I really love a good psychological thriller, and this was no exception. I had never heard of the Author before and I'm always happy to try someone different. This was book 4 in the Dan Riley series, but I haven't actually read any of the others and this was not a problem. It is a perfect standalone novel.

Detective Riley is a person who you would really want fighting your corner if you were in trouble, and Daisey was lucky she had him in hers. Daisey although vulnerable was quite a strong character and very likeable, as was Detective Riley. Some other characters not quite so likeable.

After about 52% of the book, I had an inkling on who was going to be involved in the murders, but I kept reading and boy did I not see the twist coming! This book had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't put it down. I think it's the quickest I've read a book in quite some time.

I will certainly be reading the other 3 in the series though as I loved this!

This book had me hooked from the first page. Detective Dan Riley is in search of a serial killer. The latest victim, Daisey Garrett, has traumatic amnesia. She has no recollection of her attack. Why is she still alive? Will the killer strike again? Is Daisey still in danger? Explore the mind of a serial killer in this hair raising thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. This is part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone. This was my first book to read from the series, but definitely will not be my last. There were twists in this book I never saw coming. The case is rather frustrating as there seems to be no clues or evidence to who the murderer is.
The police realise that Daisy and one of the other victims worked at Warwicks department store is it a coincidence or are they linked.
This story goes into the past aswell to help us see why we have got to this point .

I really enjoy this author, this series, and I highly recommend! I actually haven’t read the first and so think this can be read as a stand-alone, but will be reading the first, as I do think it might give me insight into the detective. I think the author did a great job on writing a very chilling, shocking, and thrilling read! Fast paced and unputdownable! Highly, highly recommend!

This book is the fourth instalment and I have previously enjoyed the other 3 books. This book was a real page turner. It kept me up until the early hours of the morning as I just had to find out what had happened and how the story ended.

I loved this book and hope that there will a fifth instalment.

I chose to read The Woman Inside by Anna Lou Weatherby as the story sounded excellent, and just the type I like. It is a psychological thriller, set in London, and is the fourth book in the Detective Dan Riley Series. I hadn't read the other books in the series, although they were already in my to be read pile (it's a long pile!). This didn't make a difference to the story though, and I absolutely loved it.

I was really drawn in by the character of Dan and it didn't matter that I hadn't followed his story so far, as you come to learn what you need. He character is very well developed and it feels ike he is a really good person!

The story begins with the finding of Daisy, who has been attacked and left for dead. Miraculously she is still alive, and the story builds on the search for the Rose Petal Serial Killer with Dan Riley in the fore. Daisy has completely lost any memory of the night in question, but slowly the missing pieces start to return. This is terrifying for her, and she realises that lies have been told that won't help the police case.

The story flashes back to the 1980's, which is used to build the story, and I think it works really well. I'm not always a fan of this type of format but it worked very well.

I did work out half way through the book "whodunnit" but I'd say that the author probably wanted us to know. It certainly made it more dramatic and had me wanting to warn people!

The twist at the end was still brilliant and throughout there were parts that made me smile and feel real emotions. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I really connected with this book and the author with the content and setting too. I think it started when Anna Lou mentions Ghost Watch from back in the early nineties, for years I've tried to remember what it was called as it had such an effect on me! So thanks for that. There was lots of sentimental bits like this, like the mentioning of kids toys etc, which I really enjoyed!

I'd definitely recommend you give this book a try. Now I've started the first one again I am going to fly through the series and will await the next installment if there is to be one! Fingers crossed.

Serial killer attacking women with ‘Flower/Plant names attacks Dailey leaving her for dead. Police arrive, confirm she’s dead except she isn’t. She has no memory of the attack. Detective Dan Riley investigates ‘The Rose Petal Killer’.
This was a bit formulaic with lots of obvious clues and not many surprises- particularly with the flashbacks to the family in 1980’s.
I skipped through large parts of it as the story seemed over egged when I’d already worked out what was going on fairly early on.

I enjoyed this one, though I struggled with it a couple times. I think my primary problem was that the main character just wasn't very likeable. I felt for her because of her attack, but nothing about her made her particularly endearing. I would still try more from this author but would want to see a character you can care about.

The Woman Inside was a pretty good thriller. It had all of the elements of the kind of book that I generally like. For some reason, The Woman Inside just didn't do it for me. The plot was interesting but not original. I could see the plot twists coming well before they happened in the story. The characters didn't feel original, more like the same basic characters in any thriller with just a few tweaks. All in all, a find read but not one that will stick with me.

The narrative is set largely in the present, but there are also flashbacks from the 1980s. Detective Riley’s point of view are very good, featuring the investigation as well as his personal life.

The plot is cleverly planned with the twist and worked out really well. It kept me hooked till the end.

Readers who like reading about investigations.

This was the first DI Dan Riley book I read, but it won't be the last - I picked up the first three as soon as I finished this one.

I was happy to see that it worked really well as a standalone, too, and that I didn't feel lost (despite it being the fourth in the series).

The team are hunting for the Rose Petal Ripper, who has left a young woman named Daisey for dead after a brutal attack. She's the killer's third victim and, when she comes to in the hospital, she can't remember anything from the attack. Riley races against the clock to try and find out the truth -- and to prevent anyone else from getting hurt.

I had kind of figured out whodunnit, but the why and the how left me absolutely floored. There were plenty of terrifically terrifying twists and turns that had me hooked.

You will love this book! If you can’t get enough of thrillers that kept you turning the pages rapidly, The Woman Inside by Anna-Lou Weatherley is a book you need to read ASAP. The writing flows, the plot kept me wondering what would happen next. I didn’t know who I could trust in this book!

The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.

Although this book is part of a series I had no problem reading it without having read the earlier books. A great read and highly recommended

The Woman Inside is the first book I've read in the Detective Dan Riley series, and he's a great character, so I'm excited to read the first three books in the series. The Woman Inside was incredibly hard to put down, and I've never read anything quite like it. I thought I had figured things out fairly early in the book, but I really enjoyed finding out how wrong I was. Quite an intriguing tale drafted by author Anna-Lou Weatherley with Dan Riley as the investigating officer.

A woman had been hit by a hammer and her throat partially cut. She survived. Dan was the cop looking into that. Amnesia made the waters murky when the woman couldn’t remember anything. It took a complete team effort to get to the bottom of the mystery

With multiple POVs and dual timelines, the story was easy to guess, yet it was so entertaining. I liked Daisey’s survival spirit and the killer’s psychotic one. The author managed to make me feel sympathy for the killer. Ironic, yet amazing. Power if words, I would say.

This was book 4 in the series, but I didn’t remember anything if the earlier books and had no problems reading this one. I enjoyed the snippets of his personal life. The book had a humane touch to it which made it a fast read.

The smooth flow, intriguing mystery, and twisted plotline made this a rocking read. Time just flew by while I was stuck to this book.

Unfortunately, I have tried reading this book on 2 separate occasions and during that 2nd attempt, I have only managed to make it halfway through so I'd rather stop here and state that this book just wasn't for me.

Final sipping thoughts: So full disclosure, I wrote my prediction in my book journal at 32% in…and I was right! I was telling my husband that I figured it out and he asked me if that makes me not like the book or not want to finish it. I told him it could go either way. In The Woman Inside, I very much wanted to continue to first see if I was correct but also because I could not wait to see how it was reveal and why it happened. Weatherly took a storyline that has been done before and put such a great spin and twist to it that I am pretty sure I have never read a plot like this one! If you are an avid psychological thriller reader like myself, you may just figure out the twist but, boy oh boy, the ride getting to the reveal is SO good. I definitely recommend that you move this book up on your list of TBR before someone spoils the plot!

Anna-Lou Weatherly brings you a storyline that captivated my attention as no author has done in The Woman Inside. This story was deep on so many levels but nothing would prepare me for the twist at the end.

There are some triggers in the book such as violent attacks, animal cruelty, and mentions of an abortion.

This is my first time ever reading from Anna-Lou Weatherly. She chooses very important topics to bring awareness to them. Some I have never had the opportunity to read about a character experiencing before. I was just fascinated with reading about the characters that personality disorders, identity disorders, mental health issues. She handled these issues with a lot of heart and compassion.

Luke Daisey’s ex Fiancé was someone I didn’t care for at all. I think many of us can relate in one way or another of what a jerk he was. There were times I wanted to scream at him! Oh but what goes around comes back around!

They always say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! Daisey the main character in this book was so strong! She didn’t deserve anything that happened to her! My heart went out to her many times.

One thing I loved about the book is Anna-Lou took us back into the past where we learned all about Gareth and Rosie from birth. It was like two books in one until the past made sense with the present. That was an interesting storyline.

The Woman Inside is a spot on the perfect title for this book.

What I found comical about the book was it was mentioned that a journalist wanted to make Daisey’s story into a great docu-series. It would be snapped up by Netflix in no time. Reading this book I was thinking that Anna-Lou’s The Woman Inside should be made into a Netflix movie.
