I was a bit skeptical going into this book, because it feels like claiming that there's tips in here from the secrets of leaders, then we're going to get the same stuff that we always see, but honestly, that wasn't really what I got. I liked the anecdotes, I got some new tips and insights and overall, I really felt like that the book was a worthwhile read.
This books is akin to having a consulting CMO advise you on how to manage the marketing for your company or products to boost revenues via brand positioning, messaging and marketing. Loved the anecdotes used to demonstrate the concepts that will increase sales! This book might be a little daunting (and overkill ) for solopreneurs or freelancers, but it is brilliant advice for startups or companies entering new markets or those launching a new product.
The book is simply brilliant with its narration style and content. I have learned a lot about marketing and sales marriage, customer-centric approach in every step of business journey. All the information is well-illustrated by multiple examples and helps to deep dive in various business situations.
A rather short book but great condensed, to the point information. if you are a growing company, find which of the few scenarios your company's needs match against and take the suggested course. That should put you on the path to the revenue? do you not know your unique proposition? Is your amrketing aligned with your sales? Are you focusing on technology instead of benefits? Dont try to fit in, create a new marketing segment.
The Path to Revenue by Theresa Marcroft is a business novel with a unique perspective. That of the Marketer for new businesses that are trying to build traction in a fast-moving economy. She goes through her tips and the trends she saw while working with small businesses that either made the business or those that caused the business to fail. A great book for those entrepreneurs looking for an edge on building their success.
