Lynn Cahoon has once again pulled me into this series all about the families we create, with a side of mystery. Already battling to save her farm from developers, and running her restaurant, the last thing Angie needs to add to her life is tracking down a missing wife. However, she is always ready to help a friend .. I highly recommend this book and series.

Lynn Cahoon's Farm to Fork Mystery Series would be a perfect series for the Hallmark Movie Mysteries channel. I can already visualize the actors who would play the parts. Killer Comfort Food is the newest edition and doesn't disappoint. Angie and the gang attract trouble like a magnet and constantly irritate the Police Chief. I finish each book in this series entertained and hungry.

A clean cozy set in a small town with a backdrop of a restaurant. Somehow the storyline didn’t quite work for me. At times it felt disjointed, but all in all an enjoyable read.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of KILLER COMFORT FOOD (Book 5 of the Farm-to-Fork Mysteries) by Lynn Cahoon in exchange for an honest review. Angie Turner’s focus is distracted from her restaurant, the County Seat. A soybean processing plant intensifies its efforts to pressure Angie and all of her neighbors to sell their farmland property so it can build its facility. Angie has no objection to the plant being built, but she feels like it should be placed in another location where there was previously a meat packing plant. Angie doesn’t want to give up her childhood home, her memories of Nonna, her pet chicken Mabel, or her pet goat Precious. When a local bar owner, Barb, asks Angie for help, Angie reluctantly agrees. Barb’s daughter has gone missing, and Barb wants her found. As it turns out, the attorney for the soybean processing plant is Barb’s son-in-law. They’ve had marital troubles, so the lawyer said he thought she’d simply left. Can Angie thwart the enemy while aiding an enemy agent? Meanwhile, one of the County Seat’s employees is placed in danger, and the County Seat must work together to protect her.

I liked this book and enjoy the series. I recommend this book to fans of the series. I recommend the series to fans of cozy mysteries featuring murder, food, restaurants, and pets.

Another great installment in Angie Turner's life. This time the wife of a lawyer handling the potential purchase of Angie's house goes missing. She just happens to be the secret daughter of Angie's friend's Barb. When official police leads go nowhere it's up to Angie and the gang to find out if Susan run off or has been kidnapped.
The ending felt a bit rushed and i didn't quite understand how Abigail, the other kidnap victim, fit into the whole story but other than that it was a fun read.

Killer Comfort Food by Lynn Cahoon was an advance reader copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Angie Turner, who runs County Seat Restaurant, doesn't want to sell her family home. A large soybean plant wants to buy up properties to create much needed jobs for the area. Barb, owner of the Red Eye Saloon, talked to Angie. Barb said her daughter Sunny is missing and someone has died. She asks for help. Some corrupt men are trying to get the property anyway they can to start the soybean plant. People are disappearing. A chef who works for County Seat is being harassed by her ex husband and is also harassing his kids. Angie is helping. One woman is still missing.
I like Lynn Cahoon books, but have never read this series. It takes place in Idaho, near Boise. This was a very nice cozy mystery. Easy to read and even though I haven't read any other from this series, it wasn't hard to get into. Thanks to Lynn for an enjoyable read.

Angie Turner finds herself still fighting alone to prevent the soybean plant from building on her land. While everyone in town is excited for the jobs, Angie has a “Just not in my backyard” take on it. Selfish? Maybe, but the house is the only thing she has left of her family and it holds so many memories for her. As the corporation gets more aggressive it looks like Angie may be in danger and Ian has taken up residence in the house to keep her safe.

When the wife of the attorney who keeps trying to get her to sell goes missing, Angie is asked to help find the missing woman. Not sure whether the woman left her husband or was killed by him, Angie digs a little but doesn’t find much. Between the soybean corporation and looking into the woman’s disappearance, Angie realizes she may just need to give up and keep herself and her animals safe. But Ian, Felicia, and the crew always have her back. But will that be enough to keep Angie alive?

I adore this series! Mabel, Precious, and Dom have won my heart ten times over. Add to that the writing of the very talented Lynn Cahoon and I am hooked! You cannot go wrong with any book from this author. She writes solid whodunits that keep you going back and forth through the suspects with all the red herrings. Be sure to check out the recipe at the end.

I enjoyed this book. It's got a lot of suspense and a good mystery in it. I enjoyed the characters and their interactions. I was too surprised by who the bad guy was but then the story gave it away. I'm glad for the ending. #KillerComfortFood #NetGalley
