A really unusual collection, some of these stories have stayed with me in the week since I finished. A bit of a mixed bag but I really enjoyed the exposure to some new writers, thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

A beautiful literary annual consisting of short prose and illustrations that force the reader to question meaning and questions ourselves. Enjoyed reading NOON and would definitely read newer annuals in the future. I think out of the whole journal my favourite pieces were the short stories of which there were some I preferred to others. As a whole though, this journal is beautifully edited and is a cohesive collection.

My favourite pieces in NOON 2021 were Brush, Brush by Kathryn Scanlan and Brilliant, Loving, Generous by Zach Davidson. I always appreciate an opportunity to discover new writers.
