I adore Catana's work and I have her previous book "Little moments of Love".
She keeps the same recipe: illustrations of everyday adorable moments between a loving couple.
I can't wait to buy this one too!!

I was provided an advanced digital copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley for review purposes, all opinions are my own.

I love how Catana Chetwynd continues to capture the special and ordinary moments with her favorite person. Her comics are adorable and so relatable, and it's fun and heartwarming to see parts of our own relationships. Just like with SNUG, I'm able to enjoy the love expressed in this book with a fondness for my favorite person who is no longer with me.

Something that I love about IN LOVE & PAJAMAS is that you can open the book to any page and have a little chuckle. These comics make the mundane fun. There were some comics that made me literally laugh out loud and it was truly wonderful to feel those moments of joy.

I cannot wait to have a copy of IN LOVE & PAJAMAS of my own so I can pick it up any time I may need a pick me up. AND it includes stickers!!

IN LOVE & PAJAMAS would make a wonderful gift for the person who you like to snuggle with the most.

Introverted Couple Goals!
Having read ‘Little Moments of Love’ a couple of years ago, I was so excited when I had the opportunity to read Catana Comics’ upcoming release, ‘In Love and Pajamas’. Each of these comics perfectly catches the embarrassing shared moments of pure intimacy between a couple; moments that make you realise that maybe all other couples are as weird as you. From the shameless clingy-ness, back scratchies and secretly relishing a night-in, each of these pages had me smiling to myself, bursting to go over to my husband and say, “It’s us!”.

Catana's comics have been appearing on my Instagram feed for years, so I was really happy to have found this one on NetGalley. Most of the time, the comics on social media only work online and rarely in book format. But this one works so well as there is a common theme running each page throughout the book.

The drawing style is simplistic, which does help the message of the book: love and relationship between two people. Maybe it is because I have been such a big fan of Catana's comics, I truly love this book. It is also relatable to a lot of people since there are not many specific situations in this book except maybe extroverts could have a hard time relating to the content. The scenes mostly focus on staying at home and helping each other at hard times, which was really sweet.

I received this book not long ago and finished it in less than 20 minutes. It is extremely easy to read and perfect for the times you are in need of a calming fun alone time.

Thank you to Net Galley and Andrew McMeel Publishing for letting me read an early copy of In Love & Pajamas! This comic was so cute and wholesome! It brought me back to things I did early in my dating relationship with my now husband and we still do some of these things today. If your in a relationship or love cute relationship things I highly suggest picking this one up, you won't be sorry! I will definitely be checking out more from Catana Chetwynd and picking up a final copy of this when it releases!

Catana Chetwynd shows us snippets of her day-to-day life and her relationship in this collection. The art reminds me of Sarah Andersen's Adulthood Is a Myth, while the story is closer to Debbie Tung's Happily Ever After & Everything In Between(all of them being Andrews McMeel titles. Although the characters are expressive enough, it does sometimes come across as too simplistic, and I think I would have liked the page to not be as bare. The last comic, with the yellow flowers, is quite beautiful; I understand it might not be possible for it to be as colourful or busy in every page, but a bit more would have been better.

The stories are funny and relatable, and I do like that they're about the couple and not just the author, which was one of the things I liked the least about I Left The House Today! by Cassandra Clarin. However, they're still pretty much what you would expect: the woes of adulting, funny pet interactions, etc. They're funny, but I'm not blown away.

All in all, it met my expectations, but it didn't surpass them. I'm glad I read it, I had fun, but it didn't leave me wanting for more.

This a heart worming and chill illustration compilation from the brilliant Catana Comic, that will melt your heart and would help you deal with the love of your life!

In its traditional format and design (which is cute as fluffy), Catana Comics present experience of a couple's life that can be relatable in so many levels and that will help you find the love in the small things that our "beloved" tend to make to annoy us (and us to them).

I sweet compilation that will be treasure specially in does pj days!

I've been a huge fan of Catana Chetwynd's work since her comics gained traction on Bored Panda. Like Chetwynd's other books, In Love & Pyjamas is a collection of comics that primarily focuses on the joys of love. The affection shown between Catana and John is wholesome and very relatable if one is in a similar relationship. I've previously seen another reviewer call Chetwynd's work "saccharine" and although I disagree, I can understand where they're coming from to an extent; the sweetness eminating from her comics is almost tangible, and if you're not inclined to revelling in the small happy moments a romantic relationship can bring, then this collection might be a bit overwhelming in one sitting. But me? I love love, I love other people being in love, and I love that every time I read Chetwynd's comics, I want to immediately give my boyfriend a hug.

For people who like slice-of-life comics, for a trusty source of smiles, for more of Catana’s established comic style, for anyone who’s been in a long-term relationship and is familiar with the feeling of settling in and having routines

Catana Chetwynd is a master at creating comics that feel like a slice of your own life. Not to speak for you, of course, but that certainly is the feeling for myself and many others. For example: the very first comic in this book is something that happens so frequently in my relationship that I just had to laugh when I read it. And then settled in happily for the rest.

There are plenty of new comics in this collection, so if you follow Catana’s work you’ll still have new things to enjoy! One of my favorites was a moment of comparing hand sizes, and the gentle awe that comes with it. And again… that’s something that happens with relative frequency for me. 😂

And hey, if you’re not in a relationship or never have been, this is still a plenty welcoming collection. They’re just cute and fun regardless, and a lot of these are situations that could also happen with roommates, friends, etc. Who hasn’t made a kickass blanket and pillow fort for movie night before? (If you’re raising your hand, I recommend changing that ASAP ☺)

If you’ve NEVER read something by Catana Chetwynd, oh my god are you lucky because you’re about to be introduce to heartwarming, simple comics that can always tempt out a smile. Focused on her relationship, Catana and John show those Little Moments of Love that can define a relationship. There’s also a good dose of moments where she pokes fun at herself or John, acknowledging their absurdities and inconsistencies (especially when hangry or over-tired) that shows she’s not taking it all too seriously. I mean, it’s a comic, yo.

This collection of gentle comics is about a couple and their daily life. It is a book about loving one’s partner and accepting them with all of their quirks. It allows for the ways in which partners may be the same or different from each other and, regardless, can still love each other. If you are looking for a bit of emotional uplift and some smiles, this title may be for you.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Oh right, this one I didn't enjoy it. Was too cute at he point that gets kind of boring to me. Of course, this is my opinion, not necesary is bad is just that for me is incredible repetitive to the point that I didn't want to finish it.
For the author fans this will be awesome, for me, not so much

This was so dang cute. I love this sort of short comics. I, personally, just love when a realistic approach it brought to comics. It gives a much more accurate expectation to what it actually may look like to be in a relationship.

“When I’m done being mad can we go get burritos?” Never related so much in my life.

This would be a nice quick read to cleanse the brain after reading a dense novel. I like to read these sort of things, or really light contemporary in between

A cute and fast read.
While very similar to her last book there was still something new and relatable in these little drawings.

I love all comics by Catana Chetwynd! I follow her on Instagram and show my boyfriend so many of them that remind me of us especially the beard related ones, I've convinced him to have a viking beard and am currently working on persuading him to grow his hair!

Any new release is automatically put on my list because they're funny and make me feel warm and cosy.

100% everyone should have this, and all her others, in their collection!

*Huge thanks to Catana Chetwynd, Andrew McMeel Publishing and NetGalley for this copy which I chose to read and all opinions are my own*
