A powerful page turning book. It's real & saturated with scripture. As someone who had a family traumatic head injury it was hard but encouraging to read. People who have never walked that path will be shocked but God is amazing and we each need to know his grace towards us.

Black and Blue Hearts is a heartbreaking story of the blood, sweat and tears a woman gave for her marriage. The reader follows the life of Annalee Jackson, a newlywed who loves her husband and the new life she is starting. We learn of her life, past marriage, loss of loved ones and family secrets. This woman has been through a lot, but she has her husband, Ned, and God to give her strength.
Sadly, life doesn’t always stay picture perfect. Between custody battles, Ned’s temper and a life-changing accident, Annalee is battered by the hits of life. We follow the character throughout her years, and see the strength that God gave her to be strong and not give up, and eventually see the beauty in the ashes.
Each chapter ends in scriptures that will lift the reader up, and help remind us no matter how life goes, there is always hope.
