This is a funny and adventurous story about two crustaceans that live in the ocean and want to keep there home clean and beautiful. They are in a competition but it turns ugly when trash just keep showing up. At first they think each other is sabotaging the other but then they realize that it is someone polluting the ocean. I love how this picture book shows kids at a young age to keep our earth clean and to recycle and not throw in our precious waters for our water life to keep surviving.
This book was awesome, and I would love to see it animated, just for the voices. Maybe Ben Aflec and Matt Damon, or the Walburg bros. Two lobsters with their heavy Boston accents figure out where all the pollution is coming from and send it back. The illustrations are great and the information in the back of the book is perfect. Kids are going to love this book.
Lobstah Gahden is a cute story written in a typical Boston accent. I thought the book was well written and the pictures nice. While I may not use this for any explicit lesson, I could see myself using it for a read aloud or just to have in my classroom to see my students laugh.
Lobstah Gahden by Alli Brydon was so cute! I cannot wait to get a copy for my classrooms and be able to read this one a loud to kids. The Glawssary was adorable as was the Boston accent throughout. At times, the story was trying too hard with the pollution issue, but loved it anyway.
I absolutely loved this book and the accuracy of the Boston accent! It was so funny to read! I don't know if kids would necessarily understand the funniness of the accent, but I thought it was a hoot!
This is the cutest book!! I would recommend this book to anyone who like lobsters or just needs a laugh
A funny and great story about a garden contest being sabotaged by liter! It’s a cute story that shows the consequences of littering and how important it is to try and conserve our oceans~! Plus it has a fun story about two lobsters who are competing for the best garden! The artwork is absolutely adorable and I think this would make a great read for kids!
*Thanks Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Kids for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*
I sort of liked it, but I feel like it was trying too hard (both on the Boston accent theme *and* the pollution storyline and kids will just roll their eyes. I'd give it a pass.
