An absolutely adorable sequel to Pugtato, where he goes around making friends with everyone! Great board book about making friends.
Another very cute book in the Pugtato series!! I love the illustrations, the play on the animals names and the rhyming. This one has less of a story than the original, if I remember correctly. It was still very fun, just maybe for a younger audience. This would be a great board book!
A fun rhyming book with creative characters that play on words. Each of Pugtato's friends are good at something and this books highlights that. Silly rhymes and drawings add to this short but sweet book. Definitely a fun read for those who want a quick book before bed. Can engage further with child by having them imagine their own food animal. I enjoyed this fun read.
Pugtato and his animal/vegetable buddies are sweetly sharing what they have to give: friendship. The drawings are bizarre yet adorable and the book teaches a lesson about what it means to be a good friend.
This picture books is a short and entertaining story about how different friends have different strengths and how they all better your life. The grownups will appreciate all the puns and the kids will love the silliness at the heart of the book.
This book could not be more adorable. Pugtato talks about all of his friends in a simple book that is fun and appealing for young kids to look at. my kids got a kick out of this one. A great one as well for kids learning to read as this book has many sight words for kids to point out. I have nothing bad to say at all! I know there are more pugtato books out there and excited to show them to my kids!
I absolutely love this series! Great imagination, beautiful illustrations, and a fun story. This is definitely one of my favorite books of 2020.
Cute story! I love this book and it will be a great book to read with my kids in the spring while we pick the veggies we want to plant in our gardens!
Pugtato and his foodish buddies are back! This cute little book reads like the introductions after the band plays a song or two. We meet all of Pugtato’s friends and learn about what makes them such great friends!
This one is super short, so it’s perfect for evening storyime when dinner was late and bathtime was a struggle, and you can’t believe it’s already 9pm and the little ones are still awake but demand a story before falling asleep. The art is super cute (as usual), and there’s plenty of opportunity to identify different animals and foods, so if you’ve got a little more time, you can take a few minutes to have your kiddo identify Pugtato’s friends as both animals and foods.
This one’s not out until March, but keep it on your radar, especially if you enjoyed the first Pugtato picture book.
Such a cute read!!! Great way to talk to your little ones about being friends and different types of veggies! We loved reading this book and will be checking out the other titles in this series!
This is the 2nd Pugtato book! Pugtato is a spunky little pug potato. In this book he visits all his various animal-veggie friends like croccoli and unicorn on the cob. This sweet rhyming tale is loaded with colorful whimsical illustrations of these creatures My little guy liked for me to linger on each page so he could take in the pictures. Its a quick little book that can easily be worked into even the most rushed of bedtimes. And maybe, just maybe, it will make your kids appreciate veggies.
I LOVE PUGTATO!
I loved the other Pugtato book, and this one is just as cute. I love how each food is connected to an animal and that the illustrations are bright and colorful and fun.
This is a delightful board book that kids will get a kick out of. Pugtato and his buddies (a.k.a. spuddies) are instructing readers how to become BBFs with those around them. How can that be possible? What do best spuddies like to do? Why they listen, share and help each other. They are there for each other and enjoy each other's company.
This rhyming book features imaginative creative characters that will have kids giggling. The illustrations are quirky and silly and that's exactly what kids love. "Pugtato, Let's Be Best Spuddies" will evoke conversations focusing on friendship, sharing and helping others. If you like this book the other title in the series... "Pugtato Finds a Thing" will be well worth checking out. I wonder what Pugtato will be up to next... stay tuned.
A cute story about friendship, and what makes good friends, with cute pictures that will have toddlers giggling as they enjoy "seeing" each of the "animals" and it would make a perfect book for garden-loving kiddos too.
While the characters in Pugtato are adorable and whimsical and fun, the story lacks serious plot or reason to want to read the book. There could have been much more done with these cute little animal friends.
Disappointed
I enjoyed this Pugtato book much more than the first one. The friends of Pugtato are creative and funny. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my digital review copy.
A little more simple than the other Pugtato book, this one is still very cute and I love the illustrations! This would make the perfect board book for beginner readers.
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. An adorable book with super fun illustrations of "animals".
What a fun children's book! In this book, we meet Pugtato and his wonderful friends. Each character is an adorable mix between animal and vegetable. A kind trait is listed for each friend. The illustrations are whimsical and beautiful. Children and adults will really enjoy this one!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.
This is another cute book about Pugtato and his... um... edible friends.
I read Pugtato Finds a Thing back in September and thought it was adorable. This book is just as cute. However, it's not really a story like the first one. In fact, except for the fact that this book is a bit of a spoiler for the first one, it actually works better as the first book in the series because it's basically just an introduction to all the characters. In this book, we see Pugtato's friends being friendly... but that's really all there is to it. It's sweet, but there's no real plot.
If you liked Pugtato Finds a Thing, be sure to check out Pugtato, Let's Be Best Spuddies.
