A pleasant story about first steps with an educational opportunity for counting. The illustrations are big and appealing. I wasn't so keen on grey text but liked everything else about the book.

It is another book for babies, in this we see how they start to walk, and how their parents are there.
Cutest designs, very appealing to the youngest.

The book was a little out of order when I got it but after piecing it together it was very cute. I would buy for my 10 month old.

With several animals showing toddlers how it takes time, falls, and standing back up, as they learn to walk kiddos will love to read this storybook with lots of giggles.

Baby's first steps for parents is a milestone and a gateway. This sweet picture board book can encourage you and your baby in those first steps. With baby animals as they take their first steps. Some are unsure and some don't know where to start. Babies will love the colorful animals and parents will love reading to their little ones on the joy of taking those first step.

A special thank you to Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

Step by Step by Guido Van Genechten is a delightful book for young babies and younger children. The illustrations are simple with great contrast to engage a little ones attention. A variety of animals are shown trying to take their first steps in a clever manner. The theme of endurance and not giving up is also prevalent throughout the book. Each page has a simple text that will allow for a shorter attention span to focus and then find the joy in turning the page to the next. I especially loved how all illustrations were unified by similar large eyes. It provided continuity and my young son loved this book I think in large part due to the illustrations. The encouragement of needing a little help from a parent being acceptable at times was also a sweet theme found throughout the book.

I was provided a free review copy of this book by Net Galley in exchange for my honest review. The opinions shared are my own.

My toddler thinks this book is just about the cutest thing she's ever read. She is already a walked but the adorable penguin made this one a must-read to her, and sure enough, she just loves it! Books with animals, doing and learning skills that she knows are always a huge hit here at our house, and I cannot say enough good things about these adorable words and illustrations.

An adorable board lesson on getting back up again, I highly recommend this one for all your toddlers!

A sweet little story using cute baby animals that coaches children on how to stand up and take their first step. But also tells them it's okay if they fall.

This had such a cute illustration style, and the animals will definitely be a hit for young kids. There wasn’t much rhythm to the writing style, so there wasn’t an easy flow between pages and especially the ending.

A cute, short story that is the perfect length for little ones that may be learning to take their first steps. Each attempt in the book is met with reassuring love.

I was granted complimentary access to an eARC of Step by Step by the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Step by Step is a cute toddler age picture book about baby animals (and eventually a human toddler) all learning to stand and take their first steps. An off-page voice, presumably the parent, is offering guidance and encouragement. The illustrations are adorable and very colourful, and should hold a toddler's attention well.

(Now please excuse me while I go listen to some New Kids on the Block to get this earworm out of my brain...)

A little mouse wants to have its arms free to play the piccolo, a kitten needs to be mobile enough to chase a ball of wool, while an eager penguin chick wants to use the stilts and a skipping rope, even if not at the same time. Yes, the whole world's keen on getting past the crawling stage – and the very, very young person this will be shared with is hereby encouraged to not take failure lying down, but to bounce back up until they're upright and bipedal. Not being a breeder I have no idea whether walking should come first, or being able to absorb this text, or being able to identify a hippo – but it did seem to me that toddling was something, er, toddlers, did, and interacting with texts such as this came second. Still, I guess you might be able to improvise a kind of game with these very brief contents, and get your bab bob-bob-bobbing along.

This is a cute little children's board book which shows pictures of baby animals who are learning how to stand up and walk. Sometimes they will fall and that is ok as they will get up again to try once more. All babies and toddlers will love this book. I enjoyed reading it with my daughter.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
