do relationships.

I did enjoy the scenes at the studio, with Justine working with Spencer to do the scenes expected of him. It was fun to see what goes behind the scene of a shoot, as well as meeting the actors/crew of the studio. Griffin occasionally came to watch, and offered help to Justine. I did love both Justine and Griffin together, not to mention how great Spencer was. Did they have any future together?

Lost Found and Forever was a cute, fun, fast paced story of a dog that brought two people together. I really enjoyed this book, which was very well written by Victoria Schade. If you love a pure romance and a fantastic dog, I suggest you read this book.

This is my second novel by Victoria Schade and I have absolutely fallen in love with her novels! They are light hearted reading with romance and tons and tons of sweet dogs! The adorable doggies on the cover just get me every time and this one is no different. I jumped at this one because it sounded too cute and that dog on the cover was screaming ‘read me!’.

By Schade’s books are more than just adorable dogs on the cover, I have really loved the romances that are woven into the story. This one was especially tender and adorable. I fell in love with Griffin about as fast as Justine! He was so charming and thoughtful.

If you love romances in the vein of movies like Must Love Dog, this is an author that you absolutely need on your radar! I am 100% a dog person, but anyone who loves animals will enjoy how predominant they are featured in the story. The animals take on roles of their own and I loved learning about dog handling and training throughout the story. Fetch this one on your TBR immediately!

Summary
What do you do when you discover your four-legged best friend might belong to someone else? From the acclaimed author of Who Rescued Who comes the charming story of a custody battle between two pet parents who would do anything for the dog they both adore.

Justine Becker could not be more in love with her rescue dog, Spencer. He’s her best friend and colleague at her dog supply store, Tricks & Biscuits, in upstate New York. When she discovers a heartbreaking social media post trying to locate a dog that looks suspiciously like Spencer, Justine realizes that her beloved pup might actually belong to someone else.

Her worst fears are realized when she and Spencer meet up with Brooklyn-based Griffin McCabe, and he wants Spencer back. He claims he is the dog’s rightful owner, and has the paperwork to prove it. But Justine refuses to roll over and let him take Spencer without a fight.

It’s not easy juggling Spencer’s burgeoning new career as a dog actor, along with the demands of her life upstate, all while constantly trying to prove she’s a better pet parent than Griffin. Their not-so-friendly competition teeters on the edge of flat-out hate, so when romantic feelings for Griffin catch Justine off guard, she needs to determine if it’s all part of his plot to win the pup back, or if the guy who was good enough for Spencer might also be good enough for her. Review
I loved that this romance was written for the modern woman—-even if you don’t love dogs or animals (I am secretly judging you if you don’t love animals thought!) the romance between Griffin and Justine is nuanced and features real life issues that any new couple might encounter. Justine and Griffin have many common goals and values, but yet they are very different people with their own lives before they met each other. They had to work to address their issues and decide if they were better together or not. It wasn’t a romance that was angsty but rather real and there was never a question if they loved each other, simply that they needed to figure out how to make room in their lives for on another and I really appreciate that.

So many of the romances I have been reading lately have been fraught with angst, usually there is a character that’s trying to fight the attraction/love but in this one, it was clear that Griffin liked Justine and had feelings for her (and vice versa) but they needed to sort out what that might look like. I really appreciated that and it made me love Griffin all the more for the fact that he never questioned his feelings for Justine, simply the logistics.

My only issue was I would have liked to have seen was things from Griffin’s perspective. It wasn’t a huge deal but I would have loved to have seen what was going on in his mind when he was with Justine. Obviously this is more of a style preference, I still loved the book even if we only got Justine’s side of things.

Besides the wonderful romance, I really loved all the behind the scenes things for the tv series with Spencer! I never really stopped to think about all the behind the scenes things that go on with pets in a tv show or movie! It sounded so intense and equally fascinating, I loved that aspect of this story. I know that in her other novels Schade includes a lot of dog training bits in her story and honestly it never gets old. It’s interesting especially because I have dogs. Some people might find it tedious, but I think it’s interesting and I think the author does a good job making it interesting and not overwhelming. I was also really captivated by the whole how to prove the dog is yours situation. I never considered the steps one would have to go through to prove that their dog was their dog! Insane and so interesting!

Spencer and Griffin stole the show in this book and I cannot wait for more doggie romances from Schade! I adored this one!

Justine Becker has finally been able to adopt a dog. Her new friend, Spencer, is a fun loving terrier with a knack for learning tricks. One day a friend tells Justine she saw Spencer on Facebook as a missing dog. Justine discovers her Spencer is Leo missing for a year from his owner Griffin McCabe. This news couldn't have come at a worse time. Spencer auditioned and landed a role in a TV series. Justine knows she needs to make contact with the previous owner, but fears someone will have their heart broken. A sweet, heart warming tale for dog lovers and non dog lovers alike.

Four paws up for this adorable tail! What do you do when the dog you found and fell in love with previous owner shows up? That is the situation Justine finds herself in in this delightful romcom. Justine found Spencer took him in and fell in love with him, and now Griffin, spencer/Leo’s previous owner has shown up. Justine agrees to meet up with Griffin but only so he can see that Spencer is OK. To complicate things even further Griffin is gorgeous and seems to have a crazy bond with Spencer. What follows is a sweet and realistic story about to likable characters and a lovable dog.

This was just such a fun feel good story. Both Justine and Griffin were likable characters who found themselves in an impossible situation. But of course Spencer stole the show! I thought all the dog training tidbits during the book were very interesting. The secondary characters were wonderful and the town where Justine lived was lovely. Something else I really appreciate about this book is that Justine and Griffin had real problems, they weren’t just all based on a ridiculous miscommunication that could’ve been solved in about three words. A lovable story guaranteed to make you smile!

Raise you’re hand if you’re a dog person! Me, I am! In case you didn’t notice based on the pictures of my pupper all over Speaking Of.

Lost, Found, and Forever is just the book for all my dog lovers. This not so typical romance follows dog stop owner Justine and her rescue pup Spencer. Spencer and Justine are soul mates and do everything together. Not just a shop keeper, Justine also happens to be great at teaching Spencer tricks, which gets his noticed and optioned to be on a up and coming TV show. All seems to be going well until Justine finds a Facebook post where Spencer’s original owner, Griffin, is still looking for him. Cue the predictability of a romance.

This is such a sweet and quick read. And honestly Spencer, the dog, was the real star. I felt that while the story followed the normal trajectory of a romance book, it was also realistic in it’s efforts. That coupled with the banter and spark between Justine and Griffin made this a four star read for me.

This book is paw-solutely adorable and is available now! Now to teach Sadie to do lots of tricks so we can land big TV contracts too.

It has a puppy + romance, enough said in my mind LOL
This was a cute, easy read and I loved that the pup itself was the catalyst for the meet-cute and the entire story. If you're looking for a light and fluffy read with perfectly adorable & quirky characters, this is the perfect read for you! Love when a contemporary romance is lighthearted and fun like this one, thank you to Berkley for letting me read and review this book as a part of the #BerkleyBuddyReads #BerkleyWritesStrongWomen campaign

Lost, Found and Forever is a very well written book. I loved this book. I recommend this book to those who love and enjoy their pets.

I just love love animal featured romance books, especially when dogs are featured. They are my absolutely favorite animals besides pandas. And I even like it more when they are part of the romance stories. I find myself laughing while also getting vicious when I was reading Lost, Found, and Forever. I love that the characters had spark between each other but I would be pissed too if someone wanted to reclaim my dog. I am sorry but if I have them, they are mine. I am not giving away my dog, no way no how. I don't know how these two did it when they were fighting over Spence. But I will not give in at all. They somehow manage too, and they end up falling in love with each other too. It's too cute. I was so impressed after I finished my vicious stage.

I'm a sucker when it comes to dogs and cats, so when I saw this cover, I knew I had to pick it up and read. And Lost, Found, and Forever did not disappoint. This was such a cute story about two people coming together because of their shared love for a dog. I enjoyed the drama and humor and the behind the scene looks at a filming. The characters were very likable because of their wit and banter and it was destined to be a happily-ever-after story. But Spencer the dog, stole this book - it made the book.

Justine Becker, the owner of a dog supply store in a small town, is struggling to keep her business above water, but her luck starts to change when her rescue dog, Spencer, gets cast as an actor on a new TV show. There’s just one problem - Griffin McCabe claims Spencer is actually his dog, Leo, and he’s not going to walk away from his beloved four-legged buddy without a fight!

This book was just all around adorable! Justine is smart, determined, kind, compassionate, and a fantastic dog mom. Griffin is a genuinely nice guy, plus he’s smart, career driven, and generous. It doesn’t hurt that he’s also extremely attractive! The characters were likable and relatable, and I really loved the mature interactions between Justine and Griffin and their mutual love for Spencer/Leo. I also liked that there were serious aspects to the story in addition to the sweet and funny moments. The author is a dog trainer IRL so the reader gets an accurate behind the scenes glimpse into the world of filming and animal acting. Overall, this was a feel good and heartwarming story!

If you’re looking to escape into a charming romance with a lovable furry sidekick, then you should definitely read this book!

“Their magical time together in Connecticut during her elementary school years had left an imprint on Justine’s heart, and she knew she needed the change of seasons to feel at home.”

Same girl, same. Connecticut born and bred right here 🙋🏼‍♀️.

What do you do when you accidentally discover that your heart dog may have been previously loved by another? Lost, Found, and Forever is an absolutely adorable book about the love and loyalty of a rescued dog 🐾 . Spencer/Leo finds himself adored by two separate owners. Currently owned by Justine, a new to the game dog trainer, she is steadfast in asserting that Spence is HERS now. But when she sees Leo’s love towards his initial owner Griffin, a sexy and smart business type, can she, in good conscience, keep these two souls separated?

I have adopted 5 retired racing greyhounds over the years and there is nothing like the love of a dog that knows you’re giving him/her their best life. The thought of Spencer recognizing and remembering Griffin years after being lost warms my heart. BUT, you would have to pry my dogs leash from my cold dead hands if you came at me with prior ownership paperwork. Dogs are just the best aren’t they? If I’m honest, I prefer them to people most days 😜.

If you have ever loved or been loved by a rescue, you will enjoy this endearing tale of an amazing dog that finds himself acting on a Hollywood set and facilitating romantic sparks between the two people he loves most. ✨💘

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
Ya’ll after reading Who Rescued Who last year- I made sure that Victoria Schade was on my list of authors to keep up with. And when a publicist from Berkley sent me a Netgalley widget for Lost, Found & Forever a few months ago- it took all the strength I had to NOT sit down with that book that day and immediately start reading. I gave in to the urge some time later 🙂

What I Liked:

The cover. Oh that puppy is SO cute (and this is from someone who is Totally Team Cat- as Callie the cat pretty much rules my life and I am also sorta obsessed with The Oreo Cat and Rover The Cat on Instagram)

The love that Justine and Griffin have for Spencer. Both of them loved that dog to pieces- which made me love them more.

Justine’s store- Tricks and Biscuits. What a cute store (and setting!) for most of the book!

Bottom line: This book is really cute and a quick read. It will just give you a happy feeling and you’ll be looking forward to Victoria Schade’s NEXT book eagerly!

Justine and her dog Spencer were meant to find each other. Justine knew from the moment she saw him that Spencer was meant to be her dog. So what is she going to do when she finds out that Spencer used to be someone else’s dog and they’ve been searching for him since he went missing?

This one was such a cute read!! Loved the premise of the book and the characters. The relationship Justine and Spencer was such a cute one and I loved all of the supporting characters. Definitely want to read the rest of @victoria_schade backlist 😍 🌟🌟🌟🌟 for this one!!

What happens when your rescue dog isn't technically your dog? Justine Becker is living her life innocently in Connecticut with her rescue dog Spencer at her dog store, Tricks & Biscuits when her employee finds out that Spencer belongs to someone who has been looking for him for a year. Pair it with a chance encounter that takes Spencer and Justine onto a tv set - this book was such a fun ride.

The great thing at romance books is the reader knows where we will end up, but what makes a great romance book is when the author takes the reader on a great ride and Victoria Schade did just that. From the beginning, I loved Justine as she was trying to juggle a few balls in the air while being a dog mom. I enjoyed watching her meet Griffin and seeing the ups and downs of their encounters as they struggled with ownership of Spencer/Leo.

I tend to judge romance books by their steaminess and while this book definitely had some sexy times, they fit into the arc of the story and didn't feel forced. There wasn't lusting from the beginning which I appreciate and instead was a natural uphill climb to the top! Of course, throw in a cute dog with tricks and I am sold!

This is my second Victoria Schade book and I love how she writes romance. I have one more in her backlist that I want to read soon!
