This is a book about love and hope and what happens when people come together for good. Beautifully illustrated it shows just how powerful one person can be. Evan brought together his family, town, and the world with his resilience and positive nature. A beautiful book.

The boy who moved christmas is a very heartfelt story that is sure to resonate with everyone. Evan doesn't have long to live so his town bands together to give him an early Christmas. He is the star of the show as he gets to be a police officer for a day, view magnificent light displays, have a parade in his honor, and even be Santa's guest of honor on his sleigh. This is a beautiful story to share with the world.

I loved this book and it is a really touching story.

It is beautifully illustrated, I loved how it was written and it has a lovely slow to it.

It was only at the end that I realised that it was based on a true story and that made it an even more magical and special read and it was one that made me well up.

It is 5 stars from me for this one, a lovely read and a wonderful story that shows the way that the community came together for this special little boy – very highly recommended!

This would be appropriate for an older elementary child and best read with an adult to facilitate discussion and meaning behind the (true) story. Even for adults, this will make you take a step back and reexamine the meaning of the holidays. So beautiful!

This is a beautiful story about a community that bands together to cheer up a young boy with terminal cancer. When Evan Leversage is diagnosed with a form of brain cancer, they try all the treatments available, but to no avail. When the family is told that he will probably not be around for Christmas, friends and neighbours vow to give Evan a Christmas before he is gone. Christmas is Evan's favourite time of year, and they do not want him to be disappointed. They have a parade, lights and Evan even gets to ride with Santa on his sleigh. This is a wonderful uplifting story dealing with a very sad situation. It is based on a true story and has an afterward written by Evan's mom. The illustrations are wonderful and add much to the story. I did not read this one to my grandchildren as they are still young and I didn't want them to think something was going to happen to them. I would definitely read this to older children though.

The Boy who Moved Christmas is a heart-warming, touching and very sad little story, based on true events of a community who came together to move Christmas for one ill little boy who would be seeing his last Christmas. The entire town comes together and pulls out all the stops to decorate every square inch of their town to make it look as Christmassy and cheerful as possible.

The illustrations are beautiful and full of Christmas cheer which will warm any one’s heart, despite the sad story, this is a lovely festive treat full of kindness, happiness and true love, which is shown in a pure and innocent way.

With an afterword by Evan’s mother, this is a simple and inspiring tale.

This book is based on a true story about a little boy, Evan, with a short amount of time left on this Earth. It is about a community coming together and the love that can be spread in a short period of time. Beautiful story!

A heart warming and wrenching story about a town that moved Christmas to October for a boy with a brain tumor. The story is sweet and colorful and full of hope and love, but reading the note from Evan's mom at the end of the book brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful Christmas story to teach children that Christmas isn't about a day, but about loving other people.

We read this e-galley of this delightful book and then had to get a copy in print too. What a heart-wrenching but beautiful story of community in the face of adversity.

Before reading this book I had no idea it was based upon a true story about a brave boy called Evan and finding this out as I read it made it even more of a special and magical read!

Evan has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor and his family ask neighbours and friends to put up Christmas lights in October to help Evan celebrate his last ever Christmas. What happens next (which is the story in the book) is amazing - not only do neighbours and friends put up lights and decorations, but so do the shops, the whole town and even a snow machine is brought in! The police, firebrigade and paramedics make Evan an honorary police officer, firefighter and paramedic and Evan doesn't think his day could get any better until his favourite most anticipated visitor drops in.....

This is such a special and magical true story that shows the spirit of Christmas at its fullest, the live and support of a community and the unrelenting live of a mother and family. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us all. I smiled and cried reading this book and will be getting a paper copy as soon as I am able so I can remember such a special, brave and amazing Little boy and his magical Christmas forever.

What a beautiful true life story that was so bittersweet. It was so heart warming but also terribly sad as well
One for older children as I worry the subject matter would raise too many questions for my five year old.
Certainly one to keep for the future - it shows children the strength of human spirit and a sense of community.

This brought tears to my eyes - so sweet.

As the blurb explains, this is based on a true story of a ten-year old, Evan, who is dying of a brain tumor. The simple story and illustrations share how the entire community, police, firemen, shop owners and neighbors, join the family in moving Christmas to October to celebrate with Evan. They even arrange to provide a ride with Santa.

The story isn’t brilliant, and the illustrations aren’t polished, but the package is beautiful in its caring and sentiment. It would certainly be lovely if all communities could share such a giving and caring attitude all year long. The story creates a nice opportunity to share with children, healthy or ill, the caring spirit that is focused around Christmas. I would recommend this as a nice addition for families.

This is such a lovely Christmas book, although it’s quite sad as well as it’s based on a true story. It’s all about how a family and community came together to bring Christmas early to help a little boy celebrate one last time. The illustrations are lovely and I could feel the excitement and wonder in Evan’s heart as he experienced his best Christmas ever!

Honestly, this is a wonderful, true story that needs to be told. It's an absolute delight and a great read to teach the value of giving and the Christmas spirit. If this story doesn't bring a tear to your eyes... well, then you're crazy! It's such a beautiful, beautiful story.

Sweet but terribly sad at the same time, so almost bitter sweet, I chose not to read this to my girls as I felt it was aimed at older children.

This book is about Wellwood's son, Evan who was terminally ill, knowing he wouldn't survive till Christmas, they choose to start their celebrations early this wonderfully heart warming true story allows parents to broach the subject's that they wish to bring up with their children but don't always know how to go about and also allow parents to show the true meaning of Christmas, though we all go on about it, there are something that far out way presents and giving and that is time with those we love.

Evan is hard pressed for time and so his town come together to make sure that they can celebrate for Christmas to give one sick little boy the only thing he wants in the world. This book is about love in the purest of forms and that is really what Christmas is all about, love and spending time with our most precious people.

This one was quite heart-warming and lovely. I loved the illustrations and the writing, they were so beautifully done. I also really liked how they brought the true story into this book, so that others could read and get to know the story. This one was quite good.

This was a really beautiful book, based on a true story, about the magic of Christmas and a community coming together to help a little boy celebrate.

This is a Christmas book that is more towards an older child maybe 9-10, depending on their reading abilities. I am not one to cry over books but this one had me tearing up. It was so heartfelt I just wanted to hug this book. It really helps show the magic of Christmas and how just simple gestures are much better than loads of gifts! I truly enjoyed reading this book. I also had my son read it as well and he loved it too!
