This book is so cute! I love this for children to help deal with their emotions with breathing exercises and mantras. I loved reading this to my daughter and having this copy for her to refer back to as she grows older is a plus. She currently enjoys the beautiful picture more than the meaning behind the words, but I know she'll take these words with her as she grows.

This book is amazing and I think that not only children should read it, but adults as well!

The illustrations pair well with the book as it helps children learn how to calm down from big emotions.

As a mom who deals with anxiety herself and has started noticing some small signs in my child, reading this book first (and then second to her), it helped me with some ways to help my daughter out as well.

I love the ending the most though!

Firstly, I would like to thank Netgalley and Kodansha for providing me with an e-arc of the book. This review is based on my personal opinion and enjoyment of the book.

Super cute book on calming one self. Self soothing at its finest.

I read this by myself and then to both my girls, who are two and seven. They both enjoyed this book and so did I!

I enjoy finding books/stories to read to my girls that goes over lessons and/or learning experiences. I find it extremely helpful to start having certain life lesson conversations after reading a book to my girls. Granted, my two year old is too young to have those type of conversations with but my seven year old is at that age where she is starting to critically think and try to understand and see things in a different view.

A difficult part of growing up is learning and understanding why we feel certain things. And for some kids its difficult to know how to process it. This book is lovely at demonstrating and teaching children how to cope with stressful situations.

The illustrations were also cute and my girls enjoyed them !

Thank you to Netgalley and Jessica Lee for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

A cute little story that introduces the idea of dealing with anxiety by focusing on one's breathing, moving around, finding a quiet spot and listening to the world around one, or breaking big things into smaller steps. The rhyming text and adorable illustrations should appeal to little ones, and the message is something everyone can use!

I love this book so much! "Breath Deep, Little Sheep" is the perfect balance of colourful, fun, and helpful, and achieves so much despite the simplicity of its concept. The text and advice is age appropriate. I can imagine this being very useful for children who are only just starting to understand the world around them and maybe getting a bit overwhelmed by it all. As a former highly sensitive child (now a highly sensitive adult), I wish something like this had been around when I found myself being controlled by my emotions. Of course, my parents helped as much as they could; that said, I do feel like this could be a very good tool for modern parents who want their child to feel safe and secure in themselves.

The nephew did not love this one as much as I did. Which is surprising, since he normally loves any books that feature different animals. Something about the words, maybe?

This is absolutely wonderful. It's a great book to wind down at the end of the day, about different animals and how they can each deal with the worries and anxieties that a lot of little ones can have.

I really did expect Jeremiah to like this more. Major bummer.

This is a cute picture book on how to ease anxious thoughts. Sheep and other animals use techniques to calm down and help ease their anxiety that children can easily follow. This book held my daughter's attention with rhymes and adorable illustrations. Would recommend if you want to introduce calming techniques that are self-soothing.

Thank you Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the opportunity to read this book.

Charming animals help teach young readers how to calm down and relax by breathing deep, slow breaths. The various animals face situations that humans do and demonstrate how to relax and not be anxious. Readers can read the text for themselves or with an adult who can reinforce what the book is saying. Delightful illustrations help readers feel they are part of the scene too. Informative steps provided at the end of the book.

In a world where anxiety is becoming more and more common in our children. This book is a great introduction to mindfulness for children. I will definitely be buying this for my grandchildren.

This book aims to help young children with anxiety. It is a simple, short rhyme with colorful illustrations of animals employing self-soothing tools. After the story, it has a three-step guide for parents/caregivers to help their children work through their anxiety.

Each page has a different animal using a different strategy. I feel that the book might have been more effective if one character held the story together rather than several; it would have allowed for a child to relate to the character.

The illustrations are bright and colorful and simply adorable. Parents with children who suffer from anxiety may find this book to be helpful.

Breathe Deep, Little Sheep by Jessica Lee is a useful resource to teach kids how to calm-down and ease their emotional pains and worries.

I really love the illustrations that go along with this helpful picture book. I think this is a truly valuable tool that will help some kids learn how to calm down from big emotions. Anxiety is a big and scary thing, especially for kids! Tools like this book can be beneficial and helpful. The steps they provide at the back of the book is also very useful.

All around, this is a sweet picture book that can be super helpful and is lots of fun to read!

Three out of five stars.

This is an excellent introduction for toddlers about mindfulness and self-affirmations. The illustrations were delightful and engaging and the rhyming was cute and catchy. I highly recommend.

Breathe Deep, Little Sheep is a book for children to help them learn to deal with anxiety. I would encourage parents to read this first solo to see if it's a good fit for their child. It's written in a sing-songy rhyme that makes for soothing reading and the illustrations are colorful and cute... but there is one scene of a sheep with tears in its eyes that might upset some small children. Also: the word "exhale" might be tough for young readers.

At the end of the book, there are some suggestions for parents. I thought the pinwheel idea was really clever.

Breathe Deep, Little Sheep introduces young children to the importance of learning to self calm when anxiety or worrying starts. Simple text offers strategies such as breathing deeply, taking a break somewhere quiet and talking about feelings. The illustrations feature animals and fit the strategies well. A perfect introduction to self calming and mindfulness.
