Laurie Gelman has kept up the momentum in this fun story in the third installment of Jen Dixon's Class Mom. I really love reading these books because Jen is in her 50s and struggling with all of the family issues that come with older children, while still having a younger child in school and also trying to find her way and creating a something for herself. Jen is funny, but so relatable and likable. Definitely a fun book series to read!

I love these books! Tremendously normalizing with a hefty dose of fun. I am morning the loss of Jen's homeroom mom gig as Max heads into middle school, but hoping there are still more books in this series so I don't have to say goodbye!

This was such a cute read!! I really enjoyed reading this, and my favorite thing about this book was the sarcastic, funny personality of Jennifer. If you need a light, laugh out loud read before school starts again- this is the perfect book!

Yoga Pant Nation is Laurie Gelman's latest installment in the Class Mom series, and it is everything I hoped it would be: funny, snarky, and remarkably touching. I have wanted to read the Class Mom series for some time but have not yet made the time to do so; when I had the opportunity to read Yoga Pant Nation, I couldn't pass it up, even though I have not yet read the first two books in the series. Now, I'm even more convinced I need to get my hands on the first two books, Class Mom and You've Been Volunteered.

Jennifer, our main character and wearer of all styles of yoga pants, is snarky yet hilarious, driven yet weary, no-nonsense yet protective. She is Class Mom for 10-year-old Max's 5th grade class, the final year of the elementary school journey. She spearheads the school's fundraising efforts, chaperones the 5th grade overnight trip, organizes class parties, and sends lots of really funny class emails.

Meanwhile, Jennifer is also working to become a spin instructor, she's watching her two year old granddaughter a few times a week, navigating the murky waters of helping her elderly parents, spending time with her two grown daughters, helping her divorced friend find a new beau, and supporting her oldest daughter through a custody battle. I love Jennifer's entire attitude toward life. I love her drive and perseverance as she works to become a spin instructor. I love her fierce protectiveness toward her parents and her children. I love her dry wit, the trouble she gets herself into, and the love and support she gives and receives from her family and friends.

This book is really light and funny, and yet it also covers some heavy topics with grace and respect: bullying, co-parenting, and aging parents.

I absolutely will be reading more Laurie Gelman books! Thank you to NetGalley, Ms. Gelman, and publisher Henry Holt & Co. for an advanced copy of Yoga Pant Nation in exchange for my honest review.

Jen Dixon is back in this third installment of the series, just as hilarious and straight talking as ever. In this book, she’s back as a class mom and she’s heading up the fundraising committee, getting by on luck, wine and creativity! She’s caring for and worrying about her aging parents and her granddaughter, Maude. Jen handles it all like a pro, as usual!

I was excited to read this novel - it did not disappoint! I laughed out loud way too often, sometimes when I was in inappropriate places…on an airplane, late in bed at night, waiting for a to-go food order, etc. I couldn’t put it down to get anything else done. If you’ve ever volunteered at school or for the PTA, you must read Yoga Pant Nation and the other two before it, Class Mom and You’ve Been Volunteered. You will thank me.

This was a book that I ended up not finishing due to lack of interest in content. For that reason I was unable to rate more than one star.

Time for the third (and I suspect final) installment of Class Mom! This is a perfect ending to the trilogy. We are back with Jen Dixon as she navigates ANOTHER year of class mom duty, combined with taking care of her granddaughter and caring for her aging parents. The sandwich generation meets class mom, plus a new side career. This was a quick read, and exactly as expected in terms of the series. I read it in one sitting while on vacation and it perfectly engaged my attention, without being too draining.

So if you've read Class Mom, and You've Been Volunteered, you won't want to miss this one. If you haven't read them, please go do so! Read in order so I don't have to issue a warrant for your arrest by the book police.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third in a series by Laurie Gelman. I read and enjoyed the other two and was excited to receive an advanced copy of this one. It’s fun and light and requires no thought, which is sometimes my kind of book. This one has less of a plot than the other two and wasn’t as laugh out loud funny to me, but I still enjoyed it. 3.5 stars.

I have read the other two books in this series and love Jen Dixon, the main character. She is snarky, funny but has a good heart. This book sees her undertake a huge fundraising challenge as her last year as Class Mom. As always, she puts her own spin on things and does it her own way.

A fun read (and pretty quick) - definitely good for the summer!

3.5 stars! This was a cute read. I didn’t realize it was the third book in a series (I haven’t read the first two) but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Thanks so much to NetGalley and Henry Holt & Company for the free copy in exchange for my honest review!

I enjoyed the "Class Mom" books and Laurie Gelman's wit and dry humour, however this book sadly fell short for me. It was hard for me to get into, the daily monologues were long, and overall it felt slow. I did however appreciate the snarky PTO emails and the introduction of her granddaughter.

Thanks to NetGalley and Henry Holt & Company for my ARC in exchange for my honest review. This book was published July 13, 2021.

I just reviewed Yoga Pant Nation by Laurie Gelman. #YogaPantNation #NetGalley

This is the third book in a fun series about class mom Jen Dixon. She’s older now and while trying to become a spin instructor, she gets assigned lead on the upcoming school fundraiser. There are some extremely funny lines and a very clever acronym to describe the fundraising committee.

It’s not a literary masterpiece but it’s a quick and fun read.

I love when series get better with each book, and this series has been a joy to keep reading! This is the third installment in the Class Mom series and it's my favorite one!

Following everyone's favorite class mom for a third book, Gelman shines with more parenting hilarity, this time as Jen Dixon becomes class mom for one of the two 5th grade classes. From general mom shenanigans and late elementary school drama, to a serious fundraising race and lots of crazy family adventures, Yoga Pant Nation makes it clear that even though parenting is never easy, we all ned to step back and laugh at ourselves (and each other) from time to time.

This was especially funny for me as a mom, and I appreciated the many laugh out loud moments. I'm looking forward to reading another installment of this series so that I can hang with the Dixon family just a little bit more!

A huge thanks to NetGalley and Henry Holt Books for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I love this series that shows the life of a homeroom mom. It is spot on and I wish I could be Jen's best friend.

It's like coming home! Having read her last 2 books I loved another story of Jen Dixon! So laugh out loud funny and relatable. Love Laurie Gelman's writing style and her humor. Can't help cheering for Jen Dixon, her family and her fellow parents during Max's 5th grade year.

As a recent stay at home mom I really enjoyed this book. I had not read the others in the series but I felt like it did alright as a stand alone book. I thought some bits were a tad predictable but I still liked it. The cover was amazing and the title alone is what drew me to the book. Now I would like to read the other books in the series as quickly as possible. The character development was very well written and I enjoyed some of the laugh out loud moments.

This one was just…fine. I loved the other books in the series, but this one was just meh to me. Nothing super interesting, and not enough to keep me hooked, unfortunately.

Ha! So fun. So clever. So relatable. I have not read the first two In this series and it didn’t matter a bit. Start with this one! I plan on going back and reading the first two - these characters are delightful. Anyone who has had a child in school will relate to this book - the PTA emails and newsletters and the constant fundraising schemes…she hit the nail on the head. Going on vacation? Going on a flight? Stuck inside on a rainy weekend day? This is the book for you. Pure fun. Thanks to Henry Holt and Company for this copy. I’m grateful.

Let's start with the honesty. I am 100% biased in this review. I absolutely love Laure Gelman's writing and her character Jen Dixon. I devoured Class Mom and You've Been Volunteered and when I saw Yoga Pant Nation I knew I had to get it! Thankfully for me, this didn't disappoint.

Jen is back for fifth-grade class mom duties, with an adorable two-year-old granddaughter, and a new spin class certification. And lucky for us, she's got something to prove this year as she takes on the PTA. This book is laugh-out-loud funny and you will not want to put it down. Though you don't have to read the other books first, it will really get you in the mood and mindset to read Jen's rantings to both her class and the PTA. I love the friendships she develops with the other moms and her no-nonsense attitude.

5/5 Stars!

Thank you to NetGalley and Henry Holt and Co. for providing me with an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
