Another great story in the matchmaker series. Theo and Albie’s story, Albie is determined not to get married and Theo is just as determined to train him into it. Not the outcome either expected but with banter and witty remarks they end up falling in love with each other, and when both face the Dowagers wrath split up, but love triumphs and the outcome is a happy ending for all. Great read would recommend to all historical romance readers.
Having suffered heartache and pain, Theodosia Ashbrooke hones her skills to become the best matchmaker in Bath. With a number of successes under her belt, she is faced with an impossible task, that of finding the rude and arrogant Earl of Lenskeyn a bride. Albemarle is uncooperative from the very beginning, making it known that he has no intention of marrying, nor of having a brood of children running around his legs. With her work cut out for her, Theodosia does not realise that in challenging Albemarle, she is getting under his skin and becomes the object of his focus. This entertaining romance has interesting characters, although the Dowager Countess of Lenskeyn is a terrifying character. I loved Albemarle's recalcitrant character and felt Theodosia's pain. Characters from previous books in this series appear in this one too, however, this romance is a standalone and comes to a happy and satisfactory conclusion. I received a copy of this novel as a gift from NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Emily Murdoch has done it again in her Never the Brides Series! This is a humorous story of the matchmaker, Theodosia, finding the one man who she can’t match! Amber ale Howard is putting thoughts in her head that she thought was buried long ago!
Albie is determined to have Theo and she is just as stubborn that she is going to find another bride for him that is of his class!
This journey is intriguing and the characters along the way will keep you turning the pages!
I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

All the way through this series Theodosia has been a constant character, always in the background, making her matches of all the couples, at least that’s her story.
Now it’s her turn, faced with her biggest challenge yet , a disreputable Earl in his 40th year who will not follow the rules of society.
She’s engaged to help him find a bride by the Dowager Countess, but gets more than she bargained for when he sets his sights on her.
Wonderful, this had me riveted to the pages and I was just reading till I finished without stopping
It’s quite lighthearted in places but serious in others , there’s more to this lady than meets the eye.
She has a sad past that she needs to deal with .
But love always finds a way.
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
Always the Matchmaker was a fun steamy regency romance. Theodosia (Teddy) and Albemarle were a match made in heaven they just didn't know it. Teddy, the ultimate matchmaker for the Ton and twenty eight is supposed to be setting the Earl up with a match but she soon becomes the match he's been looking or not looking for. Lovely characters make a lovely read.
Theodosia and Albemarle are names I’ve never heard before (and I do a lot of ancestry research), so it was a bit to think about how these people looked like.
Nevertheless the story had banter, witty remarks and falling in love. Very cute story. I always like the regency/historical romance stories where both are older then what was the “normal” age to marry.
I will check out other books by this author.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for this arc ebook in exchange for an honest review.
First i love the cover . A story about a 29 old matchmaker & a 39 old rude and arrogant earl . I loved that Albie first he did not want a wife and few dates later he was in love with the woman his mother has found to help him find a bride . A sweet and funny love story.
I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley.
