This is one of Joan Wolf's best historical novels. As always she has a great eye for historical and cultural details. She seamlessly fits her very human characters into the past and brings it alive for the reader.

The story is the most important feature in historical fiction for me. The story in Daughter is compelling. The setting in superb. I would read more by this author and recommend them to our patrons who enjoy Christian fiction.
