The Silent Suspect is the third installment in the Paige Northwood series. Paige is a sign language interpreter for a social worker that sometimes does freelance work for the local police. In this novel, Paige becomes involved in a murder investigation that involves one of her social worker’s clients. I thought the other two books in the series had a better plot, as this book seemed to get much more involved in Paige’s personal life, sometimes at the expense of the plot, which dragged things down a bit. Although it’s a stand-alone novel, it helps to have read the previous books so you have some background, although it’s not a necessity. Overall, I still enjoyed the book (and this series), and continue to look forward to the next chapter. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through @NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A good read.
Lukas phoned Paige Northwood to tell her that his house is burning and his wife Nadia is in the house. And then police found that Nadia was dead before the fire started. Who set the fire,? Why they killed Nadia? Lukas refused to say anything in his defence to the police. Now, how would they find the killer?
The premise was interesting but the ending was so so. By the time I reached the ending, I wasn't much interested in knowing who the killer is. This author's first book was interesting from the first page to the last but her other two are ok ok. Overall it's a one time read.
I loved the characters of Anna and Rav Singh.
Narration of the story was good.
Thanks to NetGalley and Avon for giving me an advanced copy of this psychological thriller.
Another great read from Nell Pattison.
Paige Northwood the British Sign Language interpreter returns in this title , she is working part time with social worker Sasha, Sasha herself is deaf and Paige signs for her when needed.
An individual on Sasha’s case load is Lukas , the story begins with Paige receiving a call from him saying his house is on fire.
The book is an easy read the style of writing flows from one chapter to the next . The police officer Rav Singh is back in this novel and also the churlish DI Forest who often shows her dislike of Paige .
The characters are written in an authentic way and are likeable and gel together well , I like how the book shows the hours before the fire and returns to the present day. I usually find this confusing , but Nell Pattison’s writing is straightforward , therefore causing no issues.
There were twists in the story that I did not envisage , and I was surprised to find out the identity of the offender, which is always a good sign,
Overall a compelling read highly recommended!
Thanks to NetGalley and Avon books for this arc copy.
